I spend my summers in Lexington, KY and finally bought a house last year. Due to a busy travel and work schedule, I sought out someone to help design and furnish my house. After some research, I found Jennifer Higgins, proprietor of Metamorphosis Studios. I have never undertaken a project like this and to say that Jennifer made the experience and process seamless and enjoyable, would be an understatement. Her websites Portal made picking appropriate pieces for each space effortless; even from out of state. From area rugs to custom furniture pieces and from art to accessories, every single detail was paid attention to. She helped us outfit our kitchen perfectly and even helped with major appliance ordering and entertainment system set up. We truly could not have done it without her and would not even think of undertaking another project without her guidance and expertise. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to work with her!

We worked with Jennifer on the recent renovation of the main level of our home and we could not have been more pleased! Jennifer was friendly, professional, and always prepared. While she did not GC our project, it was helpful to have an interior designer who is also a general contractor that could communicate with our other sub contractors and recognize and head off potential issues. Not only did she make the process seamless, we love the final product. We have young kids and Jennifer listened to all of our concerns about durability and performance fabrics. She helped us bring loved but dated pieces of furniture back to life. She improved the flow of our home and rooms that were used occassionally are now used daily. The result is a beautiful home that is comfortable for our family. I highly recommend working with Jennifer at Metamorphosis Studios.

I contacted Jennifer to help me create a combination guest room, office, workout space after we moved into a smaller home. I'm thrilled with the result. She was easy to work and welcomed my ideas. The result is a beautiful, functional space that I enjoy every day.

So grateful to have found Jennifer! She was exactly what we needed to feel better about starting a project. We have a small bungalow with one bathroom and wanted to add a bathroom to the laundry room. We have no experience with renovations and the contractors we spoke to were not giving us enough information to feel secure about starting. I wanted something drawn up to have a visual and apparently that’s not a given. So I found Jennifer on Houzz and she had great reviews and appeared to work with a wide variety of budgets. She was very attentive to our budget and tastes and created two excellent options in a couple of days! We discussed what we did and didn’t like about what she came up with and she took those notes and created a PERFECT plan!!! She gave us samples for colors that would be cohesive with what we already had and now I can turn around and give these plans to a contractor and feel secure I won’t end up throwing good money after bad. She also offers help along the way with the project if we run into any concerns. Now we are eager and ready to move forward. I highly recommend Jennifer!!! She’s professional and personable and never forgets she’s working for YOU!!!

We worked with Jennifer as we built a new townhome and downsized from a large 4 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom home. She helped us design and decorate an open concept living and kitchen area and choose colors that worked beautifully. Jennifer also helped us choose which furniture pieces to keep and how to use them as we downsized and moved. Although we did purchase some new items for our home she also showed us how to use the things we treasured and blend them together.We were always amazed at how she grouped items and made them appealing and pleasant. Jennifer was always patient and even went shopping with us as we looked for things we loved. When we were stuck on ideas she provided us with examples to guide us. We can honestly say that without her our new townhome would be a mess but, it is beautiful and classic. Perhaps one of her greatest strengths is getting to know you and guiding you as you develop your style. What a great experience it was to work with Jennifer and we will call her again as we start to decorate our outside areas!

Jennifer has been an exceptional professional to work with. I sought Jennifer's help to decorate my counseling and development practice for women. I wanted True North to be a space that would immediately make women feel peaceful, comfortable, and taken care of as they go through the process of healing and thriving. Jennifer listened carefully to my preferences and dislikes and blew my original ideas out of the ballpark, while working within a budget and timeline I believed would be too small to do the job. In addition to creatively decorating the entire space, she brought her artist's eye and heart to the project with a mural, which she personally designed and hand-painted, to welcome clients to this beautiful and functional space. Jennifer magically made my dream and vision for this center come to life where there were just walls before. I'm grateful to have had the chance to work with her. In the past, when I've tried to decorate office space for myself, it has been time-consuming, anxiety-provoking, and exhausting. Jennifer is kind, nonjudgmental, supportive, smart, efficient, easy to talk to, and responsive to texts, calls, and email. (Seriously. All of these things!) I needed a lot of hand-holding during this process. It was so nice to be able to trust her judgment and ability. With Jennifer, this process has been exciting and actually fun! She's truly a gem, both personally and professionally. I rely on other experts, such as my dentist, my doctor and my accountant. Now I'm elated to have Jennifer Higgins as my interior designer! Jennifer Higgins was recommended to me through a mutual friend when I expressed my intention to remodel my beauty salon in Lexington, KY. The salon was quite dated and I knew it was time for change. Jennifer did an amazing job in designing my living room. She helped us choose and purchase arts to decorate two big shelves. She is very creative and is willing to listen to us about our needs and what we like. She is also very sensitive to our budget. We are very pleased about her work! Jennifer is an amazing artist with a gift for transforming an area with changes that seem to make the space what it was always meant to be. We have worked with her on several projects, and she does a fantastic job of listening to our desires, brainstorming with us, and then coming up with ideas that we can hash over together until we have the perfect solution. On our first project, she transformed our children’s bedrooms into dream rooms for kids! On our last project, she was instrumental in the remodel of the bathrooms, laundry and downstairs area in a 100+ year old home. In the last case, we were under a tight timeline and decisions had to be made quickly and regularly. We could not have done it without Jennifer’s calm guidance and attention to detail. Jennifer is very talented and dedicated, but is also an absolute delight to work with! In the past I have found remodeling to be very stressful, but with Jennifer in our corner and at our side, it has become a pleasure! I worked with Jennifer Higgins from Metamorphosis Studios in 2016-2017. Her availability, creativity, focus, and excitement were invaluable while building a house for the first time. She developed a color scheme that satisfies both my husband and me. She designed furniture and built ins to maximize space in funky areas. She was there every step of the way picking out tile, lighting, mirrors, hardwood colors, and furniture. Her energy and positive attitude are never ending and exactly what you need to pull you through a house project. Several months after moving into the house and slowly settling in, I am so proud of every piece. The flow is effortless and the look and vibe are exactly "me" and how I wanted it to feel. I wasn't sure how to get there and Jennifer guided me every step of the way.
