Sarah Barnard is a WELL and LEED accredited designer and creator of environments that support mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. She creates highly personalized, restorative spaces that are deeply connected to art and the preservation of the environment. An advocate for consciousness, inclusivity, and compassion in the creative process, Sarah has appeared in Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Vogue, HGTV and many other publications. In 2017 Sarah was recognized as a "Ones to Watch" Scholar by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

From the moment you meet Sarah, you know you have hit the jackpot. Her thoughtfulness and personalized attention to detail is unmatched. She is incredibly unique in her creative thought process. Yes, she is very talented. She is also a genuinely good human. She cares about the environment. She cares about inclusivity. She brings that passion into her work. If you have the privilege to work with Sarah, you will find it to be a wonderful experience.

After my son was diagnosed with autism, I contacted Sarah about transforming my small condo into a supportive space for his intensive at-home therapies. She understood my wishlist — a sensory retreat, running path, climbing areas, toy storage, etc. — while keeping it realistic within the constraints of 400 sq ft. Her design was amazing. Through thoughtful layout and multipurpose furnishings, she included climbing structures, a "treehouse" with slide, a running path marked on the floors, and soft padded areas. A large rug demarcated the main therapy zone, with surrounding activity areas funneling attention. The overall effect was a flexible, practical home that still felt vibrant, playful and colorful. I appreciated Sarah's deeply collaborative process. Despite her greater experience, it was a conversation where she guided me through options and tradeoffs. Her solutions reflected tremendous insight into my son's needs. After each discussion, she would return days later with creative ideas that somehow captured exactly what I had wished for. She made everything seem possible. The space had an enormously positive impact. My son happily engages with therapists while also enjoying imaginative play. His communication blossomed over the next year as his outgoing personality emerged. The room delights neurotypical kids too - they never want to leave! I couldn't have asked for a better interior designer and partner.

Sarah Barnard is an excellent designer! She is incredibly professional, creative and organized. I am constantly blown away by the designs she comes up with. If you're looking for a designer who listens to your needs, is a problem-solver and thinks outside the box, I would definitely recommend Sarah!

I had the opportunity to work with Sarah Bernard Designs in a home staging project. Her team were professional and I enjoyed working with them. Sarah as a designer is very experience and would definitely recommend her in any future interior design project or project remodel.

I'm so glad I found Sarah! My friend introduced us after his project was completed. Sarah is extremely knowledgeable and talented. She was able to create exactly what I wanted for my home. The level of detail and finishing of my new pieces are exquisite. I can't recommend Sarah and her staff highly enough.
