Marie Ballance

Marie has been working with us for almost 8 months and has been phenomenal. We were already 12 months into an almost full house remodel and were losing steam and she was just what we needed. She has a great eye and design style. She is easy with which to work and invests in your projects. She is responsive and hands on. She hung pictures and mirrors and assembled furniture!! She handled any returns and tirelessly searches for what will bring the look, style and function to your home. The greatest evidence of how well she has done for us is the compliments that we receive constantly when people visit our home.

Marie went above and beyond my expectations. She puts so much thought and passion into her projects. Her eye for detail and design is on another level. I’ve worked with other designers in the past that just don’t match up to Marie’s vision. Not only did she design and renovate our very dated bathroom, but our closet, garage and dining room. I have nothing but faith in her, and would highly recommend her to anyone. And a BONUS…she’s one of the kindest people I know!

I had the good fortune to work with Marie on a large 14 month long project renovating a 4000 square foot condominium. I first met Marie a few years prior when she designed a closet and Murphy bed for my home. I knew then that she’d be my go to designer, easy to work with and super creative. I’m happy to say my respect for Marie as an interior designer grew exponentially and she’s still easy to work with! Marie is creative in diverse styles, takes inspiration from everything and everywhere and listens to her clients before presenting a design brief. She’s courageous, never cookie cutter and takes time to evaluate color and lighting. She’ll embrace every challenge while retaining her passion for design and never gets sidetracked no matter what comes up.

Marie Ballance has helped me out with several rooms in my home including picking out paint colors for every room in my home, a full kitchen remodel, living room remodel, my bedroom and my daughters bedroom. She has the gift of thinking outside of the box and thinking of innovated ideas for a home that you would have never thought of. She is my GO TO when decorating my home. I am so happy to have found a designer that is so talented. Thank you Marie!

Maria remodeled the entire downstairs of my house after Harvey. She picked up the project after the contractor I hired fell flat. Marie is the whole package. She designs the project and runs the job with her own subs. She also decorated and provided the finishing touches. She’s very easy to work with and takes great pride in her work.

Marie is fun, realistic and intuitive. She appreciates your input but is not afraid to help you explore options you may not have considered. Marie will never make you do something beyond your creative capacity. She also is an expert at managing your project. If something is not up to her standards she will correct the problem so you do not have to deal with a subcontractor in your own home. Lastly the woman loves to maximize a dollar so you feel like you get a bargain in the end. What a deal! She started with our laundry room, completed our home office, then chose the entire color palette for our hose and finished with our craft/ entertainment space. As you can see we are huge fans. Please consider Marie for any project, she is stellar.

Marie was great to work with. She understood our vision and took an unused junk room and turned it into a beautiful space that makes getting dressed everyday a pleasure. Her crew was professional and finished the project right on time. Highly recommend this designer and we will definitely be using her on future projects..

I just had Marie design and install my master closet!! I absolutely love it!! We went from having an overstuffed unorganized mess to complete organization (I even have 6 empty shelves to fill)! The installers did prep, repair and paint the first day - then installation on the second day. I look forward to having her design and install many other products for us in our new house!!

Marie designed the perfect utility room for my small space. Floor to ceiling, wall to wall cabinets provide the storage my home desperately needed. I love my new Closet Factory cabinets. Marie was so easy to work with and she had a vision of the space that was perfect for my needs. I will contact Marie again for a future project.

Just took a seldom used bedroom and turned it into a walk in closet. I called a couple of specialty closet companies and a couple of contractors. The specialty closet companies' were far and away the most competitive. In working with Marie, she did an amazing job designing for the space which already had a couple of built ins that I wanted to work around rather than tear out. She was willing to make adjustments to the plan to meet some of my goals. Once we agreed to use the Closet Factory, the installation went like clock work. The installers were on time, on schedule, and Marie stopped by on the day of installation to check the progress. Even though this was a small project, I felt like she gave me the attention to detail and service she gives every client. I would use her again.

Marie with Closet Factory designed and built 3 walk in closets for our home. They were a master, pantry and utility closet. Over the years we have had many custom closets designed and built. Marie and Closet Factory have been the best to work with by far regarding the design, workmanship and value. For this home we had several companies that took measurements and notes then sent a computerized plans that had little of the items we requested. Marie spent a great deal of time at our home drawing and redrawing our plans to include all of our wishes and must haves! Marie is creative, hard working and especially pleasant with the desire to please her clients. Her install crew was exceptional in regards to their respect for our home and their workmanship. Marie and Closet Factory were excellent in their communication and timeliness . We felt our money was well spent!

I have done five projects with Marie over the years (three pantries, a laundry room and a bedroom/office/closet build-out) and would highly recommend her work. She is a consummate designer whose listening skills, product knowledge and design flair combine to make her projects spectacular. She starts by investing the time to deeply understand what it is the client is trying to achieve and how they will use the space, then she comes up with the best solution and collaborates on the finishes and other details. She's a class act and a joy to work with. I'm very pleased and proud of the results. The pantry she did in one house we owned was a significant selling point when we put the house on the market.
