Molly Quinn Design

We really had no idea where to start with our decorating project. We had spent a couple of years focusing on renovating our house, so hadn’t done any significant decorating. Molly helped us focus on the most key areas and the items where she could provide most help. She helped us come up with a coherent design that fits with our 100-year-old house, but still feels modern and comfortable. We’ve already received a ton of compliments on our new sunroom/reading nook and the wallpaper she suggested for our dining room. She not only found pieces for us to order (and we could be picky since we didn’t really know what we wanted), but she also came back to check in on installation and deliveries.

Molly designed our kitchen and two full bathrooms. She was really creative within the small size limitations of the house that we down-sized to. Molly listened very carefully to our needs and helped guide us in all aspects of the designs with attention to both use and aesthetics. She narrowed down choices for me which otherwise would have been overwhelming. Molly was always prompt and kept the projects moving in a timely manner while working well with the general contractor. Her style is classic and clean.

Molly is wonderful and made our home look more beautiful than I could have imagined! She has a positive and energetic attitude and you can tell she loves what she does. She combines your style and needs with her expertise as to what would look good or work best. She works very efficiently and we were very pleased with the timelines of everything. We couldn't be happier and I have already started spreading the word!

I'd recommend calling Molly Quinn Design to consult on your design project! I emailed Molly Quinn Design via Houzz to get information on pricing for a color consultation. Molly called me personally the next day and worked to get in touch with me despite my busy schedule. I needed someone for the next weekend since our contractor required our color selection the following week (yes, I dragged my feet here!). Molly offered to meet me on a Sunday to meet my needs which I appreciated but we were traveling out of town and I couldn't make it work. I wish it had! I have admired Molly's work on Houzz for a year!

Molly did a superb job of helping us select pieces for several different areas of our home. She offered many options from which to choose, and she was always very conscious of the budget we communicated. She also kept us informed of the timing of the deliveries. We had an issue with the delivery of one item, but she took complete control of the situation and handled the issue quickly and thoroughly. We love the items that she selected for us!

Molly was wonderful to work with. She was recommended by a friend whose home I love. Molly helped me tame difficult spaces in an older home with space constraints. I had plenty of ideas but was not sure how to unify them into a coherent, flowing design. Molly really listened and never forced her own opinions. I always get compliments on my home (but I don't mention Molly!). I look forward to working with her again.

We hired Molly for an exterior paint consultation. But she did so much more. We decided to make a larger change on the exterior, and naturally that comes with some trepidation no matter how consulted one can be! Molly was exceptional. She was a very good listener, made a point to understand our needs, and took the time to find the right suggestions. She had an exceptional eye, and made recommendations based on our needs/wants, and also what would look good in our neighborhood. While we are still in mid-project (waiting on windows), but when it first started I had some last minute immediate questions. She was so accessible - she got back to me in a few minutes, I was able to txt her photos, and she responded immediately. I joked with her that she is also a counselor aside from her designer qualities. I highly recommend her services. She is a lovely person to work with.

Molly Quinn is a wonderful interior decorator. We recently moved into our house in River Forest and she helped us with the colors of paint in each room initially, then assisted with the set up of our house. She has a gift for arranging furniture and design! We have ordered furniture and pillows through Mrs. Quinn which we love. Everything we purchased was well thought out and worked perfectly for our home. Molly listens well and makes purchasing things for the home easy. She listens to what you need and then presents the different options in an organized fashion. We did not have time to shop around for furniture or fabric. Molly simplifies things which was perfect for our family. We love everything she has done for us and look forward to continuing to work with Molly Quinn.

Molly Quinn assisted our family in design aspects of our new construction home. Mrs. Quinn helped us in selecting, bathroom tile for 5 bathrooms, bathroom counters, kitchen counters, kitchen backsplash, hardwood floor color and type, paint colors for the entire house and decorative aspects (window treatments) once the home was built. We also called her whenever we had any design questions. We were extremely satisfied with the work that Mrs. Quinn provided for our family and plan to hire her again for more design projects in our home!

I can highly recommend Molly of mqdesign. She helped me transform a large toddler playroom to a beautiful teen-age hangout. An attentive listener, Molly brought wonderful choices to the table, all of which would have met my specifications. We changed the color of the walls, and her idea, which was questioned by the painter, turned out to be an amazing face-lift for the room. She made a very large room feel intimate through her innovative idea. In addition, we added window treatments, a rug, throw pillows, a pool table, among other things to make this a place my teenagers wanted to bring their friends. Work was completed in a timely, professional manner. Her attention to detail and to meeting my needs were outstanding. I have immensely enjoyed my new room., and have called her back to help with other projects. I highly recommend mqdesign for your interior decorating needs.

Molly is incredibly talented and easy to work with. I gave her a very short lead-time to complete a project. Not only did she meet the deadline, but made my dining room look better and more functional than I ever imagined it could. Molly Quinn was very responsive to our needs, offering just-in-time expert designer guidance that was very sensitive, even intuitive, to our preferences and needs. We had just moved into a new home in River Forest and needed to make some quick decisions on color schemes and design elements throughout the entire house (keep or remove certain areas of wallpaper, keep or change out light fixtures, cabinets, windows, etc). In some cases she gave us the confidence to move forward with ideas and materials we had already begun exploring, in other cases she guided us to a much better result than we would have found ourselves.
