Thrilled with the design services provided by the Mira Jean team. Working with Kate and Julie to redesign our home office from a mancave to gorgeous workspace for two was easy from day one. The presentation of options, incorporation of his and hers requirements and preferences, as well as their top quality tradespeople has me looking for my next design project! We can't wait to work with the Mira Jean team again.

I can’t say enough great things about Jessica and Kate at Mira Jean! They did an amazing job of figuring out what I wanted for our attic guest room and patiently answered any questions I had. When our first wallpaper choice came back with an absurd price quote - they pivoted and came back with an even better and cost-effective option! The end result is just lovely. I am looking for more projects so I can work with them again.

Mira Jean Designs was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They helped us decorate several rooms in our home and we are thrilled with the results. Kate and Jessica were incredibly easy to work with, responsive, timely with outputs, and great at working within a set budget while still ensuring we got a high quality look and pieces. In addition to design and furniture, we did a small built-in shelving and entry way project. The craftsmanship of the team they use is incredible and everyone says it looks like it was always there. We would highly recommend working with the MJD team for whatever size project.

I simply cannot say enough good words about Kate and Jessica! We bought a DC house that was pretty much all white walls with gray accents. Our realtor wisely recommended them, and they helped us transform our home from top to bottom with a great mix of the many colors (e.g., teal, rust, lilac, blue, orange) that we love. Left to our own devices, for example, we would never have thought to put yellow wallpaper featuring blue birds in a second-level sunroom that looks out onto a giant tree, but we love it and visitors comment that the room has a lovely treehouse vibe. They were patient with us as we circled through options, coming back with new choices that showed they really HEARD us. Best of all, they are friendly, smart, and resourceful in finding great products and installers, which made the entire process less stressful and more fun than one might think. We came home from vacation and our home was transformed!

Kate met us where we were at in life, which I couldn't have appreciated more, and is part of the reason we decided to work with her and her Mira Jean Designs team on a refresh project for our living room and dining room. We just moved into a single family home as first time homeowners with a toddler and Kate and Julie listened to what are needs were for a toddler friendly design while helping us scope a reasonable budget for the project (i.e., where to splurge vs where to save). They also took note of our family's personality, working in colors and fabrics that reflected us. Our refreshed living room and dining room (where we spend most of our time) is now colorful and fun, in addition to being functional for our lifestyle. We love the end product and highly recommend Mira Jean Designs. We look forward to being repeat customers!

I cannot recommend Kate and Mira Jean Designs enough. Kate took on a massive project with us when we renovated our home, and we could not be happier with the results. She provided insight on details big and small—from furniture to fixtures and finishes—and even worked with our architect and contractor to make sure everything was just right. Kate really listened to what we wanted, came up with a theme for the design, and brought everything we wanted to fruition. I have recommended her to friends and neighbors and will continue to sing her praises. She was always a pleasure to work with (even when I wasn’t), and I promise you will be thrilled with the results of her work!

Kate and her team really listen. They crafted my design project around my style, my budget and my timeline. They do more work than many design firms to create a unique and individual result based on the client’s needs.

Working with Kate and her MJD team over the past 18+ months on our long distance whole home renovation and interior design project has been a dream. You could not ask for a more collaborative, pleasant, and creative group of people to help you with your design projects. As an artist and small business owner, this work is very personal for Kate and she really wants to create a unique design to each client's taste. Even though we re-located 7 hours from the DC area, I knew I wanted to work with her again (she helped me with several spaces in my Arlington home) instead of trying to find and build rapport with a designer in my new city. If you're looking for a creative, flexible, drama-free, responsive designer...look no farther! I'm delighted that so much of Kate is reflected in our home from her artwork to her custom textiles to her gorgeous wallpapers.

We worked with Kate and the MJD team upon moving into our new home and before we welcomed our first child just a few months later! The MJD team completely reimagined and transformed a dining/living space off of our kitchen (complete with new built-ins, mantel, window treatments, furnishings, etc.) and crafted a design guide for our primary bedroom that we used to bring their vision to life at our own pace. The entire MJD team was a joy to work with and we're so happy with the final outcome! We appreciated their swift execution on the design presentations, seamless implementation, excellent communication from start to finish, and unwavering commitment to nail every detail. Highly recommend!

MiraJeanDesigns made my dream condo happen! I cannot speak highly enough of the fabulous job that Kate and her team at Mira Jean Designs did on my place! While I could go on for paragraphs, the key highlights are: 1) she and her team are highly personable to work with, professional, and they LISTEN to what you are looking for; 2) they stay WITHIN BUDGET and ON TIME for my project needs - and if anything I requested was going to take longer, they were open about that; and, 3) she works with other trusted tradesman and contractors and can be the "orchestra conductor" of the whole project. For me, this last point was a HUGE benefit and tremendously valuable. Details below. *Context:* I was moving from Boston to DC and required a full renovation of a 2BR/1.5BA condo (including kitchen) but I could not physically be present to oversee the construction due to the demands of my job which required weekly travel. Kate (and team) were recommended to me by a colleague, and while I had never used an interior designer before, I knew that the complexity of a full renovation were too much for me to handle with my job, life, etc., so the price would be worth it - and boy was I right! *The Task:* I needed someone who could make recommendations on almost every aspect of my new home (paint, knobs, lighting, plus even some furniture, rugs...), who could work with a general contractor to do all of the demolition, carpentry, electrical, and remodel - AND to find someone who could do built-ins for what would become my new home office. It was a tall order. *Result:* The condo came out better than I ever imagined - and it was on time and on budget. Kate and her team were a dream to work with. I told her that I only wanted to see 2 or maybe 3 options max for everything and they nailed it. They were so organized and highly communicative, so I never felt like I didn't know what was going on. And they thought of things that never in a million years would I have ever thought about as part of the remodel - like the thing that goes between one floor type and another floor type, or towel bars! She coordinated with an amazing set of craftsmen to create a home that I absolutely love being in. Bottom line: I'd highly recommend working with Kate and her team!!
