Malinda OHara Interiors

We loved working with Malinda OHara on our basement remodeling project. She made the process easy for us. She started by learning how we wished to use the space and our desired budget for the project. She took extensive photos of the existing space and multiple detailed measurements. She then asked thoughtful and probing questions to learn additional information she could use to provide a design that would attain our goals. Quicker than we anticipated, Malinda provided a 3-D presentation that allowed us to view her unique design for the space. Her presentation allowed us to view her design concepts; colors for the ceiling, walls, trim and flooring; and placement of furniture we wished to retain. Together we reviewed the design and offered suggestions that she quickly incorporated into the final plan. Malinda is talented, knowledgeable, excellent to work with and has great ideas. She provided a unique design that will allow us to build the project within budget. We highly recommend Malinda OHara, will be using her again in the future.

5 stars are not enough! We didn’t have a huge project, but Malinda still made us feel heard and special. Really worked with us trying to figure out what WE want and what makes sense in our space. She even answered questions I had on the weekend when she didn’t have to. I am so happy we found her. What a gem!!

Love working with Malinda! She helped us freshen up our dining room and pick out items for a small bathroom remodel. We are doing the labor on our own but it’s so nice to have a plan and her expertise to guide us. Plan on working with her again as we make updates throughout the rest of the house.

Malinda was wonderful to work with to style our new home. She was very “in tune” with our style, budget and scope of work. Very friendly, considerate of our time, and returned a great package in a timely manner. Very open to answering any questions on her design.

We sought design help with our basement finish project after having a hard time visualizing (and agreeing) how to divide up the rooms without it looking choppy. After seeing our basement in-person and talking with us about how we hoped to use the spaces, Malinda created a wonderful 3D Floor Plan and Furniture layout that allowed us to see how the space will flow and feel once it’s finished. Highly recommend!!

Malinda is so amazing! We went back and forth on using a designer for our basement and we are soooo happy we did. Designer by our side was exactly what we needed to make sure we got the basement of our dreams. Malinda prepared questions and details to discuss with our contactor we would have never thought of!! With Malinda on board we stayed within our budget and received more then we ever thought was possible!

Malinda helped me with a project to update the tile in my kids jack and jill bathroom and sink areas along with the bathroom in our spare bedroom. We were getting new carpet in the surrounding area, and I needed to find tile and grout that would coordinate well. I struggle with the aesthetics, so I called Malinda to help with this. We scheduled a meeting at a home improvement store to get started after she saw photos of my area. She met me promptly and we started our search. She was very knowledgeable about what would work well as far as sizes, colors and shapes. Malinda helped me narrow it to a few options and we loaded up samples to take back to my house. We looked at the samples in the space that was being redone and were able to narrow it to the best tile and grout color. My project finished about a month ago and totally refreshed an outdated space. Malinda did a great job of helping me find the best fit while still being mindful of my style and price point. I couldn't have done it without Malinda!

Malinda was fantastic to work with. She helped me pick out interior paint. And she also helped me update my hearth and great room. She used existing decor and brought in some new items to tie it all together. She was amazing.

Malinda has done an incredible job helping us with our bathroom remodel. At our first visit she was able to take our vision and create a 3-D design. The 3-D design made it easy for me to visualize what our bathroom will look like. The design was also very helpful for when I met with our contractor. I was able to show this to him and he had measurements as well as a clear direction as to what we would like our project to look like. Working with Malinda has been a joy she is very talented, organized, and attentive to detail. I highly recommend Malinda OHara Interiors!

She has a spectacular eye for design, color, and materials and a masterful way of delving into our general and rather unformulated ideas and honing them into a gorgeous, perfectly executed plan.
