Everyone loves her- from contractors, vendors we bought materials from, to our family. She is Mimi to my children and the reason I wanted to become a designer. She made ripping apart our home fun instead of a headache. If you live in San Diego and looking for a designer, working with Terri is a privilege. She knows her stuff- and you can relax and know that you're in the best possible hands. She introduced us to the most amazing custom tiles to hand dyed textiles which all made our home what it is today, and have helped shape the way I design now.

Terry's architectural and construction knowledge were invaluable, particularly when the plans were lacking in many details. Terry and her team have been instrumental in the design and construction of our life. Her extensive experience and knowledge with construction and architecture, Lord with color, fabric I can't even tell you what else except everything helped in directing us from start to finish with products that are wonderful. She understood our vision for our home (probably before we did) and added different touches and features to bring that vision to life that we didn't even know we wanted. She worked closely with our architect on our first project (who was who suggested we interview her) and contractor on every aspect. She was an integral part of the design. Terry and her staff were always available to us as well as to our construction team, which make projects really grow. Our first project was a second home out of town, where my husband and I were visiting every month or so while it was being designed and constructed. Her team worked closely with the AIA and contractor/superintendent to follow through on things we had said were important. The quality of the end product was perfect. From there, we asked her to come to our home town to help us with a teardown of our main home and we ended up bringing our original AIA here (now he was out of town) and produced an incredible home. We had an odd lot on a bayou that both ASID (Terry) and AIA worked out an incredible plan. Both worked with our local contractor to help and revise the project as we moved along to produce an incredible home. What I have appreciated is that Terry came into our jobs trying to make our household work in the new one: she didn't insist (as many designers do) that we get rid of this and that, but worked to incorporate our things into the design of the project. One of her greatest attributes is in advising us that we don't need to necessarily do all that we think we do. She is very cost conscious and will many times advise that we don't need to spend on X because it won't be worth the money spent. Or, conversely, if you do Y you will get a maximum bang for the buck. Yes, a husband who enjoys a new project invited her to come check out a very modest "Fish Camp" and Terry recommend the minimal effort. Alas, we are working on that one now. She is a hard worker, a diligent researcher and produces whatever direction one seems to fly. I can't recommend her any further than that. She has an innate ability to pull out the result one doesn't even know one wants as well as realize the dream one has had.

Terry and her staff are an absolute delight. Terry is a very talented designer and I have greatly enjoyed working with her. She gets along well with our architect and builder, and her network of artisans is amazing. I would highly recommend her and it will be the best decision that you will make for your project.

Terry and her design staff have the perfect combination of creativity, professionalism and that personal touch that enables clients and vendors to be part of an effective collaborative team.
