Susie Mae Design

We used Susie for a virtual redecoration of several rooms in our house. She was super easy to work with, returned messages, and provided an amazing plan. The plan incorporated lots of things that we liked and pushed us a little out of our comfort zone too. I’ve already recommended her to several friends!

I love the designs created for our family room and breakfast room. It really captured our style and blended with the style and age of our home. She understood what was most important to us and delivered. Susie has been incredible with timely responses and proactive communication. We could not be more thrilled with our project and look forward to doing additional rooms with her.

I hired Susie Mae Design to help me with a cosmetic overhaul and staging on a rental house I had for sale in December, 2019. I wanted to find a good balance between budget friendly and staged appropriately for the market value and asking price of the house. Susie and I first decided which colors we should use on the interior walls and aging front door (which was stained but faded) to modernize and open up the look of an otherwise small-roomed house. After the painting was done, we "shopped" for staging items in my own home, then she complemented those with items purchased from local stores. Finally she sourced some more high-end decor items to liven up the decor with some finishing touches. Not only did she select the items, she also shopped and delivered all of the items from the store, set up and arranged the furniture and kept me informed all along the way with the progress of the project. She was totally self-directed and self motivated, hitting all of our timelines and getting the house staged so ultimately we were able to sell by the end of the year. I plan to hire her for my personal home remodel and have already referred her to several other people in our neighborhood.

Susie did some design work for us in 2018 and also does or in-home Christmas Decorations. Susie and her Team are First Class and we trust them completely. We'll continue to use Susie during the coming years...

Working with Susie was fun! I enjoyed the process because she was so patient and listened really well. My husband and I both had ideas and opinions about the spaces we were working on. She was able to put together the look and feel and functionality we were going for and we both ended up so pleased with the finished product!

Susie was absolutely wonderful to work with; very warm, friendly, professional, and the rooms turned out beautifully! She helped us to redecorate our family room, kitchen and breakfast area by helping to select paint colors, light fixtures, recover furniture and select appropriate fabrics, choose window treatments, and arrange shelving. She listened to what we wanted and worked with what we had, while also finding some new pieces, and the result looks great!

Susie designed, sourced, and coordinated contractors for a complete design of my master bedroom and bath and patio. Her vision for my retreat and her execution was incredible! She took me out of my bland comfort zone and gave me a gorgeous space just like the ones I have gotten big-eyed over when I surf the Houzz website! I have a very busy work schedule so my availability is limited, but Susie kept the project moving a right a long. I cannot wait to work with her on the men big project!
