My work experience as an interior designer is vast and varied. My passion for design has lead me down several surprising paths, which gave me opportunities to enhance construction design, style entertainment venues, craft residential properties, and re-imagine retail spaces. I specialize in refinishing and decorating luxury homes. I am grateful that the many winding roads of my design career have led me most recently to Houston. The vibrant economy and diversity of this great city continually inspires me to reach out and share my design philosophies with others. I believe there is an intimate connection between a home and a homeowner. A well-designed environment should go beyond just beautiful aesthetics. Successfully executed interior spaces must have the capacity to lift your spirits, improve your mood, and above all function. For this reason, I am always honored when a client entrusts me with their home. My goal is to develop healthy relationships with my clients in order to fully understand and create spaces that reflect their lifestyle needs and tastes. In order to maintain solid working relationships, I believe communication must be the cornerstone of project management. I am a firm believer in keeping clients updated about project progress, estimated times of completion, explanation of process, and keeping projects within budget. My clients’ happiness at all stages of projects, from initial consultation to completion, is of utmost importance to me and is what makes my job so rewarding. I am not satisfied until you are.

We are so thankful to have been referred to Missy by a friend of ours. She was amazing to work with. We had never used a professional interior designer before but knew we needed some assistance & guidance on our project as we wanted to update the entire house including a redesign of the primary closet & bath. She started by talking with us to understand our goals/vision, design tastes, budget, and timeframe. Her design concept was amazing! She captured our personal style in terms of both aesthetics and function perfectly. We are thrilled with the result. The whole house is beautiful. Each room has a warm welcoming vibe of casual beauty. We gained a ton of storage space in the remodel of the primary suite including a new linen closet in the primary bath, a huge walk-in shower, doubled storage space in our closet, and gained a 3rd floor laundry (in the primary closet.) If we ever move from our current home, we will absolutely use Missy again in our next house. Highly recommend her

Having moved to Houston from the NY area we had no idea where to begin. We found Missy on Houzz. She had so many wonderful reviews and we loved her aesthetic and style as shown so beautifully on her page and on her website. Missy was engaging and talented and so very personable. Missy did an amazing job with our condo! She is very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Our condo was completely empty and new, and we had worked with Missy through the construction phase, furniture and decor. She was able to make our vision come to life. I initially asked Missy for design services and after speaking with each other, she determined all I needed was a consultation appointment. Not only did she save me money, she helped me pick tile for three bathrooms, pendant lights for my kitchen, and gave me her contact for outdoor planter design. Hiring Missy Stewart as the interior decorator for our remodel was one of the best decisions we made. Missy was so helpful, pleasant, always available, down to earth and met with us many times. She gave us good advice from picking out tile, to floors, window treatments, appliances, and furnishings. Her designs are creative and clean. The kitchen and bar area in particular are outstanding.
