Steph Nash Decor + Interior Design

Working with Steph has been phenomenal as we embarked on our first massive remodel in Tahoe. I don’t know how we would have managed without her guidance. First off, Steph has incredible vision. From the first meeting, she immediately clued in on our aesthetic vision, suggesting the use of organic materials to bring the outside in, and recommending a color palette to make subsequent choices easy. In addition, she recognized that since we were building the home as a vacation home + rental, that we would need to make some choices to accommodate this use case. For example, she suggested we use vinyl wall covering in the staircase to prevent scratches from luggage. Brilliant! As the project went on, we found that we would need Steph’s services beyond just interiors. We had inherited the project from the previous owners, and it was clear that some of their initial choices would not work for us. Fortunately, Steph also offers interior architecture services, and was able to reconfigure our interior plan to ensure we could add a 4th bedroom, and a full 3rd bath. She then finalized the plans for submission to the county! Finally, Steph’s team expertly helped us choose furnishings and accessories that would stand the test of time (and many many renters). I will be the first to admit that I am very picky when it comes to decor. The time was styled the home in a perfect modern style, and Steph always collaboratively took all of our design requests into consideration. Walking into the home after the had fully styled it was a true HGTV moment. I would welcome any opportunity to opportunity to work with Steph again. I am already thinking through how we could engage her on future remodels of our primary residence!

I needed help decorating my master bedroom and home office, so I chose the Décor Package. Going through the process virtually worked great! Following our initial consultation Stephenie provided clear instructions on what was needed in the Welcome Packet; inspirational photos, measurements, preferences, photos of the rooms etc. From there the process was hands off and I was very impressed by how organized and simple it was. In particular the materials that were provided; CAD drawings, design presentations, and cost estimates/specs, made the designs very easy to visualize and implement. They are awesome tools that you will want to hold onto and reference until your project is complete. Stephenie is very knowledgeable and talented and she understood my style completely! I especially want to call out her patience with my indecisiveness . She was wonderful to work with and I will miss our Zoom meetings!

We were so impressed with what Stephanie and Daystar did for us that we decided we couldn't wait on a renovating a second room. She is incredible at pairing your style preferences with creative materials and a multi-dimensional design. Each room went from an empty shell to a layered, creative space. She stands behind her contractors and makes sure the work is done right. We will definitely bring back Daystar for our future design needs.

We just worked with Daystar Design Lab to remodel our kitchen, bathroom, stairs, hallways, and laundry room. We worked with Stephenie and John. Stephenie did all of the interior design and was absolutely fantastic! She has amazing vision and the execution is much better than we had ever hoped when we stared working with Daystar. Stephenie and John have clever ideas that we would never have come up with on our own. I would absolutely recommend Daystar. There's still more we want to do to our house and we'll be going back to Daystar for any future work!

I recently completed a six month, six figure repair, rehab and remodel project on an old historic property that has a 3 bed / 2 bath main house and an 850 square foot guest house with a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. This project was not about cosmetic upgrades. We tore the guest house down to the studs and put it back together. The baths and kitchen in the main house were also taken down to the frame and rebuilt as new. In all, Daystar Design Lab was given the task of designing and coordinating the construction of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and two kitchens along with new flooring throughout, new stonework for the fireplace and interior/exterior paint schemes. I began our working relationship by touring another house the team had just completed prior to my project. Very happy with what I saw and the budget they had used, I then selected examples of existing design styles from online sources and communicated to the team what I liked or didn't like about them. I found Daystar Design Lab easy to work with and excellent communicators. They listened carefully and asked the right questions. Frankly, design is not my strong suit and I didn't want to be involved in every design decision. Having seen examples of their work and having communicated my style preferences, I had complete confidence in the their ability. They were told they would have full authority to come up with designs and implement them as they saw fit. I am still in awe at the results given the budget I had and could not be happier!

My experience with Stephanie Nash was wonderful. It was difficult to imagine giving up so much power to another person but within a very short time I felt comfortable with her suggestions so the project could quickly move foreword. After a brief visit in our home she assembled ideas for each of the bathrooms and returned with materials that blended beautifully. After two years, the quality of these materials has been easily maintained and each of the rooms looks amazing. A tile color in the master bath concerned me but she reassured me that the darker color was the better choice. She was right and that conversation crosses my mind at least once a week. The craftsmen she assembled were definitely professional, always covering my floors and cleaning up each evening. I can hardly wait until I can call her again!

The work this company did was absolutely amazing. They completely transformed by bedroom and walk in closet. Not only did they incorporate my husband and I throughout the room, but they were sure to take into consideration colors and styles we like. Our room is now one of the most refreshing rooms in our home!

We undertook a lengthy remodel of our home in an upscale, gated community in Scottsdale, Arizona. After consulting/interviewing with 4 separate firms, we hired Daystar as our designer. We were MORE than satisfied with the highly talented and professional approach we experienced from the first meeting, right through to the conclusion of the 8 month project. (We were also impressed by the constant attempt by Daystar to keep the project reasonably within budget). The final results were beyond our highest expectations. The style, the colors, the flooring, the accents: All perfect! We (and all our friends) love our house and would HIGHLY recommend Daystar Design Lab to anyone undertaking a project, big or small.
