Marie is fabulous to work with and takes all the stress out of home decor. She has a talented staff and they excel in what they do. She furnished an entire house for us from soup to nuts, and the outcome was fabulous. We were so pleased.

We have worked with Marie on and off for several years, slowly remodeling and updating our home. We recently had some kitchen modifications completed and the look is fabulous. We have worked with Marie and her delightful team several times over the past dozen years. I would never trust my design needs to anyone else. We love all of her recommendations and appreciate her relentless efforts to deliver extraordinary results, and at the same time, stay within our budget. Initially we put in beautiful hickory hardwood floors throughout our home, a new fireplace mantel and surround in our living room, all new paint and baseboards. Then later added beautiful rugs, all new light fixtures and upgraded our bedroom fireplace, mantle and surround within our built-in cabinets. Now we are remodeling our large hallway bathroom, master bathroom, vanity area and enlarging our small master walk-in closet. The hallway bathroom is finished and so pretty I just can't wait for the master to be done as well! When my wife and I started the remodel project of our 22 year old home, we did not fully understand the scope of our undertaking. We spoke to several designers, and knew immediately that Marie Leonard of Marie Lyall Interior Design was the professional we anted to work with. Her demeanor is always calm, her patience endless, and her design ideas and selections perfectly reflected our style. She was able to create her design recommendations through countless conversations, paying such careful attention not only to our words, but also our unspoken cues. She has guided us through countless decisions, from floors, cabinetry, counter tops, lighting and plumbing fixtures, doors, hardware, furniture, accessories, and countless other small details with meticulous care and kindness. Marie is one of the most perceptive and organized people I have ever worked with. Through discussions and looking around at our place she got a sense of what we might like for our remodel. Since all was done during the pandemic, browsing at stores, i.e. tile, granite, lighting, cabinet, plumbing etc, was not possible. Marie provided many samples and over time helped us narrow them down and make our choices. She was methodical in her process and patient as we made so many big decisions. Based on her many years of experience, she always had a solution to the tricky issues that came up. I recommend Marie without any reservations!

Following our later-in-life marriage, my husband and I bought a new home to make our own. Though we both have a sense of our own style, neither of us felt that we had the skills to create the surroundings we wanted in the cohesive manner we hoped for. After asking for recommendations on designers, Marie's name came up numerous times so we gave her a call.....and I am THRILLED that we did!!! Marie is not only a delightful, fun and caring woman to work with, she has a really keen eye for what I would call the "unseen", a way of envisioning what could be that my husband and I don't have. She has taken the time to really get to know each of our likes and dislikes by presenting her ideas, suggesting different approaches, showing us photos and really listening to our responses, both verbal AND non-verbal! Marie also has a wealth of reources at her fingertips, something that we have found to be priceless! Right now, with COVID having thrown everyone a nasty curveball, resources in the form of contractors, skilled workers, and supplies of all types, are extremely difficult to come by. Marie has pulled it all together and, in my opinion, miraculously stays on top of every little detail, keeping us apprised of all of the pieces of the puzzle. From interior construction modifications right down to the fabrics on the furniture, Marie juggles it all with the help of her very able team. I cannot imagine trying to do all of this without her!!! To conclude, Marie is creating with us a home environment that we are super excited about. We trust her completely and so appreciate her talents and hard work. I really don't think you can go wrong if you choose to work with Marie!!!
