Tammy Coulter Design

I was referred to Tammy from a neighbor in my Elizabeth neighborhood. My mom was in need, as she is in the process of a full gut remodel on her lakehouse. I notified Tammy about the scope of work. Tammy touts that “No project is too small” though I still prepped her by letting her know she needed help with picking out fixtures, paint colors, tile, etc. This wasn’t going to be a major shopping spree endeavor picking out furniture, cabinets, etc. My Mom has a decent eye, but she still wanted to meet with a professional for inspiration and their expertise. The initial in-person meeting went well and my mom was pumped for their next meeting. Progress was being made! Well, per Tammy’s request, my mom emailed her the next morning regarding a few follow-up items. She’s also followed up via phone. Tammy has disappeared and been unresponsive. It’s been over a month now, and her lack of effort is both rude and unprofessional. The in-person meeting went great (my mom is the nicest person ever), so either Tammy is too busy, the job was too small, or she’s just simply too cool for school. Simply pulling a Houdini is totally unacceptable behavior. I cannot, and will not, recommend Tammy to friends, neighbors and/or family. I strongly recommend you seek design inspiration from an industry professional that will treat you, the client, with the respect you deserve.

We worked with Tammy throughout the process of building our new home, and Erin towards the end. Both are so much fun to work with and their light and energy just shines through! They listened to what my style and taste was and helped keep us on budget. The experience could not have been better. We love our home!

We have worked with Tammy on 3 different homes and she is wonderful! She has helped with every aspect of the design and renovation process and is knowledgeable in all areas. She has great relationships with many subcontractors and helps to keep projects on time and on budget. She has a great eye for design and color and is very collaborative. I have built three houses. Tammy has helped me with all of them and there is a reason I keep coming back - She is fabulous! She has a keen design eye and keeps you on track when you start heading down a path you will regret in the future. Her expertise includes all aspects of the building process, including exterior and interior selections and is great with working with color. In addition, her interior design work is top notch. She can help you mix textures, fabrics and colors seamlessly and help you make those hard decisions when it comes to lighting selection and tile design. Further, the addition of Tammy's daughter, Erin, to the company has been an excellent move. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between the two. Tammy and Erin are honest, efficient and joy to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional design services.

I have been so lucky to work with Erin and Tammy on 411 Lorna. I have renovated hundreds of houses over the years and this was my first experience with a professional designer. They were able to make a comprehensive plan prior to the start of the build. It made the entire project run seamlessly and come together absolutely beautifully at the end. Not only do they have an eye for design but they understand building and construction as well. Absolutely amazing people to be around and have on your project!

Working with Tammy is really a pleasure. She always has great ideas that fit any constraints you may have, whether it is budget or space. She is never pushy, and always takes care to meet our goals while lending her design expertise. The rooms which she did in our house consistently get commented on by our friends. We love Tammy and always recommend her!

I have worked with Tammy to design our new construction home. She has EXCEPTIONAL taste and provides services to match any style. She identified the best design plan for our home with such attention to detail. Working with Tammy on my new home has been a fun process and the end result is outstanding! She has a wealth of contacts to assure the best products and design of space. Tammy Coulter has tremendous experience and knowledge with a great eye for design. Tammy utilized her resources and contacts to assist us with product selection and always knows where to go to get the right product and look, for the many projects we have worked with her for over a decade. I have worked with Tammy on updating our shower/master bath, kitchen counters, creating a wine room, adding on a screened porch with fireplace, choosing paint colors, selecting many light fixtures and numerous pieces of furniture throughout the house along with material selection. She is a real pro, easy to work with, and provides creative and great ideas that I would never think of on my own. We receive so many compliments on our home, all thanks to TAMMY!!

As a award winning interior designer I decided to trust her and let her creativity flow. When I have friends come over.... the first compliments I get is my dinning room!
