Sue Monday's Design

I really feel that meeting Sue Monday was an answer to my prayers. Sue and her crew at the Lincoln Lowe’s store made my home remodeling experience such a positive one. Sue came to my home and agreed that my 25 year old kitchen and bathrooms really needed an upgrade. I told her I wanted a beach cottage look. I think with Sue’s expertise, we achieved it with white shaker cabinets, rustic floors, natural woven window treatments, and subtle gray green walls. We also added a bit of elegance to the beach look with beautiful marble looking quartz countertops in the kitchen. In the bathrooms we went with recycled glass countertops in ocean hues of gray blue, sand, and iridescent white. I’m so pleased that Sue chose the transparent white glass subway tiles as the backsplash in the kitchen. The tiles, the abundance of lighting and the stainless steel appliances just make the kitchen sparkle. Sue helped me choose the bronze hardware and the brushed nickel faucet to avoid the everything has to match look. Sue successfully arranged the removal of the wall between the kitchen and dining area which really opened up the space. Sheraul the general contractor did such a beautiful job of patching the ceiling that you would never have known a wall was ever there. Now when you come into my home the first things you’ll notice are the charming glass enclosed cabinet and the very functional peninsula with the decorative pulls. Thanks to Sue my bathrooms are now my own private retreats. I am so glad I listened to Sue’s advice to go with the silver framed mirrors in both bathrooms. They not only add a touch of elegance but they beautifully complement the light fixtures and the brushed nickel hardware. I’m so pleased we went with the low maintenance marble like porcelain tiles on walls of tub/shower in the guest bathroom. Sue successfully achieved a spa look in the master bathroom by using the same wood grain porcelain tiles on the shower walls and floors. She also selected a shower system which includes a gentle rain showerhead, body jets and a multi-functioning handheld shower wand. I just love it! Sue is also a gifted decorator. She picked out the elegant contemporary pendant lighting in my dining area and put together two amazing beach inspired floral arrangements. She also created an impressive gallery of pictures on my wall and advised me on other decorative additions. Sue says she loves what she does and she truly shows it in so many levels. Sue Monday not only made remodeling my home a pleasant experience but she made it fun. She really went out of her way to please me, whether it was to drive me to a vendor, bring products to my home or to inform me when an item was going on sale. She did all of this while meeting my goals and deadlines. I have to commend the management at the Lincoln Lowe’s store for having an invaluable knowledgeable professional like Sue Monday, and the amazing crew that works with her Thank you Sue Monday, your manager and crew for a wonderful experience and making my home a place I can truly be proud of for years to come.

Sue Monday provided her excellent expertise to the remodel of our kitchen, specifically with the cabinetry. Beginning with colors and woods and finishes, she steered us away from an original idea we had that would have had clashing textures and colors. Now we have a very synthetic whole composed of hickory in a light white glaze on the sink side, along with an island in cherry wood with a distressed grey finish. She spent countless hours helping me choose coves, baseboards, and interior mechanisms. I believe that for around $20,000 with the Schuler brand semi-custom cabinets at Lowe's for a 10' lineal kitchen with uppers, lowers, and a large island, you would pay $35,000 if you tried to receive the same level of customer service that Sue gladly provided.

I’m writing to express my appreciation for the outstanding job that Lowes employee Sue Monday – who works at the Elk Grove, CA store, did for me on my recent custom kitchen, laundry, dining room renovation project of my family’s historic 1915 home. When I first encountered Sue at Lowes, I knew I wanted her to be my designer. I was so impressed with her industry knowledge that she shared with me on our first meeting and also her willingness to make sure that I could obtain what I was looking for…even if it meant sending me to compare with another competitor. Friendliness and professionalism were added first impressions that never failed to prevail throughout my dealing with Sue. Fast-acting and responsible were more amazing qualities I saw in her when she came to my home for a site quote visit. She was willing to listen to my ideas and offer suggestions that ultimately ended in Lowes becoming the company that would make my dream kitchen and laundry renovation come to fruition. Once on board with my design choices and purchases, Sue made me feel confident that I was getting the best value for my investment. Her attention to the smallest of details never went unnoticed when an issue came up (and they were happening at a fast and furious pace). Sue made sure the entire project was handled in a timely manner and also held the vendors (there were many) responsible for their actions. Fair and creative are qualities I would associate with Sue Monday through her managing a customer/vendor issue – when it came to a factory miscommunication or a machine error on my order. I always felt that I was a VIP customer at Lowes and that Sue made sure that I was completely satisfied with my contracted work through Lowes. Sue Monday helped us remodel our kitchen 6 years ago. We were very pleased with the results, and rehired her to work on 2 other bedroom projects. She is very professional, great with colors and style, and has many useful connections in the community to help locate quality products and services. Sue is always available by phone, email or text to answer ongoing questions, and we would not hesitate to recommend her for any home redecorating project.

Sue looked at the existing space in our kitchen and immediately had a plethora of ideas on how to maximize the space. She suggested that we have the dropped ceiling removed, which ended up increasing the cabinet space by over30%. She saw the minimal amount of drawer space and increased that by over 70% in her design. Sue was able to come up with a cabinet in a corner that was previously wasted space. We especially appreciated how attentive and responsive Sue was to our needs and budget restraints. She worked with the contractors making sure work was done on schedule and accomplishing what we wanted. Sue is all about customer service and making sure the client gets what the results they are expecting. We could not be happier with the end result, we got a beautiful new kitchen that has become the show place of our home.
