Pamela Pennington Studios is wonderful. I'm working with Susan Milano who is very talented and has been extremely patient with my slow, decision making process. Meanwhile, she quickly understood my tastes and provided excellent options for my living room, dining room, bedroom, hallway and patio furniture, carpet, bedding and wall . She is organized, calm, efficient. I chose Pamela Pennington Studios after interviewing 3 or 4 interior design companies; I found their work to be the most pleasing to the eye, down to earth, and extremely talented.

Everyone I have worked with at this firm is top notch - from their design choices and refined aesthetic to their experience, professionalism, and consideration of budget and schedule. Their team was a pleasure to work with, especially Susan Milano, Pamela Pennington, and Tsun-Yen Wahab. Highly recommended.

Our architecture firm has worked with Pamela Pennington and Amanda Morris for over fifteen years. Similar to our firm, PPS specializes in custom single family residential projects of varying size and scope. PPS consistently provides creative interior design solutions and are very comfortable working within both the client's budget and the realm of conventional construction techniques. Pam and Amanda are easy to work with, well organized and good communicators. Unlike the shortcoming of many interior designers, PPS's drawings are comprehensive and easy to read. A great part of the success of our architecture firm can be attributed to the team of professional design consultants we work, and PPS is among the best interior design firms.

Through the course of two very successful and smoothly run projects, we have transformed two thirds of our two-story builder-grade home into an open, airy, and contemporary space that we love. All of this is in thanks to the meticulous designs developed and implemented by Pamela Pennington Studios (PPS). We were so fortunate to find PPS in 2013 through the recommendation of a friend who was in the midst of using the firm’s design services for a whole-house rebuild. Since we were new to remodeling and wanted to live in the home with our three children during construction, we decided to break our project into smaller, more manageable phases. Phase One encompassed a complete remodel of the kitchen, family room and dining room spaces, including removing interior walls to create an open plan, upgrading recessed, task and decorative lighting, moving and replacing an oddly placed gas fireplace with a clean-burning ethanol-fueled unit surrounded by marble, and much more. Design Director Tsun-Yen Wahab developed detailed, annotated design and construction documents for every inch and element of the space, and worked with my selected contractor to ensure accurate and timely implementation. The design itself mixed a variety of finishes, both high- and medium-end, per our request, and remained in budget. The end result was gorgeous. We continued to work with PPS to select furnishings, window treatments, and other interior decorating elements to complete the space. The Phase One experience went so smoothly, that we returned in 2015 to PPS to start Phase Two – a complete remodel of our master bedroom, bathroom and closet. We also updated lighting and flooring through several other areas of the house during this phase. Once again, Tsun-Yen presented numerous, creatively crafted design options that addressed both our functional needs and our desired aesthetic. That gave us the perfect opportunity to mix and match what we liked best from each option to develop the final design. Also once again, Tsun-Yen’s space layout, selection of materials, paint colors, and furnishings transformed yet another portion of our house into not only a beautiful and contemporary retreat, but an award-winning one as well. Throughout all of our work with PPS, we found every member of the firm, including owner and founder Pamela Pennington who often lent her insight and expertise, to be extremely talented at what they do and a complete pleasure to work with. More importantly, everyone sought to create designs based on our vision rather than impose their personal styles/preferences. We will no doubt return to PPS in the near future to complete the final phase of our remodel, and could not recommend their services more highly. Whether you have a single space in your home that needs an upgrade, or want to start from scratch, you should seek out PPS as your partner. You will be thrilled with the results!

Pamela Pennington Studios did a truly outstanding job renewing and upgrading our kitchen/family, dining room, and bath. Tsun-Yen Wahab has a great eye---shown in overall design, finishes selected, lighting, furnishings, and artwork. We greatly appreciate the attention to detail and craftsmanship in the project. In 2012 we embarked on a partial remodel of our 1950 era rancher. We were fortunate to observe a neighbor’s remodel during its work and then the final result. We saw that this styling, quality and ideas were visionary for us. We learned that the designer was Pam Pennington Studios and the builder was Forest Bodily Construction – a team that works well together. Their experience, patience and work product made it a pleasure working with Pennington Studios and Tsun-Yen. We retained Pennington and Tsun-Yen Wahab worked with us in the iterations of design. The project was joining the kitchen with family room; redoing the kitchen, sight alignments, utility of the walk flow; enlarging the master bath. The Pennington workshop is an archive of materials for selection that we would not have know about otherwise. Tsun-Yen had great innovations for the kitchen – including a trapezoidal countertop to bridge the kitchen with family room. They are sticklers for detail. And we are very pleased with the result. The combination of Pennington and Bodily Construction are the go-to designers in our neighborhood, with at least 6 houses completed in a 2-block radius from our house. We are very pleased with the results.

Pamela Pennington Studios has completed two major projects for us, both of which have won awards. They are professional and extremely easy to work with. Any issues we had with the subcontractors were rapidly resolved. Both projects we on budget , with timely completion. We will certainly hire them for any future projects - highly recommended.

Amanda at Pamela Pennington Studios saved my sanity! We remodeled a whole house and she helped me every step of the way. We could not have been happier with the result and we get rave reviews from our visitors.

Pamela’s firm brought a collaborative approach and a sophisticated design sense to a custom residence that we designed. They thoughtfully interpreted the client’s style in a way that harmonized with the architecture and material palette. They were also completely thorough and organized - from researching and presenting options, to the detail needed for ordering and communicating about budget and schedule. We are amazed by Pamela Pennington’s transformation of our old fashion 1928 home to a modern, light, open and gorgeous, no glamorous, abode. And she did it without changing the footprint or outside dimensions of the house. Pamela moved walls to transform our narrow “L” shaped kitchen into an open granite studded island, turned the side door into a back door, transformed attic space into a bathroom and walk-in closet, and created a new office for our in-home business. She even found space for my husband’s favorite feature, the espresso bar. Then Pamela got to work glamming up the place. Her color picks are impeccable, soothing with a bright accent color just where it works. Magnificent granite combined with stunning tile, but nothing is overdone. We love watching people’s jaw drop when they enter our new home, they are impressed by its beauty and calmed by the colors. When it came to choosing fixtures and furniture, Pamela steered us to choices that maximized our spending power. She knows where to upgrade and where not to, when to take you out shopping to look at options and when not to. She read our taste impeccably making the process of selecting everything from plumbing and lighting fixtures to furniture a breeze. When we took on our house remodel we wanted a professional team that would guide us efficiently, spend our money wisely, and not take too much time away from our business efforts. We will always be thankful we found Pamela Pennington and her team. She and Stephanie are easy to work with, there when you need them, practical and got along well with our contractor and subs. You can’t go wrong with Pennington Studios.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of working with Pamela Pennington and her team on two separate redesigns many years apart. When we purchased and eventually remodeled our first home in Los Altos, a craftsman cottage, Pamela provided her genius to ensure the house was a true home. Our daughters were still young plus we had 3 dogs! We wanted a lovely home but one that was appropriate for our young, energetic family and also didn't break the bank for us. What is so wonderful about Pam is that while she works with some of the wealthiest Silicon Valley families, she treated us like we were as important as any client she had. The outcome of the new design was both beautiful and functional. From Los Altos, we eventually moved into a home in Palo Alto and somehow everything Pam had suggested some to fit into our new home as if the items had been designed just for our Palo Alto home. The look was perfect and we followed through with Pam's paint recommendations and other details to make things stunning. Now our daughters are grown up and we have only one small dog and just sold our Palo Alto home to move to a 1908 condo in San Francisco. We reached out to Pam once again and, as before, she was warm, gracious, respectful of our budget and is offering her creative genius again. We know the outcome will be fabulous and it is just so much fun to be engaging with Pam and her friendly and creative team once again! (Susan Milano is on top of every detail and so gracious.)

I have worked with Pamela Pennington and her staff on three projects: a new house design (project scrapped), fully remodeled house (completed 2003), and a family room design in newly purchased house (completed 2008). This firm leads in modern design, but avoids fads. I like the clean lines and functionality of modern design with warm materials and color for an inviting living space. Pamela and her staff have done an exceptional job of making my needs a reality in my home. I did not really understand the value of color in my home until Pamela brought in her expertise. She was able to identify a palette that worked for both my husband and myself.
