About Us

Laura Neuman is an award winning interior designer in Sacramento. She works with doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, politicos, business executives and other successful professionals throughout Sacramento, Granite Bay, Roseville and Auburn, California. Laura, who specializes in residential interior design, renovation, and new home building, is known for her solid business skills, delightful design aesthetic and extraordinary customer service.She works diligently with dashes of whimsy, beautiful fabrics, and authentic patina to craft luxurious and warmly modern interiors for PepperJack clients. She believes that working with an interior designer should be a delightful and rewarding experience and at the same time a straightforward one. Laura is backed by a team of some of the area’s top architects, contractors, cabinetmakers, window treatment specialists and trades as well as a network of national vendors and suppliers. Her design training and experience is coupled with an engineering degree from Stanford and an extensive Fortune 500 career in international business, marketing and advertising. Her clients today benefit from the business management and planning skills she gained from her successful earlier career, and from her lifelong love of art, travel, history and literature. Laura is a proud member of ASID, having served on the board of her local chapter and represented ASID national in marketing campaigns. Her awards include 1st Place Bath Renovation for the ASID CA/Nevada Chapter, and 2014, 2015 and 2016 Best of Houzz awards. Her work has appeared in local and national publications, including Elle Decor, Sacramento Home, Sacramento Magazine and the Sacramento Bee; she was recently identified as one of the top 15 interior designers in Sacramento.

Laura is by far the best design professional I've ever worked with! We worked with Laura on a master bathroom/bedroom remodel and a complete transformation of our guest house. Laura listened to our ideas and asked all the right questions about how the space would be used and came back with a plan that truly exceeded our expectations. She transformed our ideas into magical spaces! The materials and furnishings Laura recommended are beautiful and worked perfectly with the budget. Laura is immensely talented and creative and listens to her clients ... a great combination!

We had a great experience working with Laura. She is thorough and and she was able to grasp our vision and style we wanted to achieve for our dining room, master bedroom, and office. For our master bedroom, we used her for wall paper, decor, and furnishings . For the Dining room, we used her for wall paper, a custom dining table and chairs. She is very easy to work with. She has an eye for detail, style and we could not have achieved what we imagined without her. We are very pleased with the results and the process. Laura is AMAZING!!. We remodeled our kitchen and family room and used her for the design. She was professional, talented, energetic, resourceful and intuitive She really listened to us, took the time to see the needs of our family and worked through multiple small revisions until we arrived at the perfect design. What I liked best about working with Laura was that she doesn't overwhelm you with ALL the options that are possible. She just presents the ones in your taste and budget. Laura helped keep everyone on task. She met with the contractors independently and with us to ensure everything was just as we wanted. Our job was quite a bit of work, but Laura never tired of our project. She was always so bright and helpful. If there were 100 stars she could have them all!

It's taken me a while to write this, but I feel I must share our experience. I've never hired a professional designer before and had the stress of designing my home from a far. I interviewed a few different professionals one weekend when I traveled into Sacramento. Laura was by far the most professional and totally understood what I wanted better than I did. We hired Laura and gave her our budget and off she went and came back to us with some pretty amazing ideas. We collaborated together on the final project, she had to deal with me and my husband!! Once everything was in and now we've had time to enjoy, we realize how much we love our home and couldn't have done it without Laura's help. I would hire Laura again in a heartbeat and totally recommend her if you are looking for a true collaborator.

Wow! What can I say? I was into the project and realized I was in over my head... I called Laura and she absolutely saved the day. She helped me with choosing paint colors, granite, backsplash and other important design decisions. She understood my budget and worked to keep costs down when needed. My kitchen is now everything I hoped.
