Shan is an experienced designer who clearly loves her work and it shows! As with all construction projects, there were situations to handle and Shan was never flustered and handled each with ease. She has great follow through on all aspects of the design and interior furnishings. Our completed home reflects our taste but her expertise comes through in every way. She introduced unique finishes and a design that I love and helped create a space that we can enjoy with family and friends for many years to come.

Shan Luvisa is an outstanding designer—the very best among some good designers I’ve worked with over the years. The ultimate professional, Shan took my vague style preferences and transformed our downstairs living areas with an updated and fresh design that friends and family describe as “stunning”. Shan’s design expertise was apparent from the start as she carefully listened to what I said, but also to what I didn’t say. To fill in the holes, she asked all the right questions and made great suggestions that led to a beautiful design that I absolutely love. Her extensive knowledge of textiles and the technical aspects of functional design were incorporated into her plans. The results are beautiful living areas that work perfectly for our busy extended family. Implementation of Shan’s design was smooth and timely as she called on her experienced team of subcontractors. I really appreciate how Shan worked closely with each subcontractor and how she was very frequently on-site to direct and inspect their work. I also appreciate that every subcontractor performed outstanding work, arrived on-time, worked neatly, and was friendly and professional. Overall, Shan Luvisa and Obvious Flair have my highest recommendation. I will definitely call her for all my future design projects.

Shan of Obvious Flair designed my entire house, a 5,200 sq ft Mediterranean style property in a gated community. Her work was flawless. She has a fabulous sense of space, and because the house had large rooms, every piece of furniture looked to scale in every room of the house. Her ability to use color properly and her knowledge of appropriate furniture and accessories for each specific style of house was impressive. She has decades of experience working with traditional, modern, contemporary, etc styles of homes, and her experience shows. She keeps up with new trends and styles as well. My house was also being rehabbed with walls being removed, floors being replaced, etc. She was very organized and worked well with the contractors, subcontractors, workers and assistants. She was always on top of everything, put out fires when necessary, and did whatever needed to ensure the entire process ran smoothly. Our house looked flawlessly beautiful, well put together, harmonious, and in great taste. I will definitely hire her to design my next house and highly recommend her to anyone who needs an interior designer, either for small jobs or large ones.

We love working with Shan from Obvious Flair! We have hired her to work on a few projects in our house and have been amazed how well each one has turned out. Our last project involved remodeling our entire downstairs: kitchen, living room, family room, dining room, office, half bath, and laundry room. Shan came up with design ideas to improve our existing layout, chose beautiful materials, and recommended furniture and accessories that worked within our budget. She was also great about listening to any of our concerns and alleviating them. We smile every time we come through the door and see our "new" house!

Let me just start by saying Wow!!!! I needed an interior designer to help me with our new home construction. Beginning to end she was responsive, knowledgeable, and creative. Her group of sub contractors were the same. She has access to a team of professionals that she has worked with for years and they go the extra mile for her. This was a total project inside and out and I could not have done it without her. Project was completed on time with many hours dedicated to making sure we could move in before our wedding. We did that 6 days before our family started to arrive!! Everyone who visits us is amazed at the level of detail, quality and craftsmanship in every room...even the garage! This review doesn't even begin to say how grateful I am to have had her on my team. She is the best!!

We hired Shan for our kitchen/family room/powder bath remodel and we are beyond pleased with the results! She did an excellent job picking out fabrics, colors, flooring, appliances and was so knowledgable about EVERY aspect of the remodel. Shan is very detailed oriented and she would point out things that I never would have thought of if I had done this remodel on my own. She was readily available when I had any questions and always got back to me right away. Shan really listens to what your needs are and transforms that vision. I hired Shan to take my home from literally "uninhabitable" to funky chic in only 30 days. She did it - and completed it beyond my expectations. The most important thing for me is that MY style is reflected in my home - I did not want a cookie cutter look that you see so often. I love my home and how it reflects who I am - funky (nothing too perfect - vintage), well lived and chic at the same time. I know there isn't a category for my style - but the point is she was able to take my vision and bring it to life. My only regret is that I don't have enough money to buy another house so I can do it all over again. Needless to say I highly recommend Shan.

We've used Shan for two projects. The first was a master bath remodel with a bedroom update. We kept adding to the project and ended up with all new flooring in the upstairs as well as a few simple projects downstairs. We were very pleased with the outcome of all the work. Shan oversaw the contractors and made sure everything was done correctly and on budget. The other project was a downstairs bedroom. What a beautiful transformation. All our guests rave about the finished project. We highly recommend her.
