After a kitchen renovation we wanted all new furniture for our combined kitchen and family room. Mary helped us with paint, window treatments, rugs, new furniture and accessories. She was accessible, professional and her ideas were spot on. Every day I am in the space it makes me happy! I would absolutely work with Mary again.

I've worked with MJM for over four years on multiple projects. When we moved into our new house, I needed help integrating existing pieces, finding new ones, and setting a vision for my home. Since then, I've periodically upgraded other rooms and have always loved the results! Mary really listens to her clients and takes their ideas and style and elevates them to the next level. MJM Interiors recently helped me to completely redesign my first floor. The project included a total kitchen remodel with a new window, 6 foot island, beautiful bamboo cabinetry and gorgeous white quartz countertops. In addition, we redesigned a cozy new dining area with a large banquette, a new modern staircase, re-stained hardwood floors and added all new great room furniture. Mary at MJM Interiors is absolutely fabulous to work with! She helped me every step of the way from concept/layout to product selection and even helped with the final touches like wall art and area rugs. Mary has unique and creative ideas, timely follow-up, helpful staff and is very easy to work with. She is great about making sure things flow well throughout the house. I am always wowed by her ideas and her attention to detail. On more than one occasion, visitors to my home with comment on the unique photo wall or large statement banquette's or even the placement of the3 large canvas photos over the fireplace and say "what a great idea". She has also helped me decorate our home office, master bedroom, a teen bedroom and laundry room. I will use her again when we are ready to redo our master bathroom soon. We have worked with Mary for 15 years. She helped us decorate a new large home in Libertyville. Five years later she helped us remodel and downsize. This past year she helped us remodel and downsize to a condo. Mary loves her work and is enthusiastic. She has knowledge of building as well as remodeling and decorating. She works well with contractors and builders. Her expertise in design including furniture and fabrics and flooring is amazing. Working with custom cabinetry all the way to premanufactured she is amazing. Budget and taste of her clients is always respected. She always gets right to the project she is hired for. We have used her for three big projects and many small. We highly recommend her.

Mary came highly recommended from a friend and after working with her for several months and seeing the results of our Master Bedroom, Living room, Family room and Foyer I can see why! She is absolutely fantastic! She was able to take my vision and expand upon it in a way that made everything more beautiful than I ever thought it could be. Mary has exceptional taste, and is always on the cutting edge of the latest trends, or ready to support a more traditional design. She designed new bathrooms and a mudroom for my home, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I hired Mary as a decorator as we re-did our basement and our daughters' jack and jill bathroom. They both turned out fantastic. Although our basement was already finished, it was a total re-do. We re-did the kitchen, the bathroom, the fireplace and the stairs. My daughters' bathroom we re-did the shower and sink/counter space. She was able to give me great ideas to add to the function of the space. I am extremely busy and she would bring everything to my house for me to choose but always with her suggestions. We are now using her to re-do our kitchen as well as our master bath.

I moved into an old home that had been renovated by the previous owners. I wanted decorating help, but only could work on one space at a time, starting with the family room. I hired MJM interiors to help me furnish the room and stage a large wall full of shelves. The room turned out beautifully, and Mary was able to find the sectional I had been searching for for months. I appreciated Mary's thoughtfulness and her sensitivity to my budget. She was very open to working within my parameters. After the family room was complete, she helped me with some odds and ends around the house. She also most recently helped me re-do our guest room on a very limited budget. So far, we have worked on a low-budget update (guest room) and a complete re-do (family room) and I am thrilled with both!

AMAZING! That is the best word to describe MJM Interiors! Mary is creative, artistic, and always has a vision with the end product in mind. She worked with my husband and I from the infancy stages of our home renovation. She came to our first meetings with our architect while he was in the design stage and helped us arrange the layout of our house to be functional and beautiful. She has worked with us throughout the project helping us pick out light fixtures, hardware, cabinetry, paint colors, and anything else you can imagine! What I love about Mary is she gives her opinion about what will look best and she is always right on point! On top of that she is punctual, returns phone calls/texts/emails, and flexible with her schedule. This review isn't doing her justice....she is one of a kind! Mary Mausser and MJM have done an exceptional job over the past year in decorating and furnishing my home. Mary has worked with me on both contemporary and antique pieces and currently is assisting me with artwork. She also worked closely with my contractor on such items as a built-in desk, built-in dressers as well as outdoor pergola/deck. Mary and her team's work and service has been fantastic and they have went above and beyond to make my house a beautiful home.

We hired MJM Interiors to design and manage a significant renovation of our townhouse, taking a closed, dark, small lower level to an open, airy, relaxed concept with a particular focus on the kitchen for my husband who is a professional chef. Mary, the principal of the firm, quickly understood the vibe we were after. Her suggestions throughout the project were always "on concept," and when we didn't agree with certain suggestions, she was able to make other recommendations quickly. Mary is experienced, works very well with sometimes-tense clients (ahem!) and brings a strong sense of style. I will definitely work with her again and highly recommend her.

We remodeled our kitchen and redecorated our living room and dining room. Mary was involved from the beginning and I'm thankful that she was. We opened up the kitchen so that it is open to the living room, dining room and family room. The results with Mary's help are beautiful, and she worked so well with our General contractor. It all flows together and the kitchen is part of the living space. Mary is such a pleasure to work with. She listens and pays attention to the details. She wanted to understand how we were going to use the space and make sure the design worked for us. We recently purchased a condo that needs updating and decorating, and Mary will be doing all the work on this project too.

Mary is excellent. We bought an old house for our family of 7 and we needed help furnishing and accessorizing every room. She was able to use some of our old traditional pieces of furniture and place them to look like they fit in our "new" rustic style home. She listens well and makes selections that are practical for our busy family. She has a great eye for dimensions, color and style. She also designed and made selections for countertops, cabinets, and tile for our kitchen and 2 bathrooms that needed updating. The projects are in progress but so far everything looks great. She is a very good designer, easy to work with and has a nice demeanor.

Her special strengths are an overall vision of the projects, attending to the many details involved, finding skilled craftsmen, and supervision of the projects. MJM Interiors has planned and implemented a number of design projects for my homes. The most recent was the selection of materials and finishes for a bed/bath addition to my home in Lincoln, NE. In addition, MJM Interiors selected furnishings for the bedroom using a variety of commercial and specialty suppliers. The attention of the firm to color coordination throughout the addition was superior leading to a warm, homey and special place for my wife and me. The firm dealt successfully with a suppler of an area rug who was not able to acquire the particular fabric that we desired. They worked over time with that supplier to achieve a satisfactory solution and also negotiated a discount due to the delay caused by the supplier. This firm does an excellent job in space planning, finish selection, furnishings including lighting. They are also able to coordinate a variety of styles, in our case blending family antique pieces with new furnitures. They give you a whole product at prices that I see as fair.

Working with Mary is always a pleasure. She communicates her ideas in a way that the project runs smoothly. My client are always thrilled with her recommendations. She delivers information in a timely manner so we can finish the project on time

Mary was fantastic to work with! She was able to turn my very dated traditional loft into a beautiful contemporary space well within my budget. New kitchen cabinets were not in my budget and she was able to find a new countertop and backsplash that completely changed the look of my old kitchen that worked perfectly with the old cabinets! I have worked with MJM Interiors for several smaller decorating projects with great success. So we decided to use Mary for a complete redo of our kitchen. Her expertise and skill were just what we needed to create a kitchen that we love. She managed every detail with accuracy and worked with us to ensure we were able to get what we wanted while still meeting our budget. She was responsive, creative and very involved in every aspect of the project from finding contractors and getting quotes, to picking out even the smallest of details like the new faucet. We couldn't be more pleased with the process and the result.

Mary brought her expertise to a remodeling project for a single family residence located in Lincoln Park. Without the help and guidance of MJM Interiors, I am quite confident this project would have come to a complete standstill. She listened to the client the entire time, brought many creative ideas to the table and stood firm on many of her talented decisions. A few years ago, Mary designed my kitchen and 2 baths. I recently rehired her to update my floors, hallway, dining room and two bedrooms. She has an impeccable eye and is so accessible. She cares about her vision but is always sensitive to mine, as well.

Spatial management and scale is always important, especially when living in the city (due to space constraint). I had been toiling with the layout of my main room for a year, not finding the inspiration or 'the answer' from all the websites and showrooms I frequented. Finally I got smart, and called MJM Interiors. Mary came to my home and spent a lot of time asking me questions to understand my vision and style, and went to work finding pieces (tables, sofas, lamps) that matched the color scheme and flow I was looking for, while also being at the right scale. The final result was Mary finding gorgeous pieces, including a beautiful sectional sofa that I had custom made with fabric we selected, and re-working the main room and the master bdrm to improve flow. Mary also very kindly helped me chart out the rental furniture I was having delivered as I was hosting Thanksgiving for 20 in my 1250 sq ft condo! MJM helped me to re-design my kitchen in my condo. I had been in my place for 5 years and knew that I need to add some more storage. I was thinking about bumping out the wall in the hall closet to create a pantry. But when I called Mary at MJM Interiors, she had a better idea. She came over, reviewed with me what my needs were and then she got to designing. Since I also really wanted to keep an eat in part to the kitchen, Mary's design included that as well. She designed a L shape counter with an eat in area and more cabinet storage. She was able to match my existing cabinets and counter top. I love my kitchen! I have gotten many compliants on it when people are over.

I hired Mary to assist with decorating a new three bedroom condo. She has a great eye for design, personality and is extremely easy to work with. I'd highly recommend her for any project.

I hired Mary (MJM Interiors) to assist with an update of most rooms in my house, including the master bedroom, family room, living room, kitchen and office. Mary was extremely professional and responsive. She had me start by utilizing the Houzz website to assist her with looks or schemes that I liked. Once she had a better sense of what I was looking for, she was able to provide me with a number of different options at different price points, including looks I had never considered, that actually looked much better than anything I came up with. She was very patient with my questions/concerns, as well as creative with solutions that stayed well within my budget. Her attention to detail was exquisite and her responses to my large number of questions were timely and helpful. I was not looking forward to updating my house, but Mary made the process very easy and my house looks amazing. Everyone I have recommended MJM to has also been very satisfied. I would absolutely hire MJM again if I ever need additional design assistance.
