When we decided to turn our seasonal, seaside home into a full time residence, we needed a designer who could take our dreams and turn them into reality. Heather did an amazing job designing our master suite and kitchen making both spaces both functional and beautiful. She honed in on our style very quickly, and helped us select beautiful finishes. What I especially appreciated was her rock solid guidance when it came to our choices. She encouraged us to get out of our comfort zone, and the results are just amazing. When we decided it was time to do “something” to our house, we were unsure if we wanted to add on space or renovate the entire first floor of our home. We met with several designers and contractors to get a feel for what they would recommend for either addition or renovation. We recall being very impressed with Heather Alton, owner of New England Design Elements, after our meeting. Heather rapidly understood our home décor style and what we wanted to achieve at the end of the project. Heather also provided unique ideas that we loved. We hired New England Design Elements as a result and decided on a first floor renovation over an addition. We could not be happier with our new first floor. It was a drastic change, switching the dining room and living room, changing the entire layout of the kitchen, moving walls, adding windows, etc. We came to realize that we did not need to add on to our house, but rather have a great design implemented to improve the function, storage and aesthetic of our home. We think the highest recommendation we could provide is that we would not hesitate to hire New England Design Elements to design our kitchen again. By the way, the renovation was featured on Houzz as a kitchen of the week, although it was so much more.

Heather and team did a wonderful job renovating my apartment, especially the kitchen which looks fabulous. Her CAD design gave me confidence before the start of the project that it will turn out well. They hire good workers who are nice to talk to and seem to enjoy their job. You have to be really patient though. Good things come to those who wait

We loved working with New England Design Elements to build our custom home! Heather and her team customized three bathrooms including a gorgeous master bath that is one that we hate to leave daily! One of the biggest things we wanted was a gorgeous white kitchen and boy did they deliver. The kitchen design is one of our dreams and truly is the heart of the home. Everyone who has seen the kitchen has said it is one of the most beautiful spaces they have seen. There is not a day that we do not sit and say how much we love the finishes that were chosen and how everything pairs so well together. Heather and her team are true talents and are a joy to work with.

Heather designed and managed two bathroom renovation projects and the results were amazing. I particularly love my master bathroom--it is both beautiful and unique and has become my favorite room in the house. Heather took a small oddly shaped room, opened it up with a creative floor plan, fixtures and finishes. She was budget and schedule conscious and she recommended an outstanding contractor (Tencon). She and David are a pleasure to work with and they stay with the project until you are completely satisfied.

We bought a contemporary house in a nice neighborhood but had to see past the 70s tile, diagonal pine boards on the wall, and dated non-functional kitchen. We knew this house needed more work than we could manage ourselves so we hired NEDE after reading reviews and looking at their portfolio on Houzz. Heather had a vision to transform the heart of the downstairs to make the space more functional and also update the style to match the house. NEDE ended up renovating our kitchen, dining room, living room, as well as selecting textiles and furniture for these rooms. We are thrilled with the result and truly enjoy living in such a beautiful space. David, Jerry and Aaron, as well as the subcontractors, did great work to realize Heather's vision. We would recommend NEDE and would definitely engage them again for other projects.

We hired NEDE to remodel our kitchen in our house. The previous kitchen was 80's contemporary and needed to be fixed. We are very happy with the design and the quality of the renovation. Heather knows what shes talking about...TRUST her. David, Jerry and the whole team did excellent work. We went into it knowing we didnt know how to design and and we ended up very happy with the design.

They were also able to accommodate our desired timeframe for the renovation and they were very easy to work with. I met with Heather and Stacey a few times in person to go over the basic design and then via email or over the phone throughout the project. They did a great job in presenting me with options and keeping the decision making process moving. David, Jerry, and the entire team were fabulous to work with from demolition to final finish. Looking back at the project, New England Design Elements really made it very easy for us and our old summer home feels like a new house!

I'm so happy I found Heather Alton at New England Design Elements to help design the kitchen and bathrooms in our new custom lake house. We LOVE our house and every time I go into my master bathroom I can't believe how perfect and beautiful it is!! My kitchen too is right out of a magazine! Heather, Stacy and Dave are really great people to work with and are extremely talented, but best is they are a one stop shopping place. NEDE takes care of it all, making it all work smoothly and timely. Our experience was great and ALMOST stress free! But most important to us is Heather really kept it all within our budget!! I would actually build again but only with this team!! Highly recommend NEDE.

NEDE transformed our Master Bathroom. It was very dated and not laid out well, so it was a complete re-design. Our bathroom is so beautiful now. Heather and her team were great to work with. I can't even convey how much we love Heather's design - she had such great ideas, right down to every detail. Every person that worked on the project was professional and courteous. The room came out even nicer than we had ever imagined. We never want to leave the bathroom now!

We had a good experience with Heather and David. On our master bath Reno. Great ideas on the design offered and they worked hard to stay within budget. Subs mostly showed up when promised and left things cleaned up well. I recommend if you're looking for one-stop design build.
