We worked with Mimi & Hill to reimagine our living room space in our newly purchased home. The space was originally plain and cold, but they designed a cozy, warm space for our family that has become the center of our home. The team is professional, communicates beautifully and kept our project on track and on budget. We are now working on our next project together and looking forward to what they will do!!!

After buying an older home, I came to them with my kitchen renovation project which included changing the space to include a dining area. We also wanted to get as much as possible done before we moved in. They were able to move quickly (over the Christmas holidays!) and get an amazing design ready for us that we love. I think I’m pretty picky and they were able to figure out my taste perfectly after I sent them a few pinterest photos! All of their choices have been spot on, we now have our dream kitchen, and Mimi and Hill were able to configure a narrow previously unused space perfectly to turn it into a dining nook. As I really liked the work done on my kitchen, I signed on to do a second project with Mimi & Hill - a full bathroom renovation. That project unfortunately did not work out at all, so I cut ties with the firm after not being able to get answers I needed as the bathroom was being framed and some commentary from the M&H team that I found offensive. After paying my design fees I was left with a bathroom concept/design that I needed to implement on my own, which was challenging but doable and gave me the flexibility to make some changes along the way. Everything worked out in the end and I'm happy with the finished design. While I was disappointed in their service - they really know what they are doing from a design standpoint, and I came away from the experience learning a lot and are thankful for their insights and expertise.

My husband and I had recently bought and renovated our "forever" home and wanted our home to feel complete and provide great spaces for our kids and to entertain family and friends. We called Mimi and Hill and had a wonderful experience working with them on our den, living room and kitchen. After living with our new spaces for a few months, we just knew we had to have them back to bring their beautiful design aesthetic to our dining room and master bedroom, plus a sunroom that now functions as my much needed and now much used work from home office. I can't say enough how much we loved working with them. Their designs are simply beautiful and beyond that, Miriam and Hillary are fantastic to work with - they really listen to clients so that the design fully works for the function of each space. Mimi and Hill did such an incredible job transforming my entire first floor. When I was struggling to redo our lake house, I KNEW they could handle the job. 200 miles away, during a pandemic, they figured it out!! Working with Miriam and a Hillary is ALWAYS easy and they see a space differently and much more functional for a family. Now I need to find more rooms for them to makeover....

Working with Miriam and Hillary and their team was a pleasure from start to finish. We had just renovated an older house and we wanted to create a final, beautifully designed home for our whole family to enjoy and for us to entertain in. They spent the time to get to know our family and our needs and totally "got" us and what we wanted. The final product was more than we could have hoped for. I seriously cannot say enough about how wonderful Mimi & Hill were to work with and how absolutely thrilled I am with how their designs for my beach home turned out! Miriam, Hillary, Shannon, Sandra and team were all great! I really felt they “got me” and at the same time pushed me in the right way to consider new things I might not have looked at on my own. They were able to pull together a great mix of high, medium and low pricing on various pieces to have impact and stay in my budget. We wanted an update - to refresh our living room, foyer and dining room - and Miriam and Hillary delivered! Our colors and furniture were very traditional and did not reflect our personality as a family. Miriam and Hillary brightened up both rooms and entryway with fresh colors, furniture, textures, artwork, and, accessories. The final result blew away our expectations! Mimi and Hill did design/decorator work on the interiors and the exterior pool areas for a project my company did on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. They were a delight to work with and showed a command of the various aspects of this work. I would characterize their work as sensitive and elegant in an understated way. Their color palate brought a much needed updating to the villa and their choices for linens, tiles, lighting and mirrors all worked to create a calm, sophisticated interior to which one could retreat from the heat and vibrancy of the Caribbean outside. Decisions Interiors had the pleasure of working with Mimi & Hill on the renovation of a villa on St John in the US Virgin Islands where we have our interior design business. It is not very often we have the opportunity to work with other designers, which we enjoyed very much. It was wonderful to see the creative process of Mimi and Hill come together for this lovely villa. Two aspects of the design that stand out for us is the wonderful layering of colors, shades and textures and the unique blend of the fun and functional pieces selected for the villa.

Mimi & Hill helped transform our master bedroom and bath into a very functional space in our home. I didn't know where to start and Mimi & Hill were just what I needed. They listened to both my and my husband's style and personality and were able to make sure we both felt like the bedroom was ours; not too masculine and not too feminine but a good balance of both. The MIMI & HILL Design team has been working on three of my properties for the past two years. Their ability to design a space based on the client’s needs is second to none. When we made the choice to hire Miriam and Hillary we told them “THIS IS YOUR HOME WHILE YOU’RE DESIGNING IT… I JUST GET TO ENJOY IT”. They have managed to find quality contractors, supplies and arrange all the shipping logistics to get furniture from the states to the island property. The project is on time and will be ready for renters to enjoy their holiday vacation. Everyone that walks into our home says Holy S#+@! I’ve learned that there is a wait list just to be able to get a consultation with Mimi and Hill, well worth the wait!
