Powell Brower Interiors offers full service design created by Nancy Powell and daughter, Bethany Brower. We specialize in both residential and commercial design projects and it is our passion to create spaces beyond our clients expectations! Our interiors are calm, natural and curated. We want to take the 'snobbery' out of design, and make interior design accessible and affordable. Over the past few years, Powell Brower Interiors has helped us renovate most of our first floor and our master bath. We love every room Nancy has designed. My husband and I often have different design opinions and Nancy is highly skilled at creating designs we both love. For example, after 2 years of debate over powder room wall art, on her first try, she proposed something we both loved. As parents of young kids who both work full time, we love how easy it is to work with Nancy and that she handles all the details from concept to overseeing construction to final touches. We’re looking forward to our next project with Powell Brower Interiors!

Nancy at Powell Bower Interiors was AMAZING to work with! Nancy transformed my 13 years old daughter's bedroom into a picture-perfect room. She took the time to understand my daughter's style and ensured that everything was eloquently displayed in the room. Her attention to detail was phenomenal. We visited a friends home that had been recently renovated using the design services of Powell Bower Interiors. The work was gorgeous and when we left their house I immediately told my husband that I wanted to contact them to discuss are bedroom and basement projects. Nancy and Bethany came to our house for the initial consult and we felt they would be a great team to work with to see our vision come to life for each space. Covid-19 hit and the rest of our design meetings and decisions were done on zoom and conference calls. The process was different and we didn't get the face to face contact, but they were professional and it was a wonderful experience. We weren't able to stay within budget, not surprising, but when we needed to reduce costs they were able to find less expensive pieces that still worked beautifully in the spaces. They presented two designs for each space and we took elements from both to help our vision come to life. I love everything about the bedroom, but a few of my favorite aspects of the design are the wallpapered ceiling and accent wall and the picture gallery wall with photos of all or travels. For the basement we wanted a lounge and bar area with a space to finally display all our Washington Capitals hockey memorabilia. The space turned out beautifully! It has already become a place to hang with friends, watch hockey, and make fancy cocktails. I recommend the team of Nancy and Bethany and can't wait until I have another project to work with them on.

Nancy and Bethany are an amazing design team. My husband and I hired them to help us design to our shared tastes in the first home we owned together. They have impeccable taste, are problem solvers, and work with the best vendors and contractors. Every person they brought into the project were also easy to work with and were held to the same high standards. Their designs and products they source are all professional grade and not something you could think up on your own. Case in point: the fireplace they resurfaced in our living room was featured in a local magazine. We liked how they pushed us to consider things we would not have on our own, but were also responsive to our ideas and tastes. My first experience working with Nancy was when we needed help with our family room window treatments along with paint and wall paper for the study and powder room. She also freshened up the seating areas with new pillows and rearranged the bookshelves which I really loved. We were so pleased with the outcome that we asked her to come back a year later and do our master bedroom/bathroom. Nancy was able to capture the "peaceful-spa-escape" feeling that we wanted. The beautiful colors, window treatments, rugs and furniture choices are all so lovely! Nancy exudes warmth, creativity and enthusiasm. It was a nice surprise one day to meet Bethany, and it warmed my heart to watch this gifted & loving mother-daughter team/Powell Brower work their magic together!

Nancy Powell did an outstanding job in designing a new fresh look for my dining room. She created a lovely design using updated wallpaper, drapes and paint colors that were in keeping with the character of my country farmhouse (circa 1930). She is delightful to work with and very professional in her presentation of ideas that clearly reflected that she had heard my vision as well as my concerns. Nancy was respectful of my existing artwork and dining room furniture that I love and integrated these into the design. The result is a bright fresh look that is authentic to the house and has received many complements. I highly recommend using her services for your next project.
