Summerland Homes and Gardens made designing my house--even from 200 miles away--fun! Their impeccable taste and "I've-got-your-back" spirit, quickly made this less of a project and more like a sisterly partnership. They brought a fabulous fresh aesthetic to my 250-year-old house always welcoming my own ideas along the way. The result is a house that feels like a home--both stunning and comfortable, delivered on time and on budget. In fact, Summerland Homes and Gardens actually saved me both time and money, helping me avoid several potentially costly mistakes. Elle knows her plants and just how to arrange them. Right now we have been working on our not so great yard…older plantings…some need to go and some may stay. One step at a time, and Elle is happy to do our project that way. In the meantime she has brightened up the pool area with some new perennials and, for full summer color, some annuals. Her design skills with pots and window boxes have made all the difference.

Michelle's expertise was invaluable in my "Contemporary Bathroom Renovation" as labelled on her project pictures. I had been thinking about this renovation for (seriously) 20 years. When it was finally time to make it happen, I realized I just didn't have the skills, talent or time to transform my 1970's bathroom (the "before" pictures are comical) into the "dream bathroom" I had envisioned. I was overwhelmed just by the logistics. Michelle stepped in and not only made everything come together, but her eye for color, style, scale, and the intangibles that have no words - created this beautiful room and gave me a great appreciation for her talent. Michelle's attention to detail - and to making sure she was designing a room that I would love, was just amazing. As a true "Type A" person, I appreciated her tact in gently persuading me to consider style options I would not have otherwise - saving me from making what would have been poor choices. She coordinated with the supply house, the contractor, the counter guys, everyone so all I had to do was give my OK to specific color and fabric choices - any of which would have looked beautiful. Honestly, the pictures really don't do it justice - when the morning light comes in through the windows, my bathroom is stunning.

We couldn’t be happier with the design work that Michelle put together for us on our bathroom renovation. This project had been on our to-do list for a few years. We were overwhelmed looking at tiles and trying to imagine how everything would look together. The only decision I had made was to pull out the tub and put in a walk in shower. Michelle’s exploration of our likes and dislikes/setting goals really put us on track. Her expertise on what would look great together really paid off. The transformation was incredible. A small bathroom now seems ample and has the soft tranquil look we wanted!

Michele is extremely detail oriented and meticulous in her work which is exactly what you want when you are hiring someone to design and oversee a complete transformation like the one accomplished at my home.
