This review is from purchase of custom live edge outdoor table in 2015 so is way overdue, but also gives us the benefit of the last few years of continued experience from George and not just single transaction. The craftsmanship from his shop is just beautiful, and they pride themselves on the highest quality final products and excellent customer service. Their delivery was seamless (even with our busy schedule) and they have been incredibly responsive when addressing the final details to make everything just right. Their maintenance program has been so convenient and we trust them to handle our property at a white glove level.

We recently remodeled our home and have been looking for a custom live edge dining table. George at Menlo Hardwoods was professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with from start to finish. He helped with the whole process of choosing the perfect slab, legs and finish. The result is a beautiful 10 foot, live edge solid oak work of art. George and the team at Menlo Hardwoods did a fantastic job on our fireplace mantel. We met with George at the start of the project and were in touch with him a few times prior to delivery and found him very knowledgable and helpful in guiding us in choosing the wood and finish to use, and keeping us informed on delivery time. A visit to the showroom will show you the beautiful things they do with wood here. Large, sturdy tables of all sorts abound. We picked a California Cypress because it was narrow and straight like our space. It's 14' long, and 34-36" wide (width varies with the tree). Bookmatched slabs with a natural edge makes for a real stunner when you walk in the room. The coolest part is the edge, where they left the beetle tracks as some sort of natural hieroglyphic detail. Lead time was not short (4 months or so?) but they were within a week of their estimated completion time. Delivery was on time and simple. Can't wait to have a dozen or two people over to try it out!

After looking at furniture stores in Menlo Park for a dining room table, we happened upon Menlo Hardwoods. We had never been to the store before. George was very welcoming. We immediately found the most stunningly beautiful madrone slab for our dining room table. The size was perfect. George and his staff were great to work with. The delivery and entire experience were seamless. We highly recommend Menlo Hardwoods. It is a wonderful alternative to traditional furniture stores.

I absolutely love my beautiful live edge table. I got so much compliments on it. It is definitely the center-piece of my homestead now; and kicks up the aesthetics of my home by ten-fold. The customer service at Menlo Hardwoods from owners, Mike and George, are top notch. They took a lot pride in their work and products; and it shows!

I had been looking quite awhile for a live edge dinning tableI when I walked into a friends house and saw exactly what I was looking for. They had their table made by Menlo Hardwoods and highly recommended them to me. The moment I walked into the shop and met George I knew I was in the right place to have my table made. He was warm, patient, informative and a pleasure to speak with. Upon my initial visit they did not have a table that was right for me but all those they had were works of art. I went every few weeks for a few months to see all their new tables coming in and nothing was quite right for my space. I was determined that Menlo Hardwoods was going to make a table for me no matter how long it took to find. George suggested that I might go to their plant in Modesto and look at raw slabs, believing I would find what I was looking for. He'd arranged for slabs to be pulled for my viewing based on my criteria. I met Mike there , who makes the tables, and he too was very patient and helpful because it took some time for me to find what I wanted. The slab I selected had to be slowly dried before they could begin to make the table and that would take months. That did not deter me because I was so certain that what I would end up with would be a beautiful piece of art that would be my dinning table. It took much longer to get than I had anticipated but it was well worth the wait. My table is so beautiful and brings such joy to my family when we sit at it. My granddaughter named her Beauty because she said it is so beautiful. If you are looking for a live edge table at a place with exceptional workmanship, great service, and lovely people to do business with, Menlo Hardwoods is the place to go.
