We used Speas Interior Design for our new home construction in the 2020 and 2021 time frame. Speas handled not only interior design and materials selection, but they also handled a significant amount of our interior decorating work. Interior design work included flooring selections (tile and hardwood), countertops, built-ins, window coverings, paint colors....the list goes on. Interior decorating including artwork, furniture, lighting/lamps, rugs, artwork, and so forth. Courtney and team scheduled and attended many time-consuming and detailed meetings. We tend to be detail-oriented clients, and Speas did a great job of tracking the myriad details, helping with alternative selections (this was during the COVID supply chain mess), and ensuring that suppliers and installers delivered on schedule. Speas also interfaced well with our construction superintendent to ensure that selections and installations were compatible and coordinated with our new home construction. We were very pleased with Courtney and team, and would not hesitate to recommend them for interior design, decorating, or both.

We are saddened to hear about your disappointment with us, especially after working together for over three years, on multiple projects. We are unclear on what warranty item you had to pay for, as we cannot find any charges in our records. Throughout the entire warranty period we took care of any defects that you brought to our attention. While we regret the bamboo wallpaper in your Powder Room had finish problems due to our dry Colorado climate, we refunded your money in full and refurbished the wallpaper. As of a couple of days ago when I was at your home it was still up and looking good.
Our Subcontractors and Artisans that your so generously gave a catered party for at your home, still talk about how wonderful it was to work for you. You seemed to appreciate their craftsmanship and the many hours of hard work. We are at a loss that you now don’t care for them. We assumed you were happy and delighted with the outcome of the project as you requested our professional photographs, so you could submit them in your neighborhood publication.
