Sisters in Sync Design helped us through the entire process of our renovation - everything from ideas, to planning, to execution. Our style and needs were always taken into consideration and the vendors we worked with were professional and got the job done. What we thought would be an incredibly stressful time turned out to be fun and unexpected! Totally surpassed our expectations! We worked with Janine Shmuelevitz of SistersinSync a few years ago and decided to call upon her again to help us design the changes and manage the renovations in our house. Once again, working with Janine has been a great experience. Janine is a designer with outstanding taste and understanding for different textures, materials, and colours and how best to combine them transforming rooms to our vision. She is extremely pleasant and polite. She is a keen listener and quickly gained an acute perception of our wishes. She is detail-oriented and demands high-quality of all the trades. From a broad pool of material and service providers (all know her and have told us that they really like to work with Janine) she made our decision process a smooth and cost-effective one. She accompanied the implementation of every process and met the original schedule and agreed budget. Janine made our recent house renovation a great success. I had the pleasure of having Janine Shmuelevitz help me to completely redo two bathrooms, as well as make many other changes to our home; significant changes to our master bedroom, and important design changes to update our kitchen and sitting room. I have nothing but superlatives to say about Janine. She has a very strong aesthetic sense; I was extremely happy with her design advice and with her suggestions of materials, fabric, furniture, colour, etc. Janine understood our personal preferences, and didn’t impose her own, rather worked toward what she knew we would enjoy. Each time I was unsure about a suggestion she made, and I decided to trust her, I was happy I did. She was also completely reliable in terms of the commitments she made, from a time and cost perspective. And very importantly, I looked forward to meeting with Janine and always enjoyed the time we spent discussing and deciding on the changes….something which has not been my experience the past two times I have worked with interior designers. I recommend her highly.

I had the greatest pleasure working with Janine on a large renovation located in a very nice neighbourhood in downtown Toronto. I, as an Architectural designer, have learn a lot from this working relationship. Janine had a vision of the space from the first day we met at this run down and very challenging site. Her skills are complimented by her experience in the industry, and she was able to tie together 6,000 square feet of living space, by keeping a cohesive feel across all floors and a beatiful contemporary yet classic space.
