We have used Rachel Kate Design for several projects: window treatments, room refreshes, screened porch addition, basement finish, and complete design furnishing (and I mean from scratch) of a vacation rental—she can do it all! She has a strong background in design but also understands the complexities and timeline requirements of construction so she keeps the project moving and on time. She is easy to work with, creative and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Rachel for your next home improvement project, large or small!

Rachel did an amazing job designing an addition to our house. We added a back level split with 2 bedrooms/bath on LL and a game room with wet bar above as well as a 2nd master closet off our master bathroom. She added some creative ideas along the way that weren't part of our initial concept that we wanted and she also played project manager for us holding the contractors accountable for the timeline along the way. We had a couple issues pop during the project and she was great at addressing them timely and keeping things on task. I would recommend Rachel to anyone.

When my wife and I were finally able realize our vision of creating a giant LODGE that could accommodate 20+ guests in luxurious comfort, it did not take us long to discover that our 'expertise' stopped at "having a vision." We were fortunate to partner with Rachel Kate who from day one was every bit as excited about the project as we were. Rachel helped us design our "modern rustic" home in Northern Minnesota. She was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the project.
