We work closely with homeowners to create beautiful, liveable, and relaxed spaces that work for their lifestyles. Michelle Woolley Sauter and the team at One Coast Design have worked with clients all over the US and beyond. From the need for just a color consultation or a complete turn-key home, Michelle will be with you every step of the way. One Coast Design has 'virtual' clients and can do consultations with you, too, online if you need guidance from afar. An interior designer with an extensive background in painting and interior design, Michelle Woolley Sauter creates dynamic spaces where modern and traditional play off of each other. Her rooms come together organically in a stylish and exciting yet livable way. And they include layers of both old and new. She prefers a unique design solution that feels one of a kind. Because, in the end, it has to belong to you, the client, first and foremost. Our goal at One Coast Design is to focus on the entire scope of your project, from color balance to scale and beyond. Full turn-key residential installations, custom artwork, and bespoke furniture are just a few of her specialties! And with her background in the Yacht Interiors industry, Michelle has the inside edge working with spaces where flow and storage need to be optimized. Michelle is married to her husband, Brian, an Electrical Engineer. They live in a Historic Landmark Building with their mini Goldendoodle 'Charleston' in Summerville, SC.

Michelle Wooley-Sauter is by far the most talented designer and artist I’ve worked with across several design projects. Her team is incredibly talented as well. I’m in homebuilding and have worked with many design pros both professionally and personally over the past 20 years and Michelle is by far in a league all her own. Michelle has a gift and is skilled in every aspect and at all stages of design. I worked with her and her team on architectural enhancements, space planning, furniture, window treatment, art, and accessory selection. Not only do I love my home and the finished space, the One Coast Design team is very customer-focused and consistently impressed me with the small touches they do that let clients know they’re appreciated. My husband and I reached out to One Coast Design for a 2-hour consultation for design direction for a new home we had just purchased. Michelle, the owner, had so many amazing ideas for things we could do structurally and design-wise right out of the gate! Honestly, we didn't know where to start, we needed help and it was great to have a fresh set of eyes to point out things we might have missed! She was wonderful in how she explained what our timeline should be for certain phases of our project and gave us good feedback on the ideas we presented. Understanding how certain decisions would affect others down the road was a huge help to us! Michelle made the overwhelming process of designing our new home much more approachable and answers all our questions in a timely manner! We will continue to seek out Michelle's help as we tackle each new project in our home!

I met Michelle and her assistant Tabetha at the Charleston Home Show during a 'Meet the Designer' event and am so I glad I did! We hit it off right away! I booked a 2-hour consult and invited Michelle to come and see my home. She gave me so many fantastic ideas for design and color during her initial consult, I booked her for a day of 'one-on-one shopping' for furniture and decor! She and Tabetha arrived at our appointment with so many pieces of specifically selected artwork and decor items in tow for me to see in my spaces - I couldn't believe how amazing everything looked! We then purchased a few furniture pieces, lighting and decor to put the finishing touches on rooms I knew needed attention and Michelle hung all the artwork! I had a party that coming weekend and everyone who attended remarked on how beautiful my home was! Michelle and Tabetha truly amazed me...they stayed within my budget and my husband is thrilled with how our home looks now!!

Michelle is an amazingly talented Interior Designer. I'm an "inside the box" kind of person, but Michelle was able to help me see her vision, and think outside the box, which was a feat in itself! Her suggestions with color selections, lighting, rearranging/replacing certain pieces of furniture, placement of accent pieces, and even just something as simple as moving the TV to a different wall to make my fireplace and wall units the focal point they deserved blew my mind (I know, right?!) Michelle really helped me see the unused potential in my Summerville home. My hubby was adamant about keeping some things the same, and she was able to tastefully integrate those "no change items" within her plan! Her fee was reasonable, I only paid $365 for a 2 hour consultation, and she was definitely worth more! Michelle and I will be working soon on getting new pieces, and actually making the transformation...I can't wait to see my new living room! No matter what I want to change in my home, I am more than happy to write the check to Michelle...she's worth it!!!

She is extremely talented, easy to work with and has an art for interior design and painting custom pieces. I originally hired Michelle to provide artwork for a few different staging projects and most recently I commissioned her to paint a custom piece for a surprise birthday gift for my Mom. I absolutely love her work and I'm inspired by her creativity!
