We completed our kitchen and dining room remodel with Syntha one year ago, and we love the final result as much or more now than the day it was completed. Syntha was with us every step of the way in designing and completing our kitchen remodel. After an initial consultation where we discussed some of our general likes and dislikes and what features were important to us for our master bathroom remodel project, she proposed several ideas for our layout that we had not considered and fixture and tile selections that were in line with our style. Syntha Harris is the ultimate professional - patient, incredibly creative, and open and sensitive to my likes and dislikes. She never tried to force her style on me, but took what I wanted and created a unique and special home that I never could have come up with on my own. As a bachelor with little experience in home decorating, she guided me through the process of design and handled everything, beginning with design concepts through selections of furniture, carpeting, draperies, paint colors and accessories. She was also able to incorporate many of the furnishings which I already owned, which obviously helped with the budget. She took care of the unforeseen problems which inevitably occur in any project with optimism and efficiency. She worked directly with subcontractors as questions arose. In short, she is not only talented but a delight to work with. The project consisted of the entire main level of my new home, including bathrooms. I hired Syntha Harris of Storybook Rooms to help me with the design and decoration of my new condo. She was wonderful to work with. Very creative, open to listening to my ideas and thoughts about the project and assisted me in understanding the design process. We began with some renovation and updates and then added colors, furnishings and accessories.. Ms. Harris created a floor plan which enhanced the flow of my home. I had just arrived back home from three years overseas and wanted to update the look of our home -- from paint to furniture to wall art -- and I had no idea where to start. I found Syntha through a friend's recommendation and wasn't disappointed. In advance of her two-hour initial consultation, she gave me 'homework' and she also clearly outlined her fees and what we should expect. When she came to the door, I was instantly impressed by her sense of style as reflected in her appearance. I thought " if she can do the same thing for my home, then I'm in luck." As a pragmatist, I loved the way Syntha stood in each room, instantly absorbing what our likes and needs (e.g., grandchildren-friendly home) were. She broke everything down in each room (paint, floor coverings, window treatments, furniture) and offered great ideas (with photos) and samples (e.g., paint). I also appreciated her telling us what to ditch. Even my husband was surprisingly energized by her visit. We now have a plan and we're starting to implement -- which I consider a huge success!
