National Design Mart

I recently shopped for and purchased Granite countertops for my kitchen at National Design Mart in Medina. I was assisted by Paul (Sensitive Information Hidden), and he was terrific to work with! The indoor slab display is wonderful and Paul was great in guiding me and very patient as I made my selection. I was quickly scheduled for measuring and then installation. Yesterday the installation was completed and I love my new counters! Everything was exactly as Paul explained it would be,and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend National Design Mart and especially Paul (Sensitive Information Hidden) as a Sales Associate!

We bought Manington flooring on the recommendation of the sales person at National Design Mart. In a matter 3 months it curled up on the edges and started peeling up all across each panel. Now the floor looks terrible in less than a year. It looks like it is 20 years old! They will do nothing to to repair or replace the flooring. DON'T BUY FROM NATIONAL DESIGN MART I will never buy anything from them again!

We got our kitchen countertop from here and i couldn’t be happier. Two years ago we got everything we needed for our bathroom and we love it that’s why we went back for the kitchen remodel.

My contractor suggested that we use National Design Mart to fabricate a stone fireplace. I purchased my own slab and paid in full for all services before it was installed (per their company policy). The area was not measured properly the first time so a second template was required. On the 3rd visit to my house I was told they could not install because one of the main side pieces of the fireplace stone was cut too small by their in-house fabricators. After they left to re-cut the piece, it was determined that they had disposed of the remainder of the slab that I had paid in full for and another piece could not be cut. 2 weeks passed and I was assured that they could complete the job with some trim and the existing pieces. They returned to my home for a 4th time and after much confusion by their team we were left with a lopsided fireplace. We paid $2,200 and one side of the fireplace is noticeably wider than the other. It is the focal point of our home. We were offered no solution and a very rude dismissive call from management.

Buyer beware!!! We sincerely regret doing business with this "professional" company. We can't undo what's been done but we can let people know what happened and hopefully help them avoid the headaches, sleepless nights, and thousands of dollars thrown down the drain! Our mistake: We trusted their "in-store experts" - if you decide to go with this company PLEASE do your research BEFORE signing anything! There's a reason why they can give better deals than their competitors. They make up the money elsewhere… What happened: We went to several different flooring companies and thought we liked National Design Mart best. They had a great sales woman and gave us the best offer. They sent a "professional" out to measure and take photos of our living room and gave us the price for installing our new carpet. They sent us the paperwork which included a drawing of our living room. It looked good to us and we trusted that the "professionals" knew best. When the installer came out (third party- PHENOMENAL guy) refused to install the carpet because of the seam location. The seam was placed almost directly on the walking path / high traffic area. The installer let us know that this was beyond bad and one of the biggest no no's in carpet install. He was at our home for over an hour waiting for National Design Mart to respond- thinking that they were going to make this right… They wouldn't return our calls and when they finally did all they said was that we signed off on it. They never once brought up seam placement. Never told us it was important. Never asked us where we wanted the seams placed. They said absolutely nothing about it. We didn't know it was important or that we had to ask them about it. We trusted that they were the experts and that they knew best. We tried to work with them to figure out a solution but they already had our money and that's clearly all they care about. They refused to send a new piece of carpet (its pre-cut) and had the installer put in what we signed/agreed to. We asked that they replace the carpet, or that they give us some money back, or that they simply guarantee the seam for the life of the carpet. Nope. Nada. Nothing. They did send a really nice spokesperson out to the house to chat with us but he wasn't allowed to give his opinion or make any decisions. Great guy but a smile and a friendly conversation doesn't help the fact that our carpet's life span was cut in half. They obviously know seam placement is important but if they can trick customers into putting it in high traffic areas then it's a win win for them. They save money on materials and they know the carpet will need replaced in half the time. If you’re an expert on flooring then you may have a good experience with this company but I highly recommend you go elsewhere. They are not trustworthy. They are not professionals. They do not care about their customers. They do not care about doing the right thing.

Angela is great to work with! The store was easy to work with. Great selection. They price matched the flooring we wanted! A little problem with the pick up but they resolved it immediately!

Granite countertop purchase and install. Installation had some issues, but management addressed my concerns and left me satisfied with project. Would recomend.

Purchased a quartzite countertop and backsplash for our kitchen. Our sales people Kimberly Holden, Annette Tuck and deigner Mary Stickney were all very helpful. I love the finished product. National Design Mart did the installation and we could not be more pleased.

Horrible experience! Waited over two weeks for a finalized quote. To many excuses why the quote wasn’t completed yet. Then when they sent the quote over they said their prices increased last week. “The Price is the Price”. Would not honor the pricing when we first met even after waiting 2 weeks for a quote. They had given us a timeline and really feel they increased price knowing we were moving forward with the project. I was warned by several people not to do business here while I was waiting on my quote. Very unprofessional!! Lastly, the girl in the cabinet department should get off her cell phone on personal calls and assist with clients questions when they’re looking at spending $10,000 on a bathroom vanity.

Fairly good finished project. We had to have someone come out to repair the original flooring installation. Still a few imperfections.

This is a great place to go to for ideas! They have everything from flooring to counter tops and more! There is a huge selection and you can take home samples to see how everything looks in your own home. We had good experiences working with the friendly and knowledgeable people there.

National Design Mart has an amazing selection and kind, knowledgeable staff and are more than willing to help. I like to browse the large showroom for inspiration on many different products.
