MAWR Design

This is the second time I have worked with MAWR on a project; the first time being in 2010. The very fact that I have contacted them a second time is concrete confirmation that my experience with them has been of the highest quality from both an integrity and product/service perspective.

Whittney was a tremendous asset on our remodeling project. She offered unique, yet practical ideas that transformed an 'outdated' house into our Family's home. She is talented, professional, accessible (answers calls/texts quickly) and consistently delivers on her promises.

Entire interior design and furnishing of 8,000 sq. ft home. Excellent artistic rendering and delivery of the design "we" wanted, not the designer. Being budget concious, we prioritized and staggered the phases of the project. The custom furnishings and materials were all with consideration of durability of "real" family living in a comfortable welcoming environment for entertaining guests also. We continuously receive complements from guests on the overall design and interior has been featured in numerous articles. We have increased the overall market value of the home considerably by utilizing Mawr's professional design.

We worked with Whittney to design a play cafe, a completely new concept to our city. We asked her to design a space that allowed for free-play for kids but at the same time felt cozy and inviting for parents...plus a cafe! What she designed is incredible and we loved working with her from start to finish. We are a start-up and she was very generous with her time and worked within our budget every step of the way. She explained every drawing, every piece of material and textile, every architectural feature, everything that was happening during the buildout ...we asked all the questions we possibly could (she is patient) and her responses were always knowledgable, confident, and she was always right! Whittney was our advocate always, and worked very closely with our contractor to be sure they were following the design. She recommended sub-contractors and was able to decrease our build-out budget significantly. We have been open for 6 months as of June 2015 and our guests (children and parents) use our space as we had envisioned them doing so, which says a lot for a new design concept. Whittney is still involved in our space and donated her time to update our chalkboard wall. Yes, she is an illustrator as well! As a cost conscience small business owner, our design investment with Mawr Design is something worth every penny. Not a week goes by that a guest does not ask who designed the space or ask about some design element in our space.
