When I first spoke to Maelisa Coombs, I knew she was the right person to this relatively small job. She, and her colleagues, Christine and Lauren turned my bathroom and bedroom into a beautiful sanctuary. All I told them was I love the beach and they transformed these two rooms into the most beautiful place I could imagine! These three women gave me more than I ever dreamed...an oasis... calming colours ... Beautiful furniture and kindness. Kindness might not come into play choosing a decorator but, their unwavering support during this project almost makes me wish I had more rooms for them to do!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! I will never forget how much they've done for me. Thank you.

I would recommend Maelisa and Dee to anyone. Took my nondescript condo and made it a home warm and snuggly which is what I wanted to achieve. Opened my thinking from bland to unique color schemes and patterns I would have never even thought of much less looked for. Maelisa was able to come in and understand what I like from asking a few simple questions. I think she understood my vision before I understood it myself and supplied me with a ton of options to create my dream condo, one option better than the other. I relied on her expert opinion with regard to everything from wall paint to wall decor, and I’m so happy that I did. I don’t think that a space has ever represented “me” as well as the one she created.

Maelisa is a fantastic listener with a gift to take what your saying into tangible steps towards making your space come alive. She has great instinct with color selection and try’s hard to work within your budget. She helped me pick colors for the various rooms within my condo. We talked furniture placement and how to update my kitchen with a new back splash. She had great ideas on who to use for the various projects. I loved working with her!!

I chose to work with MCID because they offer a Restore and Refresh package. My space was cluttered and disorganized with many pieces that did not work together in the same room. I wanted my space to feel relaxing and peaceful with a cultural vibe that represents where I live. The initial consultation provided me with the opportunity to share what I wanted and to understand what needed to be done to achieve my design goals. MCID helped me to keep what worked for my vision and "divorce" existing pieces that did not fit with the new palate for my space. The personal shopping experience was a bonus. MCID gave me the confidence to select items that I liked and showed me how they worked with the vision I had for my space. During the actual design phase, MCID gave me options on where to place furniture, artwork, and accessories. Together, we created a warm, peaceful, and inviting cultural space that is everything I envisioned. Care is taken to understand the vision for your space, respect the pieces you want to keep, and your taste during the personal shopping experience. Although MCID did all the work, I was involved in every step of the process. It felt like I was doing all the designing! The experience was exciting from start to finish.
