Rozalynn was hired at the beginning of the process - when my house was just being completed by the developer - and she educated me in design and decoration throughout, helping me select art, furniture, colors etc. She has provided me comprehensive services - and learning - in an area I was unfamiliar with prior to her hiring. My project began in January 2016. It involves a high-end home and I wanted things to be just right - attention to details and the big picture. I really appreciate her guidance, work and friendship.

Rozalynn Woods is the consummate professional. Elegant, chic, highly creative, fresh and original are adjectives that describe her work. Rozalynn's design eye is one of the best and is able to span a variety of styles. I highly recommend her.

Photographing Rosalynn's work is always a treat. I'm constantly fascinated by her use of shapes, layers and pallets. The environments she creates are peaceful and distinctive. Over the years I have made several strong images of her work, and look forward to working with here again.

Visionary. Unrivaled. Perfectionism. Quintessential problem solver. Simply stunning. These words best describe Rozalynn Woods Design, who my wife and I hired in early 2014 to design our 1967 ranch home that quite frankly, had no idea "what it wanted to be." A complete gut and remodel, Roz was masterful in transforming a rather peculiar property into a sensational Santa Barbara Contemporary Ranch style home over the course of 12-15 months. The entire home features simple, clean lines throughout without clutter, and somehow Roz was able to create a bond - more like a marriage - between the interior living space and very mature landscaping highlighted by 9 massive oak trees. Soaring 14' tall Fleetwood stacking doors in the family room/kitchen open to create a seamless entertaining and living space between the home and mother nature outside. Very cleverly, Roz plays to this theme and pays homage to the South Pasadena protected oaks by sourcing a one-of-a-kind black walnut tree from the Pacific Northwest that was milled and finished to her exacting standards (she actually flew to Oregon to supervise) to become the island top for our kitchen island that looks out over the back yard. I believe the best example of her unparalleled design talents, however, is our home office. My wife and I were interested in keeping to the home's era (built in late 60's), plus as huge fans of the TV show "MadMen", Roz designed an office that Donald Draper himself would drool over (with Cutty Sark on the rocks in hand). Featuring cantilevered desks, floating cabinets and shelves, solid oak (again, paying homage to our exterior), and a eye-popping contemporary fireplace, Roz has somehow made spending time at home doing work...fun! When we retained Roz (we also interviewed Casa Wazy and Charmean Neithart), she promised if hired she would "make our home her baby". Admittedly, as a consultant myself, I was doubtful (heard that one before!). Truth is - she really did make it her baby...and them some. We love you, Rozalynn Woods - thanks for making our house the talk of the town!

We have worked with Rozalynn Woods on several occasions over the last 15 years or so. Such a long-standing relationship speaks to our respect for Rozalynn's abilities and the fact that we enjoy working with her. Rozalynn has a sophisticated sense of design and an ability to understand her clients' objectives. She listens well and is willing to incorporate her clients' design thoughts into a project through a genuinely consultative process. She also has the ability to work within a range of budgets; our experiences with her have ranged from shopping for antiques in Europe to shopping online to furnish a guesthouse. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rozalynn.

I have known Rozalynn Woods for over 30 years and have admired her style and amazing talent. She started bringing in a more contemporary feel into Pasadena before anyone in Pasadena even knew that contemporary was a term that you mixed with residential. At that time and still to this day Pasadena with all its old world historic feel and noteworthy architecture from the architects of the day ( Wallace Neff, Green & Green, Roland E Coates, Marston Van Pelts, Myron Hunt, Reginald Johnson, Buff and Hensman, Frank Lloyd Wright ) Is a majority if not completely traditional community. Rosalynn had her work cut out for her. But when Rozalynn did the contemporary zen Guest House in the 2001 Pasadena Showcase House, it was the hit of the show. It didn't matter what else was in that house because all that anyone was talking about and still remembers to this day was her Guest House! She obviously doesn't only do contemporary, but she paved the road for Pasadena to start broadening their interests into more contemporary or transitional direction. She is extremely talented and I am honored to be on a first name basis with her.

Roz was our decorator for our remodel. We have nothing but praise for her vision and professionalism. She was able to maintain the overall aesthetic of our house but at the same time turning our older home (much in need of an update) into a comfortable, functional and (we think) visually compelling environment. One thing we really appreciate is her ability to take one out of one's comfort zone. She showed us several things that we would never have thought of ourselves but which are now some of our favorite pieces in the house. At the same time she's a great listener and will take care to make sure what she designs is something you will be happy with. She doesn't impose her particular likes and dislikes (but she does have great taste in our opinion). She also works very well with architects and contractors. We had both on our project and they all functioned very harmoniously.

Rozalynn Woods Interior Design gets it. There can be no better example than the 2 very different homes she has designed for us. She is presently designing a fun 1953 mid-century home for us, after having designed a very traditional 1920's English Tutor a few years ago. In both cases the attention to detail, budget, sensibility, deadlines and taste were impeccable. Other than design, the most important thing a designer must do is understand her clients; she does- and we are not easy. While we originally asked Rozalynn to involve us in all aspects of her design choices, my husband trusts her so much that he has come to the conclusion that Rozalynn does her homework, considers our budget, is always right, and if she likes then we should get it. She has not made any bad decisions in our homes. People who know good design should know Rozalynn Woods Interior Design. She is a magnificent designer and a great person to work with.

I hired Rozalynn to design my bungalow two years ago. She completely understood the look I wanted and came to me with incredible vision and creativity every step of the way. She was able to design a space that was comfortable, yet inspired, all the way down to the color of soap used in the bathroom. Rozalynn is a true collaborator and has an intuitive understanding of people which is essential when designing such personal spaces. She listened to all of my ideas and then transformed them into something I never could have dreamed of. Rozalynn quite literally turned this bungalow into not only a home, but an oasis. I look forward to hiring her again!

We did an extensive remodel with new additions to the house, and hired Rozalynn to do the interior design. Through her vision and direction, Rozalynn ensured that the new additions were seemlessly integrated into the original house (both interior and exterior). She was also able to transform the entire look and feel of the house by successfully blending the old-world classic charm appropriate to the age and architecture of the house with a slightly modern and fun twist, including going beyond her role as the interior designer in providing high impact suggestions and feedback to our architect and contractor. With impeccable taste, Rozalynn always has a clear vision of what she wants in a room and how she is going to execute that vision. She also has an uncanny ability to quickly assess and narrow down choices, from the color of the walls (both interior and exterior) to the knobs on cabinets/door hardware to fabric choices. We are also constantly amazed by her attention to detail -- down to the trim on every cushion to the fold of every pleat on a drape. We always found Rozalynn to be a great collaborator and very open-minded to our particular preferences. We appreciate the fact that she always tried her best to incorporate our individuality into her vision while always taking our ideas or suggestions seriously. It has been a real pleasure working with her! In the end, my husband and I love the fact that Rozalynn created a beautiful surrounding that has just the right balance of classic formality and contemporary design, a home that is not only comfortable but has an airy lightness and personal warmth to every space from the brown walls in our sunroom to the open basement bedroom/family room/study areas.
