I was beyond impressed with Pilar Shephard's knowledge and expertise in the areas of art, funishings, china and silverware appraisals. She had performed an enormous amount of research, based only on photos I had sent to her, before she viewed the actual pieces. Her professionalism entirely complemented her expertise. It was a pleasure doing business with her and Robert and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to have competent appraisals of fine art. Dale Lafontaine
I have been working with Pilar for more than ten years in art business with great pleasure. At that time she was director of Pilar Shephard Art Gallery in Charlottetown P-E-I. She is very knowledgeable in the field of art in general and a very nice person to work with. Highly recommended. René T.

Pilar Shephard is very well respected within the fine art community, for over 30 years now. She is well known as an expert in her field, and is very highly recommended as an Art and Antique Appraiser and Art Consultant. Pilar is always gracious, and she is very dedicated. She has several art degrees and certificates, and has a Master of Arts degree from L'Université du Québec à Montréal. She has been an art educator in universities, she was an Assistant Museum Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, in NYC, and holds a Certification in Art Appraisal from New York University. She has had several articles published. She owned Pilar Shephard Art Gallery in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, for 23 years, representing major Canadian Artists. The gallery was published in Heritage, Condé Nast travel magazine, Vie des Arts, and Canadian House and Home. Another interesting fact about Pilar, is that she is also fluent in English, French and Spanish.
