Their ability to take your vision, conceptualize it, the creativity, agility to make changes throughout the design process, and then how they execute on projects is outstanding. Our Story: The home we purchased was new construction, although new we felt it lacked character, charm, and didn’t reflect us as people. We started to explore varies designers, looking at their portfolios, and meeting with them. Luckily for us we stumbled across Swell Designs social media, we met them, and reviewed their portfolio - their work was exceptional, with small details that we knew reflected who their clients were. Over the last three years we have worked with Katy and Elissa to reimagine our home. They have redesigned our first floor (consists of bonus room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen extension, family room and part of our second floor (master bedroom, stairwell, and hallway). We redid our floors, painted, changed hardware, updated light fixtures, custom shelving, stunning wallpaper, tile, furnished the home, and most recently they styled our home. The styling was the finishing touch of making it a “home”, a place that we already loved because of the changes they made, and now one that brings us joy as soon as we walk through the front door. We cannot wait to continue working with Swell Design to finish our upstairs and one day our basement. Katy + Elissa listen, care, are phenomenal at what they do, and are two amazing women. We have had a phenomenal experience with Swell Design Co. Elissa and Katy transformed the bathroom on the main floor of our house into an amazingly vibrant and revitalized space. Literally every time I walk in there I smile at the result. These ladies have great insight on style and design and gave great attention to how every small detail came together to create the room. They listened carefully to things we liked or disliked and came up with a design board and then a finished product that captures both our personality and their impeccable style. I was so inspired by the transformation of this small bathroom that I began to consider other untapped potential around the house. Elissa and Katy are now helping us with an overhaul of the house exterior as well as our outdoor living space, and I can't wait to see the finished product!
