Katherine North was the lead designer on my first home renovation in 2005. She was an integral part of the team which also included the general contractor -- but no architect. Katherine did a terrific job laying out two new bathrooms, designing the furniture plan for every room of the home, and selecting a color palate, fabrics, fixtures, and furnishings. She was consistently prompt with responses to questions, respectful of deadlines, and her invoicing was clear and timely. She honored our budget and masterfully mixed higher-end custom pieces with inexpensive off-the shelf items to create a cohesive design. The finished result won a California Home + Design Magazine award that year, which she fully deserved!

We worked with Northbrook Design and a large remodel in Pacific Heights earlier this year. Katherine and her team were creative, professional, and a pleasure to work with. The place looks amazing and the clients were extremely pleased with the results. We'd jump at the opportunity to work with them again.

Katherine and her team at Northbrook Design are currently working with our firm, Gast Architects, on a complete renovation of a large home in San Francisco – it’s been a delightful collaboration with us, our clients, and the general contractor, Matarozzi Pelsinger Builders.
