Stone & Associates is a privately owned, full service, award winning design studio established in 1978 based in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. We foster a collaborative studio environment to stimulate & develop ideas with a mix of experience and youth. With a practical approach to planning we equally facilitate traditional and modern styles with an eye for unique details to create inviting and livable interiors. The practice has a strong background in the execution of high quality residential and commercial interiors. We are registered professionals with the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), as well as being Licensed with the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing with BCIN certification for large and small buildings. With over 35 years of experience our strong relationships with vendors and contractors help us bring projects of all sizes and complexity to fruition. Regardless of scale, all projects receive the same high level of creativity, professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to quality. Bryan has been interested in residential design beginning at a young age. He started working at Stone & Associates in 1992 and then took over this family business in 2000. He's passionate about what he does because no project is ever the same. "Every day is different, we problem solve creatively and that's what makes the job fun. Every problem is going to be different, every solution is going to be different and being able to put together all of the pieces and constructing it is what makes it worth it."

We have had a truly fantastic experience working with Bryan on our house renovation. Bryan is a brilliant designer with a vast knowledge of modern trends. He immediately understood our style and preferences, and even made us feel as this is his favorite style as well (which may or may not be true :))! Bryan not only met our expectations but easily surpassed them suggesting lovely elements that we would not have thought of ourselves. Bryan also brought in a great team of tradesmen and visited the site almost every day to supervise the job being done. The renovation came out beautifully and we are thrilled with our new space. Thank you Bryan, it was a pleasure!

Excellent project management and execution. Very tight timeline and the project was completed on time and within budget. Design was modern and functional. This was a corporate boardroom that desperately needed an update. We will utilize this room for many years to come.

We live overseas and have had four sets of tenants living in our family home over the years. We still loved our home, but it was tired and the kitchen and bathrooms were outdated. I met with Bryan back in the Fall armed with a fistful of magazine clippings which I had been collecting for years. Bryan helped me to visualize my dreams, presenting me with two budgets to choose from to actualize our project. He was patient throughout the whole process, helping me choose finishes, colours and even appliances and then oversaw the whole project while we were still out of town. I came home to a kitchen that was more wonderful that I could ever have imagined and all the work that was done in the house (painting, refinishing hardwood floors, changing of hardware, partial update of bathrooms) was done to the highest standards. Yes, there were a couple of little issues that needed to be dealt with afterwards but Bryan had his trades come in and everything was dealt with in a timely manner. Bryan was always respectful of our tastes and our wishes and he was always in communication about even the smallest issues. In my research I've read of budget over runs, and the only thing that was over budget was when they tore out the bathroom drywall and they found mold; of course, I wanted that dealt with properly. And yes, there is a design fee involved but Bryan and his team were worth it. We're so happy with the end result. Thank you! Now if only Bryan would come over and help me empty the moving boxes.

Stone & Associates gave our nondescript mid-century modern home a stylish external facelift, specifying materials and colours from roof to foundation. Custom sapele wood doors at the entrance and garage stretched our original thinking, but the impact is well worth it. Bryan Stone accommodated our budget and met every deadline with high quality workmanship from all of his contractors. Katherine chose the perfect paint colours. Both were a pleasure to work with. Bryan and his team are awesome! I could not have asked for a better designer. We were moving from Boston, MA to Santa Monica, CA and trying to decorate our new place from a far. Bryan made this so easy. Everything from sending me the initial plans by email and re-sending plans with changes all the way through to installation. Everything was done timely and to my liking even though I could not be on location. I was more than happy when I walked into my new place, fully painted and decorated to my liking. It was what I had pictured in my head only better. I definitely would recommend Bryan and his team to everyone. Thanks Bryan, we love our new place!

Stone & Associates took our old outdated itty-bitty cafe and turned it into the jewel of Main Street. We are thrilled at the transformation of our space. Our grand opening was a wild success and I owe it to the master plan created by Stone & Associates. Our initial meeting was professional and stress-free, we had the chance to tell our story and we felt Bryan & Brooke truly got down to "the why" behind our business. Stone & Associates came up with the look, the name, the feel & the design of our space that 100% matched our desires and dreams. Stone & Associates came up with that "sizzle", that "wow" factor we truly wanted but didn't know how to describe. They helped us source vendors with the products they chose or walked beside us all the way through the construction phase. Bryan Stone & his team were hired to completely re-imagine the office space for our company at its current location in order to maximize its usefulness & accommodate a growing staff. Their knowledge, creativity, diplomacy and responsiveness took the project from computer screen to reality on budget & on time with a minimum amount of disruption to our day-to-day business. Yes; there were some hitches along the way to completion, but Bryan’s problem-solving & diplomatic skills were more than up to the challenges whether he was dealing us (as clients & leaseholders); suppliers/contractors, or; the property owners.
