I was excited to remodel our kitchen but did not have a clear vision...and was afraid of making costly mistakes! Mary Miller of Sketches patiently listened to my concerns, asked probing questions and then made suggestions. She did not pressure me into the latest trend, but worked with me to find a look that worked for us. We love our new kitchen!

I had no idea what I was doing when we decided to renovate the kitchen. All I knew was that I wanted to remove a wall and have blue accents. Mary was encouraging and helped me see things through her eyes even though I was able to make the final decision. She helped me think outside my narrow box for things that would make the kitchen more efficient. She had me expand a doorway that made all the difference in the world! Mary was also available whenever the contractor ran into an issue. She was always a text away and responded quickly. I couldn't be happier, and she was fun to shop with. She definitely knows her products and will help you design your dream kitchen.

Mary Miller was instrumental in bringing our project to life! She broke the process into small, manageable tasks. It felt reassuring to know that she had the experience to guide us through each step, and kept us from getting overwhelmed with the number of choices and the size of the project. Having her saved us so much time and that was invaluable to me. I could trust her vision, and all the small decisions came together beautifully in the end. When there were times I wanted to veer from what she had proposed, she always made me feel that my ideas were valid and gave me advice on how to make my own choices. I love our new spaces and I know she was listening and collaborating with us the whole way! She gave great direction on cabinets, wall colors, countertops, and all the small details. I get so many compliments on it!

We started with a 25-year old dated, permanently mildewed, ugly master bathroom, and ended up with a gorgeous, modern, “can’t believe it’s ours” new space! This is all thanks to Mary Miller of Sketches, An interior View, who guided us from start to finish on a project we could never have done on our own. I started with some photos I liked on the Houzz site but beyond that had no idea what I wanted, or how to achieve the finished product and make sure all of my choices worked together. I talked to and met a few designers but none were as responsive to my first outreach, listened to what my husband and I were thinking, and gave me the confidence to move ahead until I met Mary. She was just so patient as my husband and I worked though our different design tastes in order to make choices, and she got me over my panic that things weren’t going to look good together or maybe I hadn’t looked at enough tile or faucets etc… Mary just knows everything about this business, from the overall grand design to the minuscule details about schluters (a word we had never heard before!), and was never at a loss as to questions both we and our contractor came up with. And she is so pleasant to work with! Always upbeat, always encouraging, always patient, and always on time! I honestly can’t believe we were able to hire someone of Mary’s caliber and with her depth of experience to help us with our bathroom renovation, but I am so glad we did. We found Sketches, An Interior View LLC through Houzz and couldn't be more pleased with the process and the results. Mary listened to our needs, budget, and concerns and was able to find something that fit all of them. She was not pushy on finding things that were more "designer" but instead guided us to find what really worked for us along the way. When issues popped up (as they always do), she was always on top of them before we even knew that she knew they happened. Overall, our project came in on budget and on time, and is better than we could have expected.

My husband and I wanted to refinish our master bathroom but I was putting it off because I had never done a home renovation before and had no idea where to start. I also was not thrilled about having to visit various showrooms, considering the pandemic and me being a mom of small kids. I contacted Mary on Houzz and within 72 hours we were chatting on the phone about the project. It was obvious that she knew what she was talking about and I already knew I loved her style, based on the pictures I saw on Houzz. We met in person, checkout out the space and she got to work immediately. I shared with her my ideas from Pinterest, she pulled items based on those ideas and brought them to my house. The process could not have been easier on my end. I literally did not have to leave my house once in order to look at anything related to my bathroom. She checked in at all of the right times, she handled communications with the contractor, she communicated flawlessly to me, she learned my schedule (with school drop offs and pickups) and made sure that she would be at my house, if that was needed. I could not have done it, kept my sanity, and continued being a good mom to my kids, without Mary. And, I am so obsessed with my bathroom!! I can’t say enough good things about the design and the quality of everything she picked out. It’s absolutely beautiful and I’ve received so many compliments on the design. I will definitely be contacting Mary for our future projects. She is the best.

Mary did an excellent job with offering up options when remodeling our bathroom. She worked with us to make the project our own and we were very happy with the results. She followed through to make sure the project was completed to our expectations. She is easy to work with and her opinions were very helpful.

We hired Mary to help with a first floor renovation as we love our home but our layout was lacking storage, function, and was very dark. She came up with some great ideas and helped connect us with quality professionals who did an amazing job. My husband and I have different taste and she was able to help bridge the divide and find finishes that suited both of our styles. We have done a few renovations in the past, and this one was by far the largest and easiest- well worth the investment to hire her. We are so thrilled with the result!

Mary Miller is exceptional. She listens and is able, with her exquisite taste, to create rooms that far exceeded my expectations. She oversaw every aspect of construction and decor of my three new bathrooms and my beautiful new master bedroom. I can recover without reservations. A+!

Mary impressed me from day one. She was prompt, attentive, and very professional. We were looking at other designers as well, but Mary made us feel as if our project was her only one. That continued for the entire process. Mary drew a nice balance of allowing us to make choices, but kept us from making poor ones. She truly has an eye for colors and designs. Mary's role was twofold. First, she was our designer, and second, the project manager. Mary made sure all of the contractors performed. Also, she only works with real pros. I was really impressed with everyone who came to our house. No worrying about drunks, druggies, or thieves. As a matter of fact, the workers were super guys. All in all we couldn't be more pleased. We made the right choice, and highly recommend Mary for your next project.

Mary completed an initial consultation in my home to get an idea of my preferred style and decor in other rooms. She was very thorough in contacting the appropriate contractors and seeing me through the process of remodeling my kitchen. With her help, we came in just under budget and I am loving my new kitchen!!
