Robyn Shapiro is an exceptional designer. Her trainer as an architect gives her an amazing sense of space that pairs perfectly with her design sensibility. She absorbed the vision of the architect who designed our contemporary home and created an incredibly beautiful environment that flows through an inside outside space. It's beautiful and peaceful and completely a reflection of who we are and how we want to live. Our architect commented that in all his years designing homes, this was the first time the interior design was perfectly aligned with the architectural vision. It was a pleasure to work with Robyn.

I have worked with Robyn since 2011. During that time we have run the gamut of the design process from extensive construction through furniture installation. It is rare to find an architect/designer who can successfully traverse this broad range of skills but Robyn does it. She is as adept on a construction site refining building details as she is at the Merchandise Mart selecting the perfect trim for a Fortuny pillow. I am a very hands-on consumer; I have definite ideas about how I want rooms to function and I’m very detail oriented. I’m fuzzy about a budget until I think it’s been exceeded and then I can be very specific. I am not a dream client and yet this collaboration has exceeded my expectations. Robyn’s ability to be collaborative without compromising her intensely creative process was one reason. Just as critically, she is very comfortable in the architect/contractor relationship. She works in a respectful way but is demanding of consistently high quality; and if a supplier slips up, she immediately steps in as the client’s best advocate. Problems inevitably arise; she solves them. Perhaps the greatest compliment I can pay is that our project is not only beautiful but each room performs precisely as we originally imagined it would. Living in our home is both a visual delight and a practical pleasure.

My wife and I have used Robyn for a number of projects in our condo over the last 7-8 years. These include redoing my office, my wife's office, our den, our master bath, our children's playroom, and other decorating activities throughout our condo. She is both an excellent designer and very technically proficient. We would strongly recommend her to others.

Robyn's firm was hired as architect and interior designer for a complete renovation of our early 1900's condominium. Robyn has exquisite taste and a real acumen to see potential design alternatives through the most challenging of existing conditions. More importantly she was great at articulating her vision to us and meshing it with what we wanted for our home. She is very professional, good humored and a joy to be around during what can be a very stressful process.

Robyn Shapiro Design designed and decorated my entire 4000 square foot apartment. It's absolutely gorgeous, enhances the wonderful views, and is as comfortable as it is beautiful. I do a lot of entertaining and my home adapts to any size group and always inspires many compliments.
