Rebecca was great! She helped us with our whole house remodel in 2017. She is extremely professional and responsive. She is well organized with the appropriate sense of urgency. She is well connected with great suggestions you may not have thought of as you embark upon a project. She can help you avoid design mistakes you may never have thought of and bring new ideas to the table helping to troubleshoot through to solutions. She really helped us to design the layout of our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, to pick all of our appliances and fixtures and helped me to put together my choices on materials (cabinet finishes, counter tops, hardwood, etc). She was a great sounding board and helped me have confidence in my choices and avoid some pitfalls.

We hired Rebecca for Phase 3 of our home remodel, at the suggestion of our long term and excellent contractor, Fred Franke. Rebecca did an absolutely outstanding job, and she was a delight to work with. She is talented, smart, creative, efficient, responsive, budget sensitive and very easy to work with. She also has great resources and relationships in the design and construction community in SD. Our Phase 3 remodel was the most aesthetic of our home remodels, and we could not have been happier with the end result. We would not hesitate to hire Rebecca again.

Really an outstanding professional. Rebecca is smart, efficient, practical, respectful of my tastes and desire to incorporate beloved old pieces of furniture into my new home, and has a great sense of style. I wanted to put Mexican tile in an historic San Diego home my husband and I purchased (on line, from Baltimore!) I found Rebecca through the tile store and felt very lucky in that find. When I decided it was time to re-do my living room and master BR, I knew that I'd get the best results by hiring an interior designer. However, I'd had a bad experience with one in the past, when a designer inflated prices and ordered things without my permission, so I was wary. I talked to a lot of people, and Rebecca Soechtig was highly recommended to me. So, I met her for a consult and immediately knew I could trust her and that her first priority was to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted, and what my budget was. She showed me examples of her work, and I was very taken with her sense of design and originality. She's very smart, super upbeat and creative, and can change directions on a dime if I want something different. I must have been a challenge to work with because I had so many ideas, all over the map! I needed her to bring some contemporary ideas into rooms that already had traditional components that I was unwilling to part with. She asked a lot of questions and bounced ideas off me, showed me pictures, brought me to furniture and fabric showrooms, hauled binders full of paint samples, fabrics, textiles and floor coverings to my house, sat with me at my computer while we scanned all the best sites on the internet, and generally threw herself entirely into my project, even though she had other clients at the same time. When outside contractors were needed, she pulled names from a list of reliable people she'd worked with, and I found every one of them to be hard-working, honest, responsive, and fairly priced. Rebecca has a high sense of integrity, and she demands that from all the people she works with. In the end, Rebecca designed two important rooms in a way that surpassed my expectations. She managed to blend styles seamlessly and beautifully, bringing a contemporary feeling to traditional rooms in a very well-balanced way. The rooms are both gorgeous and interesting to look at, and are totally in keeping with my and my husband's tastes. Throughout the process, Rebecca kept me apprised of schedules and costs and I always felt that the project was under control. But one of the best things about working with Rebecca is her wonderful ability to listen carefully to my ideas, and then suggest ways that they could be honored but sometimes modified. Although all the decisions were ultimately left to me, it was important to me that she tell me honestly when some of my ideas wouldn't work well. Rebecca and I had a really good relationship and I felt like we were partners working toward the same goal. I plan to do more renovations next year, and I would hire Rebecca again in a heartbeat!

She successfully walks the line of looking out for her customer/design while working with the contractor through the many site conditions that challenge the design. She strives to ensure that all material is selected, ordered and available before a project starts which enables the contractor to ensure the project schedule. She provides value to her clients.

I am a kitchen designer and cabinet suppler, and have worked with Rebecca on several projects over a 7-8 year span. She is the consummate professional. She has discriminating taste with a modern flair, although I know she's comfortable working within a traditional vernacular as well. Rebecca Soechtig of REDinterior helped us redecorate and furnish our condo in La Jolla. We found her most helpful. She really understood our needs and made the whole process most enjoyable. As this condo is a vacation home we could not be available to accept deliveries. Rebacca handled that for us and made sure that our purchases were as ordered and in good condition. We love everything that she helped us choose and could not have managed without her help.

Rebecca at Red Interior did a fantastic job for our condo remodel in La Jolla. Not only did we very much enjoy working with her, Rebecca was also both extremely responsive and responsible. Our remodel had to be completed along a strict time frame. Whether it was a simple phone call back to us, or staying on top of the various contractors, Rebecca had our back. Not to mention always looking out to make sure we stayed in budget and comparing various options (which can otherwise be overwhelming). Rebecca quickly understood our design style and the needs for our family too, constantly pointing us in the right direction. We were also very impressed with the contractors she used, and her rapport with them. These guys all performed truly excellent work, and most unbelievable of all, got the job finished on time, every time. In fact, there were times where we would have the tile guys working in one area, the electrician in another, and perhaps a landscaper or plumber working in other areas. The coordination by Rebecca was truly impressive, and yes, the project was completed on time. And I mean completed, they didn't leave odds and ends that needed to be addressed later, it was 100% finished on time and done right the first time. I have recommended Rebecca to our closest of friends and would not hesitate in using her services again!

I was one of those people who thought, why do you need a designer, but when you hire her you find out soon enough that there is much more work involved with a remodel than you think. Rebecca is not your typical designer, she is the project coordinator that will design the space based on your likes and wants, not hers. She gets to know you as a person and how you live and then helps build a space around that. Rebecca did it all, all the plans, all of the planning, and if we needed to find someone or something unique, she took care of it! If she brought up something that we thought was to expensive, she was more than willing to find/offer alternatives to what we think made more sense You hear horror stories from people saying their remodel went twice as long, and the budget doubled. We had 90 days to finish a full remodel and we were moved in on day 90! Without the proper people in place, you will find yourself with project delays costing you more time and money. Rebecca makes sure you stay on time and on budget essentially saving you money.

I initially sought the services of REDinterior to help with paint color choices for my home, but ended up doing a few extra things. I love upgrading my home but find the process stressful. Working with Rebecca was better than I had expected from an interior designer. She was extremely thoughtful about my budget and gave me suggestions about the best way to maximize what I wanted within that budget, such as picking and choosing what to work on to make the biggest impact in our home. She already has painters, wood workers, electricians, installers, etc. that she has vetted and communicates any issues that arise with them directly, saving you time and lots of hassle. Back to the paint, she gave suggestions for colors and palettes that I wouldn’t have thought of had I gone to a paint store myself. The result is a palette that flows beautifully from room to room. When I walk in my house now I am extremely happy, it looks beautiful, clean and fresh.

I was most impressed with how quickly Rebecca learned my aesthetic tastes, whether it was furniture design, colors or compatibility with what I chose to bring from Las Vegas. When I purchased a 1200 sf condo in La Jolla, I still resided in a 4500 sf home in Las Vegas. The condo needed a complete renovation to take full advantage of its potential, including the kitchen, one bath, increasing the door widths, and removing, moving and thickening the walls to add a sound barrier. I am disabled, so there were special considerations for the disability. In addition, Rebecca navigated the permit process without needing me to be involved, and managed the construction crew, making sure that I got what we had discussed. I was pleased with her ability to select contractors and subcontractors who produced quality results. This long distance project went flawlessly because of a number of factors. Rebecca found a way to obtain the needed information whether it was from me, the title company, my agent or the condo manager. Rebecca knew when she needed my input and found a way to get it whether it was flying to see me or sending packages for my approval. I was constantly impressed with how much Rebecca knew about me, even with only a couple of face to face meetings. Anybody using Rebecca’s services will be impressed with her knowledge and resources. I could not be more pleased with the outcome.
