My partner and I were renovating an investment property in East Portland. It was a grand house, but hadn't been touched for decades other than by squatters. I was intimidated by the undertaking, particularly since I felt the need to produce an end result that would not only sell but that would fit the upscale neighborhood. Our budget for design was tight as there was an awful lot of fundamental rehab work. I shopped around for design help and found Staci. Not only was her rate reasonable, and the photos of her previous work very appealing, but she herself (by email, and later in person) was extremely personable and unpretentious. Furthermore, her whole business plan, right down to the name of her company, seemed suited to the design work I was looking for. When we started work together, Staci proved to be very professional (punctual, prompt and reliable). She was patient with my hesitations and really listened to what I was (and wasn't) saying. I decided to use her help in planning paint colors for the entire property as well as finishes for the kitchen and bathrooms. It turned out that her color choices were spot on -creating an inviting, smooth and elegant palette -just what I was asking for. Regarding the finishes, Staci was generally very attentive to budget. Maybe carried away by the beauty of the materials, she did make a couple of forays into the higher-than-comfortable-for-me range, but in all fairness I never presented her with an actual budget, just a general impression. She quickly negated those choices and moved on to the next. In general, the one or two times where I asked for/presented some changes Staci was gracious and welcoming and easily fit those changes into our scheme. I was really pleased with the whole experience as well as the outcome. I obviously enjoyed working with Staci. I also feel that she would be up to any job. She obviously loves design work, and is VERY good at it. I won't hesitate to call on her again.

Staci is a go-getter when it comes to showing up and working with clients. She has a good rapport with clients and real estate agents (me) and is terrific at follow-up. I really appreciate how she stays in touch and makes sure a job is down right and to everyone's satisfaction.
