We worked with Marie to remodel and design our apartment. Our experience with Marie was fantastic! She was able to understand what we wanted and work with us to find the exact pieces and overall look for our home. She took over the project with enthusiasm and was always very responsive to our needs. She created beautiful design options and presented us with amazing 3D renderings. Marie and her team also managed the entire project and dealt with all suppliers, contractors and installers with a very organized process and with great results. I could not be more Thankful to Marie Burgos and her team for the wonderful work they did in my home in Los Angeles. I purchased a property built in the 1060s which needed an entire remodel of the kitchen, 3 bathrooms and overall space. Marie proposed great design options with amazing 3D renderings and managed the entire project from creation, to contractors and installations management, and purchasing of all material and furniture pieces. My family and I now have a beautiful contemporary designed home we are proud to showcase to family and friends. We could have never done that transformation without Marie and her team. Every single thing I asked for, Marie was able to give me in the design including utilizing areas of my home that I wasn’t currently maximizing. She is wonderful to work with. Marie Burgos is the consummate professional and, through her sense of feng shui, was very sensitive to the interplay between colors, space, shape, light, shadow and texture in my home. Her cayenne lounge seating is gorgeous and finely complements her mouth blown ballroom chandelier. and pendant lighting. I purchased a chair and lighting and am delighted with the quality of the pieces. Her suggestion for flooring to highlight the colors was brilliant. We started working with Marie about a year and half ago. She did our house which is a 12,000 ft2 property. During this big project, we faced several unexpected issues and she made everything she could to ease on us and make us feel relaxed and comfortable. By combining new innovative ideas with our wants and needs Marie helped us make this property our home. Throughout the entire process she was very tuned to our requests. We used Marie Burgos Design to remodel and decorate our New York City Upper East Side 3 bedroom apartment. We were on a tight deadline as we had to move out of our previous apartment. Marie was amazing. Not only did she work with in our time constraints and budget but the apartment looks gorgeous. Everything is fabulous. Marie did a beautiful job decorating our home. She has great attention to detail and came up with ideas we would never have envisioned on our own, but in a manner which fully reflected our personal style. My sister mentioned once, "Wow, your interior designer really has the same style as you do!" To that I responded, "I'm not exactly sure what my designer's personal style is; I just know she spent a lot of time getting to know my style." Marie and her husband Francis were consummate professionals with respect to all aspects of the project, doing what needed to be done to meet a couple of major deadlines. Marie was patient and understanding when she needed to be (i.e. With my occasional frustrations with respect to inventory delivery delays) and pushed when she needed to (i.e. In managing vendors and contractors). She was very organized, particularly with respect to budgeting, purchasing and record management. I highly recommend Marie Burgos Design.

Marie helped us redesign a small studio in the Flat Iron district. She proposed color, furnishings, arranged the installation of a Murphy Bed, modernized the kitchen etc. It was a pied a terre and we loved it and we fell in love with New York. We sold this unit fully furnished and moved to a penthouse in Tribeca. We called Marie. She helped us put together a two bedroom apartment that was the most beautiful modern space ever. Marie has a tremendous taste level, listens, is professional and a pleasure to work with. We couldn't recommend her more highly

When we bought our home back 2014 we had an idea for a master bedroom suite on the 3rd floor. We went on Houzz.com looking for a local designer based in Brooklyn to do the design work on the bathroom part of the renovation and also spend our money in the Borough of Brooklyn. We accomplished both with Marie. Marie made the master bathroom the focal point of a renovation. Marie did a stunning job incorporating our ideas and concepts into a useable, functional, spectacular space with tons of light. The original space was a small kitchen with a bathroom next to it. We gutted it and using Marie's plans created a gracious and tasteful master bathroom with a copper claw foot tub and fully enclosed shower. Marie lives for this type of design. As this was a completely raw and gutted space her attention to detail is apparent everywhere, from the huge tub next to the window overlooking our backyard to the two sink counter to the sliding glass door shower. We could not be happier and would recommend Marie to anyone looking to rehabilitate a bathroom or an entire home!

We are general contractors in Hoboken Nj and we have worked with many designers during our career. None however impressed us like Marie Burgos Designs. Marie and Francis are extremely professional, detail oriented, and accommodating. By accommodating I mean they are able to work within any given budget and produce incredible results. They are always available via email or phone and are very easy to work with. They provide full color presentations with many options at different price points. They just don't "see" a space...they "feel" a space. Highly recommend!

We worked with Marie to decorate our new 3,000 sq foot loft space in Soho. While my husband and I had some ideas of what we wanted, we really struggled trying to bring those ideas into reality, which is where Marie came in. After our initial meeting where we did our best to describe what we were looking for, Marie came back to us with a beautiful presenation of ideas, materials and suggestions that absolutely blew us away. The process from there was relatively straight forward, as she helped us select items and colors that would flow together, and helped us navigate through road blocks when issues arose. She has amazing contacts in the design world and was able to find items that we didnt even know existed, and also helped us coordinate with ourside vendors as well (contractor, sound systems, built in closets, etc). The most impressive part however, was that even with some of the issues that arose during the process (items out of stock or backordered, construction issues with the building that didnt support some of the ideas we had, etc), she still managed to keep our project within the initial proposed budget. We now live in a beautifully decorated apartment that we absolutely love coming home to every day. Thank you Marie!

I found Marie Burgos design and, after interviewing Marie Burgos extensively hired her to guide the decorating project. She proved to be reliable, competent, sincere and calm and my apartment became the talk of the building. I undertook a gut renovation of my newly purchased one bedroom apartment about 2 years ago. Because I had and have no intentions of ever moving again, I wanted the space to be a place in which I could be happy for the next several decades. The architect came up with a great design, the builder executed it well, and Marie Burgos made it home. She worked within my budget to create a peaceful and inviting space which, although relatively small (800 square feet), feels open, light, airy, comfortable and elegant at the same time. It is perfect for me alone, but can also seat and accommodate a fairly large party, if and when I feel the urge to entertain. Marie even worked with me to create an environment that is pet friendly but hides the pet "accoutrements" that we, over-indulgent pet owners, feel compelled to provide for our furry companions. Marie listens and is very responsive to any concerns. She has opinions but was totally respectful of mine, even when mine were not the best choice. She was able to show me a better way when I lost mine in the kindest possible manner. Marie has a wonderful sense of color, continuity and flow. She puts special touches here and there that the average person like me would never think of. For instance, I have a blue-green ceiling color in my bedroom I would never in a million years have thought to use. It lends such peacefulness and elegance to the room and so beautifully reflects the light from the fixture we chose. Anyone interested in having a top notch designer create the perfect home should look no further than Marie Burgos Design. Marie is fantastic!

I was incredibly impressed by Marie Burgos from the amazing articles I have read about her online, to her experience, background and training. She is an incredibly talented designer that truly can provide suggestions for any budget and has an innate ability to relate to and understand her clients. She Listens very well and is shockingly accurate in her interpretation of what the client is trying to say. We asked for a feng shui design consultation and her analysis of our needs was spot on, she used the time efficiently and effectively. We were able to start implementing suggestions on furniture placement and design as soon as she left. She also saved us thousands with her advice not to buy the furniture we were considering and instead provided significantly better suggestions to declutter, organize and create a warmer feel in our condo and how to best utilize our space. She is worth it! She is passionate about what she does, cares about her clients and sincerely wants to help each client achieve their goals. Highly recommend her and her service was beyond what I expected from her website and experience I read about online. Marie is knowledgeable and skilled. You'll feel lifted, energized and have a gameplan ready to be implemented by the time she leaves your home. Marie was a pleasure to work with. She made the entire renovation and decorating experience fun and easy. I purchased a 2-bedroom apartment that desperately needed renovating and was overwhelmed by the enormity of the undertaking. Marie was calm and knowledgeable, and her design aesthetic is modern and fresh. She developed a design plan for the space. Then she oversaw the contractors and suppliers. Marie has wonderful contacts, everything from tile suppliers to art galleries to an artisan who makes furniture from reclaimed wood. She also really came to understand my taste in furniture and art. I now have a beautiful home that I love.

Marie Burgos did the remodeling of my 3000SF loft apartment. She did a beautiful work from conception/ creation of the design to choosing each piece and finishes as well as managing the project. A small bathroom remodeling ended up a complete disaster. A vanity with a raised sink is nearly a foot too high. A faucet barely enters the sink area. Initial design mis-measurements caused the counter-top to split. She didn't supply the contractor with proper instruction on the glass tiles causing huge cost overruns and months of delays. Furniture that was custom designed, but badly finished was not rejected, but accepted. Her CAD design, while slick was inaccurate. What you see on her web page http://tinyurl.com/nlpongc is not real as we didn't allow her to take actual photos. She never took responsibility when something went wrong the end result being a badly functioning bathroom that requires a complete make-over. I would never hire Marie again and urge caution for those who do.

She is always in a cheerful mood with a great and flexible taste. She works her best all of the time to leave her customers satisfied. Marie is a true professional and very talented in what she does. She design my one bedroom apartment. I felt the apartment was very small but she showed me how wrong I was. She was very knowledgeable about designing. I gave her a few ideas of what I wanted and she went from there. Every piece of furniture fit perfectly. I had a short time window to get in the space and she was able to meet my deadline. I now have a fabulous apartment. She was great. It was fun working with her.

I cannot recommend Marie Burgos highly enough! I have used her on two occasions to provide staging. The first was for a $10M trophy penthouse which sold within 2 weeks of Maries staging. Not only did she have the perfect asthetic for the property, she was extremely organized and efficient, a pleasure to work with and brought so much more to job than I ever expected! She was on time, on budget and did an amazing job. Everything was perfectly placed, no waste & no excess - it was all just spot-on! It has recently been my pleasure to hire Marie again to stage the model unit of a new development in West Soho. This property required a different look than our previous project and with just a few words on what we needed, Marie again came through with flying colors! She did another AMAZING job creating just the right look to complement our project. We had numerous delays, as is customary with the uncertainties of a development project, Marie graciously adjusted while remaining the ultimate professional. It is a great pleasure to work with her and again, I cannot recommend her highly enough!!!

Going from a two bedroom apartment with one bathroom for a growing family of five to a five bedroom/five bathroom four and one half floor home was very scary. Choosing paint color had us loosing sleep. Marie listened to what we wanted and helped us put it all together. she was professional and precise. She worked fast and whatever questions we had after she had given us our consultation report were welcomed and answered in a timely fashion.

Marie Burgos personifies class, taste, and elegance. She takes the stress out of decorating because she cares, takes time to listen and puts thought into every recommendation. But that is just the start and evident at the consultation. She was responsive to every call, text, and e-mail throughout the project. She organized the orders, had the contacts, took me shopping, and worked within my budget. Most importantly, and for what I will be forever grateful, she turned my apartment into both a showpiece and (functional) home. It has been my distinct pleasure to work with Ms. Burgos, not only on this project, 800 Grand Concourse, but many other projects over the past 5 years as well. Ms.Burgos is the consumate professional.! Her attention to detail and her keen eye for design meshed with her client's needs are exceptional ! In this particular project, her client had a general concept what she wanted to do from a design concept but was limited by spacial constraints. Ms.Burgos reccomended some possible alternatives and her client was extremely happy. It was my responsilbilty to come up with specific product alterrnatives that would work within Ms.Burgos's plan but ultimately Ms. Burgos made the final decisions . In closing, working with Ms. Burgos and her clients was a labor of love. Anyone looking for a PROFESSIONAL designer could not find anyone more competent or professional than Ms. Burgos.
