Since 1996, Savant Design Group has been known for their broad range of styles, attention to detail, and ability to create sophisticated, elegant, yet comfortable homes and commercial spaces. Using a fusion of classic and modern elements and interesting combinations of texture, pattern, and scale, we work with each client to create a space that reflects each client's personal taste and interests. We are a full service design firm based in Houston, as well as custom home builders. Cherie is a passionate interior designer, custom home builder, art collector, philanthropist, wife, mother, and dog-lover. Using a fusion of classical and modern elements and interesting combinations of texture, pattern, and scale, she works with her clients to create a space that reflects their personal taste and interests. Cherie enjoys assisting her clients in realizing their vision, whether that's building the home of their dreams, moving into a new office space, or remodeling a bedroom.

Cherie has amazing ideas and style and is able to execute flawlessly. She is extremely professional and enjoyable to work with, and always pays attention to even the smallest details. She is able to put forward a myriad of options, and easily discerns what will be the best choice. She helped me with the interior design and styling of my home, including furniture and accessories.

I found Savant Design Group on Houzz.com after interviewing several local Houston designers. From our first meeting, Cherie really listened to my desires and her vision and creativity have transformed our house into a home which is not only stunning but livable. She greatly exceeded our expectations!! On a personal level, Cherie was easy to work with and very personable and accessible. She has a calm demeanor and was very patient with my frequent questions. It truly was like working on a project with a friend. Her team of contractors are excellent, trustworthy and very professional. Remodeling, especially an extensive remodel (which ours was) is never easy but Cherie and her team made it relatively stress-free and uncomplicated. I would highly recommend Cherie and Savant Design Group to anyone considering a design project, whether a remodel or new build.

The home sold within the first week of being on the market while other homes in the area sat unsold for months. Not only did Cherie help me come in under budget, I truly feel her forward thinking in design choices really helped for a quick sale of the home. I highly recommend Cherie for any design project.

We purchased a new home from Cherie and we liked her from the first meeting. She was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of ideas for fixtures and finishes giving us the final say in what was chosen. We wanted a contemporary look with very clean lines and she worked hard to get us something that ultimately we are really pleased with. We got the impression that she really cared about her clients and went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy.

I have used Savant Design Group for the design of my house for over 10 years. Cherie has been involved starting from the blue prints to the finishing touches. She is as good at spatial design as she is at selecting the perfect furniture pieces. Cherie has a knack for incorporating antique design with the most modern finishes, which ultimately presents a timeless masterpiece.

Cherie transformed my dark and dull den into a beautiful garden room. My house is very traditional but Cherie added the perfect contemporary touches. The textiles are bright, unique and interesting. The room reflects my love of gardening and is my favorite room in the house. I love the fact that my den doesn't look like a cookie cutter design out of a magazine!

I have worked with Cherie Hassenflu and Savant Design Group on three home designs over the past eight years. Two new homes and one remodel. Her taste is impeccable and I rely on her completely for any project involving my home, from remodel to furniture selection. I have tremendous respect for her personally and professionally. Most recently, my firm has procured Savant Design Group for our build out of new office space. Ms. Hassenflu has overseen the space planning, design, color selections, materials and furniture selection for the entire space. Cherie has taken a daunting project and has made it a pleasant and fun adventure. She has worked efficiently within our budget, meeting every strained deadline! I simply would not plan a design project without Cherie Hassenflu and Savant Design Group!

I would highly recommend Savant Design Group for any and all of your design needs. Cherie Hassenflu is very creative, efficient and has a strong sense of taste in everything that she does. Cherie redid my living room which included picking out fabrics and designs for a new sofa, rug, chairs, ottoman and draperies. She was very quick and timely in every phase- When choosing fabrics, she picked out complete schemes and presented them to me. She has an incredible knowledge of color, fabric and construction of furniture and housing. She is a true professional!
