Maureen was excellent to work with - she was professional, yet easy to talk to with ideas of likes or dislikes. Everything was so seamless from start to finish. She really got a good sense of taste for our style and budget right away ! Never pushy, or swayed us in any way of a style or purchase of an item - in fact the opposite which made it so enjoyable. We will continue to use Maureen for other future rooms; highly recommend !!!!

I would give Maureen and her team more than 5 stars if I could! I hired her to interior decorate a spare guest room that I also wanted to double as a media room and dressing room, as well as a cramped entryway I was having a hard time furnishing and making useful due to the lack of space. Maureen did a phenomenal job on both! To kick off, Maureen did a detailed intake form with me, where I could list my design loves and dislikes, along with my inspiration boards. She immediately understood my aesthetic, which I was thrilled about. Then, she provided 3d modeling renders of what the spaces could look like. I've attached a few example of the modeling renders. I really liked that she gave me multiple options for each furniture and decor piece, along with a range in prices for each. There was never pressure on me to buy the most expensive thing, or to spend unnecessarily large amounts of money on items that easily could be purchased at more economic price points. I was able to mix and match from the variety of suggestions she provided, and I've attached the final product where I landed! I'm in love with my new space. Not only is it beautiful and functional, but the furniture is very comfortable to sit on, even for long hours. Anytime someone stops by, I get compliments on the space. In the past, I worked with other interior designers who ordered items without my permission, wouldn't stay within my budget, misquoted timelines on deliverables, or demanded unreasonable sums to support even the smallest of projects. I didn't have any of these issues with Maureen, which was a huge relief and made the interior design process so much more fun and pleasant... and on budget! I'd strongly recommend her for any interior design project!

Maureen Stevens and her design team have been truly amazing to work with. Maureen presented me with option for my design project and I loved all of her ideas right away and the feedback on possible changes I gave was quickly returned with other options. When working with a designer we all want to know we can be honest and tell each other when we love, like, or dislike a component of the design and Maureen makes you so comfortable and able to be honest and open. She loves color and is so creative with spaces. She stayed within my budget and came up with fun and inexpensive ideas for spaces that could have cost me a fortune to furnish. Maureen and Kathlyn brought a different style to my house than the basic white and creams. They adjusted the style of the house based on conversations with me and truly listened. They are extremely attentive to details and follow up. I've opened up my house to others several times since they've made changes in the house and people are very impressed. I've passed their number along to several people. A true professional team that will provide a lasting look.

Zero collaboration or consideration of my style or preference. Extremely high fee when end of day designs given (with zero check-ins along the way) we’re completely wrong- and did not leverage any inputs shared via questionnaire or mood boards sent. Felt like she had the design ready before she met me and then assigned a huge hour amount as it had zero reflection of inputs from me.

Maureen and her team are wonderful! I interviewed and met with probably 5 or so interior decorators/designers, receiving proposals from several, before deciding to go with Maureen. I have never hired a designer before and she helped guide me through the process and did the best job at understanding what my needs were. We had a couple initial meets to talk about how I wanted my home to look and then tackled my home room by room (including porches). I love the results of our efforts - I have a beautiful, comfortable, warm, and fun home that I share with my daughter (her friends) and our dog. Sometimes I just stand and look at my living room and can't believe it's mine! I receive a ton of compliments from guests. On more than one occaision I've been sitting inside near the front windows and heard passers by compliment my home ("Look at that beautiful chandelier!"). Maureen and her team provided a variety of affordable and on-sale furnishing options, as well as more expensive ones, and let me choose where I wanted to save or splurge. They also coordinated the installation of items (wallpaper, window treatments, hanging items on walls) and made everything very simple and stress-free for me. I highly recommend them!

Maureen is a fantastic designer and is a true joy to work with. She was great about listening to my vision for my home, asked questions about the brands and styles I like as well as my desired price points for furniture and decor, and then gave me a range of options to meet my needs. I've been working with Maureen and her assistant Kathlyn for about 2.5 years (I had a lot of rooms that needed furniture and decor!) and it's been a great experience. She's quick to respond and is flexible and helpful. I highly recommend her for any and all design projects!

Hiring Maureen Stevens for your interior design needs is like ordering beignets as Cafe Du Monde - it's a no brainer. I was referred to Maureen by a friend, and I'll be paying it forward with my own referrals. 6 months ago, I was a new owner of a condo in downtown Austin with near-buyer's remorse. My space was empty, I couldn't picture it being "home", and I came to ask myself if I'd made the wrong decision. Maureen changed that. She took my half-baked idea of a theme (a condo with the modern edginess of the show Billions, combined with the rustic lodge feel of the show Yellowstone), and turned it into a product. I still remember the "design board" she put together; this culmination of your ideas in a visual medium that brought me so much excitement about what was to come. The whole design process is clear, the products and spacing is planned, and the setup and accessories are handled with meticulous position. The best compliment I could give Maureen is, I'll be hiring her for my next home too.

Maureen has unbelievable innate sense of style and design. Her design is bold, unconventional, and eclectic. We worked with her on a bed and breakfast project in downtown Austin called Adina. It was a multiple year project. Towards the end of the project, we were extremely tight on the budget. She magically found unique and quality furniture, artwork, and accessories at bargain prices. Also, we had multiple stakeholders in the project who had different opinions and preferences. She had enormous patience with us, diplomatically getting us on the same page with smile on her face at all time. Our place is quickly becoming a favorite spot for social influencers' photo shoots due to Maureen's bold colors and unique design. I am recommending her to all my friends.

Maureen has an amazing innate sense of design. We hired her to provide a vision for our small 7 room/suite Bed & Breakfast after reviewing her previous work on Houzz. With limited budget she was able to work hand and hand with us to create a masterful design that mixed old and new in this old 1904 house, and create a truly unique Austin experience. Although we were after a design with bold colors we had some apprehension after seeing her mood boards, but once the final product was unveiled it become quite evident she had an amazing vision. There were times when disagreement over some small elements occurred, but Maureen showed amazing patience and worked with us to come to either compromise or was strong enough to push for those items she felt very strongly about. We are so glad we listened to her as she truly created some amazing spaces. Our guests are loving Maureen's design; it sets us apart from all the cookie cutter hotels and other lodgings in town. I would highly recommend Maureen for any design work you require!

Maureen completed a gorgeous commercial design project for our company recently! Not only was the final result spectacular and matched my vision so well but the process of working with Maureen was a pleasure. Maureen did an amazing job designing our home! Here in Texas, in a world of farmhouse/shiplap obsessed designers, we were looking for a unicorn. After talking with several other designers we decided to go with Maureen. We explained our love of the 1800s but yet with a modern/Hollywood regency twist (and my love of bold colors). She did a great job of sourcing items we really loved and completely understood our style. Maureen lives in Louisiana and we worked with her remotely. We were nervous about that arrangement but her communication was great, and the distance was a total non-issue. We look forward to working with her again in the future. Maureen is amazing!!! Although not a large job, she made me feel like it was just as important as one. Maureen knows her line of work very well. I was very excited at the ideas she gave me and can't wait to implement them. While giving me ideas, she also took the time to give me little decorating tips that I could implement for any project I started on. So extremely happy I came across Maureen and can't wait for future ideas and projects!

Maureen helped us renovate 2 bathrooms, and my daughter's room. Her style is impeccable. She quickly grasped the style we had in mind, and exceeded our expectations with her creativity. She is very fun to work with, and communicated in a timely manner. We appreciated the budget and style options she gave us for each element, and design software she uses to keep everything organized. The rooms turned out so gorgeous, and they are the favorite rooms in the house now. They elicit oooh and ahhhs when guests visit.. We want to redesign our whole house now! I love Maureen! She is a lot of fun and has a great energy. She listened when I said I wanted to change about my space and quickly helped me get there. Now I use it so much more and I feel so happy when I'm at home. I am proud for people to come over and see my beautiful house! I appreciated how responsive Maureen was to my many emails and questions throughout the process and the various programs she used to keep us organized, from keeping track of her time to keeping track of the furniture and decor we were considering. I loved her creativity in envisioning a fun and beautiful space, and her skill at finding truly unique pieces that fit my style and were within my budget. I've worked with other decorators before who just want me to decorate my house how they would decorate theirs, and then spend a ton of money in the process. Unlike them, Maureen wanted my house to reflect ME and my desires, and understood good taste doesn't always mean expensive taste! I'll use her again sometime soon.

Maureen helped design the living area in the home we are building. Her ideas inspired our colors, cabinets and fireplace surround. She is a good listener and has a great eye for colors.

Maureen helped us design our downstairs open living area (kitchen, dining, living room, entryway). We are really pleased with the final product, it's a relaxing, clean space. This was our first time using a designer, so there were some bumps along the way, but the way it turned out was totally worth it! She has a really great aesthetic and was flexible with us when we changed our mind a few times (perils of being first timers!). We would definitely use her again in the future and recommend her to friends.

Maureen helped us with a remodeling project when we converted part of our master bedroom into a second living space. I was having a hard time imagining the furniture placement and she laid it all out, including what size pieces to be on the lookout for. She got our aesthetic instantly and was able to find some accessories to complete the look for us. It is still my favorite room in the house!

I have been working with Maureen for almost five months now. I sought out her assistance to complete a dining area, living area, breakfast space, master bathroom, and home office. What really sets her apart from other designers I have used in the past is her communication. She is very professional and always communicates in a timely manner, even when she has a million other things on her plate. I loved working with Maureen! She is very fun and easy to work with. She provides a great level of service throughout your experience with her. I used Maureen's 'Design in a Dash' service. Maureen was very helpful in consulting about the styling of my home and helping me to come up with a wonderful, cohesive and current design plan that includes many of my existing pieces and also suggestions for some new additions. Me and my wife had just purchased our home, and since it was older, needed help with a fundamental dilemma: What colors should we have for our ceiling, trim, doors, master bedroom, office, and remainder of our home? It may sound very easy, but it wasn't. Before we retained Maureen, we had been scouring Lowes, Sherwin Williams, etc. for days trying to find the right colors -- but there are 15 shades of each one! On top of that, we were on a tight deadline to have the colors selected for our painter. We sought out Maureen to help with this task and she was fantastic. Besides her talent, she was easy to work with, a good listener, and understanding. After consulting with us about our taste and inspecting the home, Maureen picked out perfect colors for our space. As we continue to work on our home in the future, we will certainly continue to use Maureen to assist.

Working with Maureen was A+ - she took into consideration our ideal style and a few favorite, existing pieces and did an amazing job designing, sourcing and pulling together four rooms in our new house. She not only helped us source great pieces we love, but she was budget conscious, efficient, fun to work with, and saved us time (+ in several cases, saved us money). I've provided renderings for a number of Maureen's projects, and I'm always in awe over her design aesthetic. She has a refined eye for detail, and sophisticated approach to each space. I always look forward to creating drawings for her to better explain her vision to her clients. Maureen specifically helped me finish out my living room/dining area and master bedroom in my newly-built condo in South Austin. Maureen has a great eye, trustworthy confidence, and a definite understanding of her clients' style and budget. She continued to surprise me by finding the perfect pieces that were just "so me." She found the perfect wallpaper for the living room, and she picked out the most unique media console that I absolutely love. She also added much-needed character to the living space with geometric rugs and beautiful white window treatments. I learned a lot working with her. As an added bonus, I get tons of compliments and "wows" when people walk in and see Maureen's work. I would recommend her here and to any of my friends in a heartbeat.

I cannot say enough great things about Maureen! We have been working together for the past couple of months to make my first condo feel like a home. She is super receptive and intuitive of my needs and style. She responds to my million emails right away and always works with me to find options that fit my style and budget. Working with Maureen was so fun! She really goes out of her way to learn you style and preferences and works collaboratively with you to get the results you want. There were times when we disagreed on certain pieces, etc., and she was able to explain to me why she felt the way she did but was understanding when I made selections/choices different from what she would have done... she really worked WITH me, which was what I was looking for in an interior designer.

I've known Maureen before she became a designer and I was hesitant to hire her for my kitchen remodel not because I do not believe in her talent but because I was worried it may ruin our friendship. As a client, I can be very opinionated (and yet very indecisive) and stubborn. But Maureen is an expert in guiding you to make the right decisions without compromising the original vision. She understands the perfect balance between aesthetic and functionality. She is very well connected with various vendors who have a wide range of price points. Maureen takes a leadership role in coordinating with the contractor and all the other suppliers. Although we live in two different cities (I'm in Chicago), Maureen is always available for any questions or concerns. I can't say enough about how overjoyed I am with how smoothly the whole process was and how beautiful my kitchen turned out. We have had a fabulous experience working with Maureen on our home design projects. One major plus that I noticed right away was the communication process -- Maureen is fast to respond, friendly and personal -- whether it's quick questions over email or long brainstorms in our living room. And the design experience has been equally great - all of her ideas are spot-on - from big items and decisions to the tiny touches - we can tell we're really being listened to and she is helping turn our current style up a notch. She's been a true collaborator from beginning to end -- her expertise, creative eye and encouragement is invaluable!

It is my pleasure to share my experiences as an Artist working alongside Maureen on a recent design project. Maureen and I (along with input from her client) spoke of the design objectives and about the reasons for such a painting...which were to capture memories of her client's international travels. Photos from the trip plus fabric samples, paint chips and other design elements were shared in order for myself to fully appreciate the design objectives. Maureen provided professional, well-thought out and personal attention to her client's wishes. It was a delight to contribute on such a personal level and to able to contribute to Maureen's vision for her clients.

Maureen is such a special talent! We hired her to design two rooms and loved her so much she is now designing the entire house. We’ve never worked with a designer before and had a hard time articulating our preferences. After our first meeting with Maureen, she was able to pull together design boards that we loved. We told her at the beginning of the process that we wanted to step out of our neutral comfort zone and she has held us to it. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Another plus is she has an endless supply of patience for all of my questions :) The online tools she utilizes are extremely easy to use – We have a floor plan and a design board (with voting capability) for every room. I love how she ties the entire design together from room-to-room, but not in an obvious way. She continues to blow me away with design vision and not to mention her great finds. Needless to say, I highly recommend working with Maureen and would be happy to provide more details if you have any questions!

Maureen was great throughout the entire project. She helped us update furniture and styling in our living room, bedroom, and dining room. My wife are always very busy and Maureen stayed patient with us throughout the entire project. She worked hard to stick to our original budget while making sure we didn't forget about product quality. Maureen's cost was far outweighed by the value she provided on the project.

I only have positive things to say about my time working with Maureen. She's a fabulous designer and I have already recommended her to friends and coworkers. A little background - I am a first-time home buyer and this was my first experience working with a designer. Maureen was incredibly patient in walking me through the whole process, and the design website she uses made everything organized and easy to follow. She explained everything very clearly and was direct and easy to work with. And perhaps the most important thing - I trust her. I've come to value her advice and her contractor recommendations - she is very up front about prices and options. Through this whole process, I've come to value her decorative eye but also her capacity to juggle purchases and money payments responsibly. Her use of purchase orders makes everything stream-lined and easy to follow. Additionally, Maureen has a unique talent for being able to understand a client's personality and lifestyle, and to build a design plan accordingly. I realize now that she was mentally taking notes each time she visited my place regarding my life-style habits. For example, I frequently use my laptop while sitting on the couch. She recommended a 'multi-functional side table' for me to use as a computer stand. I use it all the time! Also, she made key recommendations regarding how often she anticipated I would be using a particular space. We used less expensive pieces for the less-utilized areas. Another great advantage of working with Maureen - she makes your life so much easier. She would supervise contractors (painters, curtain and blind companies) so that I wouldn't have to take time off of work. It was so exciting to come home after work and appreciate the new decor! Finally, as you can tell from the photos, Maureen is a fabulous designer. She's taught me how to only choose pieces that you fall in love with. Additionally, she constantly has the big design picture in mind (the vision) and doesn't waiver throughout the whole process. I love the furniture and design pieces I have - they are unique, and structurally beautiful, and I know I will keep them for a long time. Maureen is a fantastic decorator! She recently selected furniture and accessories for a new 2 bedroom home in East Austin. Maureen, did an execellent job on corroborating and teasing out what I liked and disliked in my master bedroom remodel. I had proposed several different ideas and she did a great job in ensuring I didnt go off the reservation in ideas that didn't make sense. I also enjoyed seeing her proposed ideas on her design board.

Maureen helped me with my renovation design options and then with refurnishing. I would have been lost without her! She was able to take all of my random ideas and likes/dislikes and bring it all together. Her follow-up, follow-through, and overall responsiveness was impressive! Maureen designed my home office and did an excellent job. She has great taste and was focused on staying within my limited budget. Her lighting choice completely changed the look of the room. She was also willing to repurpose items from other parts of my house and work around the Eames chair (that just had to be in the room!). Maureen is fun to work with and stays abreast of the latest design trends. She also listens to what you want rather than telling you what she likes.
