Janice (owner) is the best! No project is too big or small. She makes you feel like you are top priority. We did a small project, painting of kitchen cabinets and a tile backsplash. It was a project I wanted to do for years but could never pull together without a professional. The results are outstanding! It's amazing how a smaller job can transform a kitchen. She guided us every step of the way and was able to give her professional input without being overpowering.

As Sweetwater Design's owner and designer, she has helped me decorate my home for almost 20 years which included primarily the selection of furniture, accessories, window treatments, as well as wall and floor coverings. I have truly appreciated her patience and positive attitude. Her creativity and ideas inspired me to look at my projects differently. Janice provided contractors who completed their jobs responsibly and in keeping with my budget and timelines. Janice was prompt for our meetings in my home and other locations. She has advocated on my behalf with vendors when needed. I love the look of the most recent project to update our main bathroom and anticipate other projects with Sweetwater Design.

When I downsized and moved to the area several years ago I knew I was going to need help in decorating the house. I found Sweetwater Design online and am so glad that I did! Janice helped me with arranging furniture, hanging pictures, ordering and installing drapes as well as purchasing rugs. When I say she purchased rugs it does not do justice to all the work she did. She made several trips to the house with different rugs until finding the ones we would be happy with. She made selections for paint and fabrics that I would never have dreamed of using; yet I love everything she picked and have gotten many compliments on her selections. Recently I decided I needed more new draperies and some kitchen ideas. After spending time looking at catalogs and pricing what I wanted, Janice suggested she thought she could do better on pricing by having her company make them. They turned out to be exactly what I wanted. All the suggestions she provided for the kitchen also proved most helpful. I actually purchased my own new lighting fixtures for the kitchen and dining area and Janice handled the installation of these. I can't say enough good things about her design skills and her willingness to work with you. She even got my husband involved at helping to select rugs and fabric. That is close to a miracle. I have recommended Sweetwater Designs to many of my friends and neighbors. And, although my projects were probably very small compared to other things she does, she gave me just as much attention and care as a larger project.

Our home renovation included a new kitchen, family room, laundry room and hardwood flooring in the powder room and hallway. We used the same layout for the kitchen except for taking down a half wall and used our same, fairly new appliances. Thanks to Sweetwater Design the entire project was a huge success. We had heard from other clients who used the company how flexible they were and we certainly found this to be true. Janice, owner of SD, listened to what we wanted, got to know our style and then used her expertise to make it all come together. We appreciated Janice's honesty and the manner in which she was able to guide our selections to achieve the best possible outcome. Once the decisions as to flooring, cabinets, etc. were made Janice managed all the contractors involved with the makeover. We had Janice select all the contractors except for the plumber since we wanted to use our own. All the contractors were extremely professional and very hardworking. They worked full days and sometimes came on weekends. We continue to be thrilled and amazed by the results. We definitely recommend Sweetwater Design for your next project!

We completely remodeled our master bedroom and bath, including repurposing some of the space to create a second floor laundry. Janice, the owner and designer, was very patient with us as we worked to find a plan that appealed to us. We particularly enjoyed working with her during the selection phase, such as choosing tiles, patterns, fabrics, carpets and art work. In the end the new space is perfectly suited to both our functional needs and our design style.

Janice of Sweetwater Design was incredible. She helped update several rooms in my house. She is extremely creative, a good listener and a font of excellent ideas. She has a wonderful eye for fabrics and textures that sing together! She was able to design a large armoire for our bedroom working with a craftsman to build it. It was just spectacular and full of creative little nooks that are so practical. She found wonderful furniture, suggested and window treatments that were extraordinary and helped me expand my thinking about what was possible in a space. She is very in tune with your budget and will look for lots of options to select from. She is wonderful to deal with and receives my highest recommendation for all aspects of design.

We've worked with Janice for years on design consultations. The master bathroom remodel is the biggest project yet. She designed the bathroom after listening to our wants. She talked us into closing a window where the shower would be, and it was the best decision. She also picked out the tiles and colors. It is beautiful.
