The project was completed successfully, on-time and within our budget. What is special about Steven's approach is he truly wants to execute YOUR vision. He's a GREAT listener and he knows how to take your ideas and elevate them! We consider him a genius at pulling together unique pieces for a cohesive, show-stopping look. He is also one of the best listeners we have ever met. He remembered ever detail of what we wanted and all our preferences. On the day we saw our finished project, the joy we felt was overwhelming because we could see the thought that went into every element of the design. Our condo was now everything we wanted BUT SO MUCH BETTER. For construction execution, if you appreciate not having to micromanage a project and desire a vendor partner you can trust, you are in good hands with Steven and his team. Each professional he engaged in our project was efficient, thoughtful and responsive. He has the right people who are in sync with his design and service philosophy. I recently embarked on refurbishing my home and didn't quite know how to get started. Thankfully a good friend referred me to Steven and it was the start of a flourishing design relationship. He has such great insight and perspective on the elements of what it takes to execute a great project. From furniture pieces to paint selection, the whole endeavor was made easier, (and I actually learned a great deal and ultimately enjoyed the process), thanks to Steven. From our initial meeting to on-going communication and budgeting, he had the knowledge and expertise to bring our remodel to fruition. I met Steven through a great friend of mine who is an interior designer. I had been living in NYC working for Garren NYC doing hairdressing for fashion shoots with a concentration on celebrity. Through this career I had the pleasure to travel the world and contribute to photo shoots in some of the most sophisticated and elegant settings imaginable…a true fantasy. When my mothers health declined, I moved to the south to help with her care giving. I decided I wanted a live/work compound and planned to build it on family property which was basically unspoiled farm land. I had the idea to put a modern structure that would accommodate both of my passions which are creating/art directing photographic sittings as well as a small but jewel box setting for the salon and finally combined with a small but effortlessly chic living quarters. My friend has exquisite taste and gets me totally and he is the man I bounce all decorating ideas off of mainly just to keep me on track. I love minimal and elegant sophistication yet I love everything to have function and I hate wasted square footage(except for my clothing closet). I also have an eccentric personality which we southerners celebrate and I am admittedly very stubborn. When I was telling my friend about this idea he asked if I would mind if he collaborated with a new colleague he had met to realize my vision. Frankly, I was surprised as well as curious. We both have high exposure to the latest design and fashion houses and are quite comfortable doing it ourselves so I knew there must be something really special behind this idea. NEVER had he wanted to involve other talent so I was on board for his new friend. Special does not even begin to describe the creative talent and brilliance inside the mind of Steven Marusarz. When I was emailed what Steven indicated were “simple preliminary thoughts about how to translate my vision to reality. “…I simply could not believe what I was experiencing. It would not be fair to say I’m jaded in any way, but make no mistake that I have been around the block and worked with the top art directors in NYC and when I saw how Steven interpreted my ideas I literally had tears in my eyes …I have strong opinions and and consider myself well rounded in architectural knowledge but the freshness in Steven’s approach and the sensitivity he had to each individual idea simply left me without words. I honestly have never worked with anyone else who not only heard and understood my ideas… but literally addressed every desire and improved it by making each application functional as well as esthetically beautiful while keeping the vibe simplistic and effortlessly glamorous with a handsome undertone. My favorite characteristic I learned was his hard working, humble and caring nature. I urge anyone who desires elegant and practical design to do themselves a favor and have the pleasure to work with this genius.

Steven is the most hands on, attentive, and eclectic person to work with when arranging your space. He builds relationships with each of his clients and caters to all of the nuances he finds in them. He pairs pieces together into a space that makes each nuance a moment, therefore making your home truly feel like it's yours. Steven has years of experience, so his designs stay on trend but there's always small bits of traditional charm that really warms the space. Highly recommend!

We initially interviewed several designers after purchasing a new 6000 SF home. It was challenging because we were not bringing any of our old furniture and were not sure how the process or final product would look. We went with our gut feeling and would never design another home without Steven by our side. He is absolutely amazing, hard-working, and honest. He gave every room its own look that made the entire home whole. He knew the answer to every call, text, or email and responded in a very timely matter, whether Monday morning or Sunday evening. He knew when each piece of furniture was shipping and exactly where it belonged when it arrived. He has a great system and knows exactly what he is doing. He designs every room in a way where you never want to leave the room!

Steven is a truly talented designer. I can’t say enough incredible things about him He is professional, reasonable, and easy to work with. He did excellent work on my new house. It was my first time hiring an interior designer, so I was really nervous, but he made the process easy and fun. He really accomplished what I was looking for and much more. It was a great experience, and I’m so thankful to gain a friend at the end of it.
