2023 brought some tectonic shifts in my personal and professional life, frequently leaving me emotionally vulnerable and overwhelmed. The first things to fall off my list were anything to do with taking care of own needs. When I chose to sell my house following my divorce, my realtor recommended engaging with Lorrie for my home staging. I'd never truly staged a home before and was nervous at the prospect but Lorrie's presence put me right at ease. She understands how hard it can be to compartmentalize the significance of a move from the logistics of making that move happen. Lorrie was masterful at creating a bright, beautiful, refreshed look at a local Rectory that was untouched for decades ... and it showed. Not only were there basic hazards that had to be addressed but Lorrie had to: choose new light fixtures, identify new wall color, select new window treatments, correct furniture placement, assess the function of the space, and make a tired environment - beautiful. Lorrie provided exceptional consultation and honed on the right combinations of color to both brighten and warm the space. Her sense of design and placement of appliances, furniture, and accessories was spot on. She assessed the functional and physical flow of the environment, helped 'de-clutter' the space, moved furniture to different rooms, and made elegant changes to maximize the space and shift the feeling of the room from cold and uncomfortable to a place that feels like a sanctuary - where you want to stop and stay. Lorrie's sense of 'environmental style' is remarkable, and that's just indoors. She can translate her design acumen and color skills outdoors... and does. She creates elegant outdoor floral arrangements of all shapes and sizes for holidays and day to day living. I recommend Lorrie without hesitation and with much enthusiasm. We had such a great experience working with Lorrie Card on our home staging consultation prior to selling our home. She came in the door, went right to work rearranging furniture, adding bright colors AND it was amazing to see the atmosphere of our home change so quickly! She had a vision for each room and knew how to highlight its best features making it more appealing to potential buyers.
