Maura has a great combination of design creativity, practicality, and attention to detail. Her design ideas well reflected our vision and she was flexible and open to change if needed. She was thoughtful about balancing design, quality and budget so as not to sacrifice overall quality but to remain in budget. And she was detail oriented (anticipating potential bottlenecks) and direct with service providers to make sure they completed as promised.

How often can one say that he/she enjoyed doing a renovation! I can! Working with Maura made this usually challenging process both interesting and actually fun. She demonstrated immediately that she understood my taste and what I desired as a finished product. She had an impressive group of experts with whom she has worked over the years, whose talents she sought out for custom built-ins and other project requirements. Her professionalism was evident to me, and I could see the respect that she received from the people with whom she interacted in order to complete my renovation. The project proceeded smoothly, on time, within budget. Maura made herself available to address questions or concerns that I may have had. My house renovation project ran like a well oiled machine, thanks to the dedication and determination of Maura Braun. In 18 months we transformed the house from a mid 90’s style to a late 1800’s old world chateau. I under took this project with the same passion and hands on approach that I give to all of my business projects. This home has been a part of my life for the last 61 years. I felt it was time to bring it up to it’s full potential of an Old World French Provincial Chateau exuding a European atmosphere, on both the interior and exterior. As a result, I truly feel as though I am living in a French Villa on the Mediterranean. I live on lake Michigan in Evanston. The home and grounds have finally fulfilled my dreams.

Maura did a excellent job in our home. She has helped us with various interior design elements in our home. She has always found what we needed, done so in a timely manner and made sure to followthrough with the workmen. I feel many designers can find what you need and bring it to you-the thing I really like about Maura is her followthrough. She comes and checks on the workmen if you have a issue she is right there. She sees the project through to the end. I find many designers find what you need, find the workmen and then just leave them to install and finish and often the job is not done correctly and the designer who started is nowhere to e found. Mauras professionalism and work ethic are excellent. I would highly recommend her.Also, she completed several projects for us we stared working with her maybe 15 years ago-so various projects with varying cost-mostly high end.

We remodeled our 20 year old master bathroom and bedroom. Maura gave us a beautiful, tranquil and spa like room that we love.

I have worked with Maura on previous projects so I know she can listen to me and translate my ideas as to the look I want to realize. I absolutely trust her judgement. The past year she helped us come up with a contemporary yet warm design for our new condo - kitchen - dining - living area. I gave her a "4" only because I've never worked with anyone else.

Maura Braun designed and renovated our kitchen, three bathrooms, den, and laundry room. She is professional with an easygoing personality who listens to your needs and design style. We would not hesitate to use Maura again.

Maura is a delight to work with. Ten years ago she helped us design living, dining, sitting and foyer rooms. We were so completely satisfied that upon considering remodeling a master bedroom, bath and family room, there was no question who would do it. In all of our experience with Maura we have found her to be brilliant with our npersonal use of space and desires for certain concepts. For example we live in a wooded area and want to feel as if the inside is just an extension of the outside, while wanting a cozy, intimate and comfortable space. Maura makes it happen. Maura builds upon our discussions, providing progressive design plans and options. Carefully reviewing her drawings and ideas with us, she has a keen sense of the customers' understanding, and need for more or less detail; more or less options and examples, when to provide more drawings and actual physical products and samples. She encourages us to study samples in various light; she helps us with moch-ups - anything that will help us visualize and get a good feel for her suggestions. At times, we had to travel and leave large gaps in the process. We were impressed with her flexibility and ability to keep us in the loop and on target, using email communication/updated drawings and mail delivery of product samples. In general, Maura's organizational and coordinating skills are wonderful. We had to do a lot if retro-fitting of new areas with old 120 yr old house areas. Maura managed the whole process, providing us with a timeline/schedule of work to be performed. So many crafts were involved; having someone like Maura who has a long catalogue of all of your build/decorating professionals is quite desirable for us, not really knowing which plumber, electrician, painter, etc to employ. From these professionals to the ordering and delivering of products, Maura made life quite easy for us during the project.

I am a General Contractor, and I have been working with Maura Braun for quite a few years now and I would definitely recommend Maura Braun for any Interior Designer needs. Professional, Prompt and Respect are only a few of the qualities you will get when working with Maura and she has many more that would fill up this page. Maura can take any project and turn it from bad to fab in a way that others can not. I have had the pleasure of working with Maura Braun Interior Designs for years. What I really like about her firm is that her design process creates beautiful warm interiors that stand the test of time. The industries we both work in, while very very different, have constant change. Maura's use of materials and design not only stays current for years but holds up to a family's demanding use. Too many times I have seen families not think about the materials that go into the design of a space.
