Reid Design, owned by interior designer Rachel Reid, is a residential interior design and decorating firm located just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Whether you are redesigning your current residential space or building from the ground up, we provide you with expert and attentive assistance from concept development to completion of project. Rachel worked with me on furnishing my new apartment from scratch after a... life transition. Beyond being a consummate professional with impeccable taste, Rachel made the whole experience fun! She was genuinely excited to accompany to cool furniture and design stores where everybody knew her name (& gave her great deals!). She became obsessed with finding the perfect piece, sometimes sending me URL links or Pinterest boards late into the evening or on weekends, whenever the inspiration would strike. She was also unafraid of saying "No" (sometimes in colorful ways) when I texted her images of proposed elements that didn't work. And when the place came together, it all somehow felt like ME even though I might not have known exactly what I wanted when the process began. I love my apartment and receive many compliments from people seeing it for the first time. Thanks, Rachel!

Rachel has an incredible talent for creating spaces in your home that you feel wonderful in. Her sense of color, texture, light and form have transformed our home, and we couldn't be happier. She often has a vision for a space, yet still works to achieve your preferred approach, and works incredibly hard to source pieces that fulfill your vision. She has great relationships with her providers, who in turn did beautiful work for us. When we had difficulties with our General Contractor, Rachel partnered with us to help address them. We couldn't have been happier in working with Rachel, and we love our renovated home.

I worked with Rachel on a major addition/renovation and she was a joy to work with from start to finish. From the beginning, Rachel listened carefully to really understand what the client was looking for (a fresh modern interior for their traditional home) and she worked closely with the team to bring that vision to reality. She provided a wealth of ideas and inspirations for all of the finishes, fixtures, and furniture and worked closely with the client to evaluate options, stay on budget, and coordinate with the contractor to ensure that every room lived up to its potential. I would recommend her without reservation - and look forward to working with her again soon.
