About Us

I believe with good design your personality shows thru in your space and can be inspiring and functional at the same time… I love to use pops of color, repurpose unique pieces, and mix old with new to create and enhance character…Design should be fun! I have a casual approach to design and love what I do. I strive to help create a space that makes you smile, relax and say "I'm home." Rachel helped take parts of our home above and beyond our expectations. She listened to my ideas and my frustrations, then with her experience and knowledge of the industry pointed me in all the right directions. She also gave me multiple options in what direction to go. She has helped me with smaller projects but i believe there is not project she can’t handle. My husband and I now joke, “when I’m doubt call Rachel!”

Rachel recently selected paint colors for the exterior of my home. My house was a drab monotone and I was looking to do something very different. Rachel asked questions about what I might like then made color suggestions. I could not be happier with the end result! Even my neighbors have stopped by to compliment my new house colors. The trim pops and I love my new statement front door! I highly recommend Rachel!

Hiring Rachel for color consultation took away all the stress associated with selecting paint colors for my home. The paint colors in our house were dark and dull. She has an excellent eye for color and knew exactly what she was talking about. She picked colors that would flow together and gave good advice on what would work and not work. She is also very reasonably priced and easy to work with – I highly recommend her.

I highly recommend Rachel Greathouse. We had a great experience working with Rachel to renovate our entryway, living, dining, family room and kitchen. Rachel advised us on everything from neutral paint colors to flooring to kitchen lighting. The professionals she recommended are excellent. My favorite of everything is the dark stain and new textured carpet to update the golden oak staircase. I look forward to working with Rachel on the next project!

This review is long overdue! I found Rachel through admiring her work on Houzz. Our "new-to-us" home needed paint from top to bottom. I was hesitant to reach out to her because I didn't feel that a paint consult was a huge project worthy of a designer but I needed help. I'm so glad I made that call to her. Rachel is so friendly and outgoing plus she came into our home armed with paint decks and ideas. We shared the ideas we had, what we liked/didn't like and voila! we had the perfect paint palette in hand that day (I was under a time crunch). Plus she provided amazing tips and misc. décor tweaks as we walked through the rooms. The house looks amazing. Friends and our former real estate agent have called it "magazine-worthy". She helped us create the perfect vibe with color but it still feels very “us” because we used our thoughts for the foundation. I've been asked repeatedly for the name of our primary gray color by others because she nailed it. With moving in and painting complete, I also consulted with her again on décor ideas throughout the house, mainly lighting and wall art. To quote a funny ecard, she just "awesomed" all over the place. She has great vision that completely matches my style and it gives me more confidence to make decisions without worrying I am going to "mess up" our beautiful new home. And the best part, is that she exudes personality and does not give the “intimidating designer who only shops high-end” vibe that I was initially afraid of when researching interior designers. She is an absolute rock star and such a joy to work with.

Rachel not only has a great eye for selecting the perfect items, she is also adept at working within your budget. What I love most about Rachel is that she deosn't push you into anything, but rather is confident in suggesting some items, colors, or overall looks and let's you decide to select them or to work within that basic framework. She's also a fun person to spend time with!

Rachel is amazing! She is not only extremely talented and very professional but she is also down to earth and makes you feel very comfortable during the design process. She definitely respects our opinions of how we want our home to be and always gives options to achieve our goals while still infusing her expertise. Rachel helped us to update most of our 10 year old home and we love it more now than when it was first built. We can't wait to hire her again for finishing our basement.

House painting is expensive and I'm only OK at picking colors. I really wanted solid advice on how to make our house look great. I found Rachel on houzz and she responded quickly to my inquiry. She worked me into her schedule so I could meet some impending deadlines. When she came to our house, she was ready ready with ideas, pleasant, and professional. My husband and I love how it turned out! She helped us find just the right shade for the house and trim. We would have never thought to use a specialized "copper" paint for some of the metal work, but it looks really nice. Also we would have never thought to make the porch ceiling a sky color, but again, it's a great detail. Weeks later, I needed some follow up on colors for the deck and she got back to me instantly. I would definitely work with her again.

Love, love, love Rachel! She goes above and beyond. I hired Rachel as a consultant on my recent kitchen remodel. She helped me with paint color, slab, fixture and backsplash selections for my kitchen, as well as fabric and rug selections for my living room. She is AWESOME!!
