We called Maggy for assistance with our very beige bland décor. She came up with some excellent suggestions, broken down in phases to better plan the project, both time-wise and financially. Her contractors showed up when expected, and did quality work. The results were beautiful. Now we are purchasing another home. Maggy Costandy is a highly respected interior designer who has beautified New Bern, North Carolina homes for over 30 years. Maggie met with me to explore the type of changes we would like to see in our kitchen remodel. She was very patient and very knowledgeable. We were offered several options for our window treatment and settled on Hunter Douglas blinds. Of main concern to me was changing from an electric cook top stove to a gas stove-not an easy job. The final product is a joy to cook with. I love that the stove is in the middle of an island so that I can prepare food and also look out on the guests in my dining area and kitchen. Brookhaven custom cabinets were selected for the wall cabinets in the kitchen. The cabinets are two different colors, the base cabinets are wood maple and the upper cabinets, silver-pine, a beautiful combination, also suggested by Maggie. I chose Corian counter tops for durability and ease of care, the sand color plays into my desire to create a beach feeling. Maggie found the most exciting back splash- wavy tiles that remind one of the ocean. Additionally, Maggie offered selection of lighting appliances that completed the remodel of the kitchen. My husband and I felt that we were consulted and advised every step of the project. We would heartily recommend Maggie for your project.

We have used the services of Maggy Costandy Interiors many times in the 5 years since we moved to New Bern, NC. Her firm was highly recommended by our realtor. We bought a spec house that we wanted to modify to fit our needs and our furniture. Maggy helped us remodel closets, she designed custom vanities, countertops and light fixtures in two bathrooms, updated kitchen lighting and ceiling fans, and advised us on furniture placement and paint. We have been thoroughly pleased with the workmanship of all of Maggy's subcontractors, including electrical, plumbing, flooring, HVAC, and painting. Three years ago we undertook to expand out tiny screened porch. Maggy worked with the contractor that she recommended to design the new, much larger space. She oversaw the project, then helped us furnish it. It is now our favorite room in the house. More recently we asked Maggy to help us remodel the tub area in the master bath. She worked with us to install a Jacuzzi tub in an all-new surround and also changed the flooring. She suggested paint for the wall above the new tub. We were more than satisfied with her contractors and with the results. We use the tub everyday. Maggy Costandy has over 30 years of experience in the design field. She is creative, up to date on styles and materials, is quick to respond to phone calls and email, and is, not least of all, a pleasure to work with.
