Working with Steve is a delightful and collaborative experience, Steve listens so well, and gives options that define your style and fit your budget. He handles details professionally, communicates quickly and is is truly enjoyable to work with. Our living room is so inviting now, we previously used it twice a year. Our dining room is staggering updated, Steve designed a wine cabinet that is unique and fits us to a “t”. The game room has new life breathed into it. In addition, Steve helped us pick the paint colors throughout our entire house. Steve helped our son with his condo in SF. He understands the 30 year old, young professional look that was so lacking in a difficult space to design (long and skinny room with a fireplace and a massive tv) The talent he has, his ability to help people of all ages, and his masterful attention to details make him easy to recommend highly.

Steve and Matt made all our design wishes come true. Super professional and intuitive. They helped with every detail. Impeccable style, creative ideas and great service. We lost our house in the 2017 Tubbs fire. From assisting us with design adjustments in n the build to every other aspect, Steve was there for us. He listened as we struggled through the process of designing a home we never thought we’d be building and he took our concepts and created renderings that allowed us to visualize every room in our house. From sinks to countertops to fixtures and furniture, Steve nailed it all. His ability to take our vision from theory to reality was amazing, thoughtful and sincere...and we did it all within budget (we were stretched pretty thin at times being fire rebuilders). Steve and Matt were instrumental in assisting me to transform my older home in Novato to today's standards for resale. They were conscious of my budget and helped me select upgrades that would really matter to today’s buyer. From floors to paint, lighting, bathroom fixtures and cosmetic changes, they have the ability to see how things flow, are beautiful yet functional and would appeal to homeowners. Finished product was outstanding and I wanted to stay in the home! We went ahead with the sale and were stunned at the reception it received. Due to Steve & Matt’s design implementations we received multiple offers well above asking price. I have continued to consult with Marracar on my new home for décor updates and receive timely and personalized service. I would not hesitate to recommend them!

Steve is a joy to work with - he listens carefully and seems to understand your vision, even if you can't clearly articulate it. His finished product is beautiful and comfortable and reflects you...not a magazine layout. He is with you throughout the project, deadlines are met and promises kept. He stays within the budget you have established and suggests products of good quality. I coud not recommend him any higher and, in fact, have recommended him to several friends.

Marracar Design provided us with excellent ideas for interior trim, pulls & knobs, flooring, colors etc. They have a good knowledge of the materials and products available for interior design. In addition they were very helpful with the layout of master bath floor plan. We adapted all their ideas to build our new house and we are very pleased wit the results!

We bought our 1956 era home 2 years ago and were downsizing and relocating from out of state. Steve was such a pleasure to work with guiding us in finding our new style in the Bay Area. We first met Steve Marraffino several years ago when we were staging our house for sale. We were very impressed with his abilities styling our large 19th Century Dutch Colonial house and especially since it sold almost immediately. When we bought our current modern home, which needed a major remodel, we hired Steve to assist us in the design and the decorating of the house. We felt that Steve’s fresh ideas would transition us from a traditional to a modern look. Steve was invaluable in the design and artistic elements of the remodel as well as finding the right furniture, accessories, paint colors, carpets and fabulous window treatments that fit the home perfectly while also working with some of our favorite pieces. While we have worked with several interior designers over the years, Steve’s process was collaborative in understanding what we were trying to achieve, listening to our ideas and helping us create exactly what we wanted within a reasonable budget. The end product that he created has made the difference between an ordinary living space and a space that is a joy for us to live in every day as our home. We have been in our new home for over a year and we still wander around enjoying every element of every room. Steve has also helped us decorate for special occasions and holidays transforming our home to meet the festivities. We would highly recommend Steve Marraffino.
